3 Introduction Thank you for choosing the Cobra 2216 GPS alarm system. The Cobra 2216 is a system designed to provide the ability to track the vehicle via GPS in the event of theft. The Cobra 2216 device, installed in your vehicle, communicate via GSM / GPRS to a central server. The server is connected to a Secure Operating Centre (SOC) that monitors your vehicle around the clock. When a theft occurs, the SOC manage the theft, contacts the car owner to receive a confirmation, contacts the local police if necessary, as well as tracks and secures the vehicle. Securing a vehicle means that the SOC determines the vehicle stationary position to give an opportunity to the police to reclaim the vehicle. If special measures are required in case of a theft, you can arrange this directly with the SOC. These special measures are not included in the annual cost of Vodafone subscription. They will be invoiced separately by the SOC. Before the system can work Before the system can work, the installer have to install the Cobra 2216 device in your vehicle and send the information required to start up the system to M.Sjöberg AB. During the installation process, the installer will test the system in collaboration with M.Sjöberg AB. The subscription contract shall be completed, signed and sent as soon as possible to M.Sjöberg AB info@m-sjoberg-ab.se (The original is sent by mail). When the subscription contract is received, the system is activated by M.Sjöberg AB and an SMS is sent to the mobile phone number specified as the first number in the contract. A welcome letter will also be sent to the address specified in the contract. This welcome letter contains the following information: contract number, customer number and telephone numbers to the SOC and M.Sjöberg AB customer service. Contact the SOC in the event of a theft of the vehicle. Contact M.Sjöberg AB customer service for subscription inquiries or otherwise. Please read this manual thoroughly and keep it in your vehicle. 4 1. Quick Guide The operation of the system is very simple. Here are some basic things to consider: 1. Enter the phone numbers to Falck SOC and M.Sjöberg AB customer service in the mobile phones of all the drivers who will use the vehicle. 2. Immediately contact M.Sjöberg AB customer service if your contact or vehicle details have changed, e.g. new phone number, new personalized license plate, change of address, change or forgotten the identification questions and answers. This is very important because the SOC should always be able to reach the owner of the vehicle and to properly be able to track the vehicle in case of theft. 3. If your vehicle is stolen and you have not been contacted by the SOC, you should immediately contact the SOC to report the theft. 4. If you need to transport the vehicle by tow truck, train or car ferry with the ignition turned off, please activate the Transport Mode from your mobile application so that no false alarm is sent to the SOC (activation can also be performed by the SOC if required). 5. If you must leave your vehicle at the workshop for service or repair, you should activate the Garage Mode from your mobile application so that no false alarms is sent to the SOC if the vehicle battery is disconnected (activation can also be performed by the SOC if required). Do not forget to deactivate the Transport or Garage Mode when the transport / service / repair is complete, if the special mode does not have a specified end time. 4 USER MANUAL COBRACONNEX RECOVERY FIRST 2 MOBILE

5 2. What to do if. 2.1 You have discovered that your vehicle is stolen. You have probably already been contacted by the SOC, who want to confirm whether the theft is real or if it s a false alarm. If this has not yet happened, it means that the SOC has not automatically been alerted. If so, contact the SOC immediately and report the theft. The SOC operator will activate the theft procedure and track the vehicle. Also do a formal theft report to the police. 2.2 You have been hi-jacked. Immediately contact the SOC and report the theft. You have probably already been contacted by the SOC who want to confirm whether the tamper is a false alarm or not. This can occur if the power supply the device is interrupted. If the tamper is a theft attempt, the operator will activate the theft procedure and track the vehicle. 2.4 The vehicle is towed or transported. Activate Transport Mode by using your mobile application. Thereby you will avoid false alarms to the SOC during the transport of the vehicle by towing truck, train or ferry. Do not forget to deactivate the Transport Mode when the transport has finished. 2.5 The vehicle should be serviced. Activate Garage Mode by using your mobile application. Thereby you will avoid false alarms to the SOC during the service or repair of the vehicle at the workshop. Do not forget to deactivate the Garage Mode when the service / repair has finished. 2.6 You need to change your contact information or vehicle. Contact M.Sjöberg AB customer service when changing your contact information or vehicle. When transferring your GPS system to a new vehicle, the system must be shut down by M.Sjöberg AB before removing it from the old vehicle to avoid alerts to the SOC. 2.7 You want to end the subscription. Telephone numbers To get in touch with M.Sjöberg AB customer service or the SOC, you must call the phone numbers that is listed in your welcome letter. 3.1 Contact the SOC (in case of a theft) Call the number to Falck SOC which also is indicated in the welcome letter. The SOC is to take action if you have been hi-jacked of your vehicle or if the vehicle is stolen. The SOC operator will ask you some questions for identification purposes. You get two security questions that you must answer with the answers you provided in the contract. The SOC is on duty around the clock throughout the year. 3.2 Contact M.Sjöberg AB customer service (general information) Call the number to M.Sjöberg AB customer service which also is indicated in the welcome letter. The customer service will help you with questions about your Cobra system, or when you need information of an administrative nature, for example, contract issues, cost information, address. The customer service also needs to be contacted in case of sale of the vehicle or vehicle change with the transfer of the GPS device, to avoid any false alarm when removing the system. 7 4. System features 4.1 System components The system consists of a GPS / GSM / GPRS device that is installed in hidden place in your vehicle. 4.2 Operation The system has a so called anchor / motion alarm, that detects if the vehicle is moved more than about 300 meters with the ignition switched off. The alert is generated immediately to the SOC. Positioning of the vehicle throughout Europe using Swedish SOC in the event of a theft. Local SOC are available in all European countries, including Russia, the Baltic States and Eastern Europe and they are contacted by the Swedish SOC in case of theft abroad for tracking and securing of the vehicle and contact with local police. The vehicle can be positioned using GPS with an accuracy of about 20 meters. If no position can be obtained, the last known position is displayed when the ignition was last turned off. The device is connected to the vehicle battery and has a built-in backup battery to power the device in case of power failure. A fully charged backup battery lasts approximately 30 hours in sleep mode enabled. A message is sent to the SOC at low voltage or interruption of the main power supply. 4.3 Mobile application In addition, the system has a mobile application that can be used on your smartphone. This application is used to be able to position the vehicle or activate / deactivate the transport or garage modes. Note that the mobile application is blocked if the system is in theft mode and under management by the SOC. 4.4 Periodical health check The device in the vehicle periodically performs a health check every 3 months. If a potential problem is detected, The service provider will contact you to carry out additional checks. They may ask you to check your system at your dealer or installer. 4.5 Log All the system events, regardless of type, is logged by Vodafone and can later be checked by for example, requests from insurance companies. 8 5. Mobile application The mobile application provides you with services on your mobile phone to manage certain functions in the system. Please note that your mobile operator charges you for surfing costs (depending on your phone subscription) when you use this mobile application. 5.1 Welcome message When your subscription is activated, you will receive an SMS on your mobile phone. This SMS gives you the password for the mobile application. Your login is your customer number that you get in the welcome letter. 5.2 Access to the mobile application You can use your mobile phone to download and install the app My Connected Car (Vodafone Telematics SA) on the App Store for iphone / ipad or Google Play for Android phones / tablets. 1. Download and install the app on your ios or Android device. 2. Log in with your customer number (Shown in the welcome letter) and your Password (appears in the welcome SMS). 3. If you want to use a PIN code, you can activate it now or skip. 4. 9 5.3 Main menu The main menu gives you access to Car Finder, Special Modes, Trip reports, Settings, Messages, and to the voluntary Theft report. Trip report is a simple overview for the journeys by the vehicle in the last 10 days. Special Modes allows you to disable the system to prevent false alarms during workshop visits or transportation of the vehicle. The SOS button is used to contact the SOC and make a theft report if the vehicle has been stolen or to contact customer service. The icon opens the right sidebar displaying incoming messages. 10 5.4 Special Modes You can use your mobile phone to manage the two special modes. Press Start and set an end time to activate the special mode. Press Stop to disable special mode. Garage Mode: Activate the Garage Mode when servicing the vehicle, if the vehicle battery has to be disconnected. This is necessary to avoid that tamper alerts will be sent to the SOC. Transport Mode: Activate the Transport Mode during transport of the vehicle by towing truck, train or ferry. This is necessary if the vehicle moves with the ignition switched off to prevent vehicle movement alerts to be sent to the SOC. 10 USER MANUAL COBRACONNEX RECOVERY FIRST 2 MOBILE

11 5.5 Trip Report The trip report shows all the trips in chronological order for the last 10 days. A trip is a period of time from the ignition is switched ON until it is turned OFF. When the ignition is turned OFF the trip is uploaded to the server for display in the app. For each trip, the following info is displayed: Date and time of each start (departure) and stop (arrival). Trip distance in km. Duration of the trip. Average and maximum speed for the trip. The addresses of the trip start and stop. The trip route as a track on the map plotted every minute. 12 5.6 Car Finder On the main menu (press the transparent red bar field) or via the sidebar menu, the vehicle can be retrieved and displayed on a map. Click on to update the vehicle position on the map. With the icons at the bottom right, you can centre the map and get directions by foot or by car to the vehicle. Remember to allow the app to use the phone s GPS to get directions to the vehicle in the app or with Google Maps. 12 USER MANUAL COBRACONNEX RECOVERY FIRST 2 MOBILE

13 5.7 Sidebar menu On the sidebar menu (press on at the top left corner) you can access the different features in the application. The menu option Account shows the connected vehicle to the app, and provides the ability to change the app password and log out of the app and deleting all the account data from phone / tablet. 14 5.8 Settings In the menu option settings, you can specify app language, unit of measure for speed and distance, date format and time format. Here you can also activate and deactivate the PIN code for the app, activate and deactivate push messages or send a log file in case of any problems with the app. With the Google Snap to Roads slider enabled, the GPS track of the trip report is drawn along existing roads on Google Maps. 14 USER MANUAL COBRACONNEX RECOVERY FIRST 2 MOBILE

15 5.9 Device In the menu option Device, you can see information and status for the device, which is installed in your vehicle Diagnose In the menu option Diagnose you can check the communication between the device in the vehicle, the mobile app and the telematic server.
