2 WELCOME THE HUAWEI 2019 PARTNER SUMMIT We would like to express our gratitude for working so well as a team and being able to achieve last year s targets. This new year brings new goals and challenges that cannot be achieved without a contribution from everyone. Your participation in this year s private partner summit will allow us to share our ideas for 2019 and some of the new changes incorporated to the channel strategy that can help you evolve and grow your business in collaboration with the Huawei Enterprise Business Group. On the first day, you will get the sales, channel, marketing, and technical information needed to equip you to perform and achieve our targets. On the second day, you will schedule your private meeting with the Huawei team as needed. Transportation The distance from McCarran International Airport to Caesars Palace is about a 15 minute Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) or Taxi Ride. Pick up locations from Caesers Palace include: The Main Entrance and a Group Shuttle for the Award Dinner at the Casino Level between the Colosseum and the Casino Lounge. Drop off locations from Caesars Palace include: The Main Entrance Pick up locations at McCarran Airport include: Terminal 1: From Baggage Claim, take the elevator near door #2 up to level 2. Cross the pedestrian bridge on level 2 to the Terminal 1 Parking Garage. The Ride Share pick up is located on level 2M of the parking garage. Terminal 3: From Baggage Claim, take the elevator near door #52, #54, or #56 up to level 1. Cross the pedestrian bridge on level 1 to the Terminal 3 Parking Garage. The Ride Share pick up is located on the Valet level of the parking garage. Bus, monorail, rental cars, rideshare, taxis, and shuttles are easily accessible between airport, resorts, and nearby places. With a 40 year history of outstanding service, Caesars Palace offers 3,960 rooms and suites, within 6 towers. With a short walk or elevator ride, you ll have access to the conference center, restaurants, casino, entertainment and shopping. The Wednesday night welcome reception will be held at Trevi Italian Restaurant in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. The Partner Summit begins with breakfast Thursday morning at the Caesars Palace Conference Center, which is right next to the guest rooms in the Palace Tower. Just take the elevator from your Palace Tower room to level BR (Emperors Ballroom Level). Our registration table will be outside the Emperor Ballroom. See maps on page 8 and 9 for more details. Huawei s Awards Dinner on Thursday night will be privately held at the observation deck at the STRAT Hotel over 800 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. You ll experience VIP access and, after the award presentation, you can awaken your senses with unlimited standard thrill rides. You ll return Friday to the Conference Center for breakfast, private strategy meetings and a box lunch. Where to Find Your Badge: March 6th: Badges are available at the Welcome reception at Trevi Italian Restaurant in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. There will be a registration table at the restaurant at 6:00 p.m. You will need your badge to get your drinks and food. March 7th: Badges are available at the Huawei Registration Table outside outside the Emperors Ballroom at the Caesars Palace Conference Center. 4 SPEAKERS Greg Verdino Business Futurist & Digital Transformation Expert Greg Verdino is a highly regarded authority on the digital future who helps leaders build thriving 21st century organizations. He is known for his uncanny ability to forecast trends, spot the difference between fads and the future, and apply his understanding of the rapidly changing global landscape to solve pressing client challenges. Greg has advised 50 of the Fortune 500 along with a wide range of small-to-midsized organizations; has served in senior leadership positions at technology and digital media start-ups; and has launched innovative products, lines of business, and divisions from within traditional companies. Greg is the author of micromarketing: Get Big Results by Thinking and Acting Small (McGraw-Hill, 2010), and a contributing author to Reinventing Interactive and Direct Marketing (McGraw-Hill, 2009). David He President, Huawei Technologies USA, Inc. 13 years at Huawei David has taken a series of management positions, including product, sales, solution and marketing in the China and AP region. Since 2011, he joined the Enterprise Business Group of Huawei, leading the Solution Sales Department and later, the Marketing and Solution Department. As of recently, he was the President of EBG MKT and Solution Sales Department before coming to the United States. David is currently based in the Plano TX office as the President of Huawei Technologies USA, Inc. Mr. He will bring his leadership and business experiences to Huawei Enterprise USA, and lead the management team and all employees to embrace the challenges in the US market, and to reach the goal of continuous growth and sustainable profitability. Sufian Dweik VP Channel EBG, Huawei Technologies USA, Inc. 5 years at Huawei Sufian Dweik is a 26 year IT industry veteran who joined Huawei s Dubai s organization as head of the enterprise business and moved to lead the USA EBG channel business in August of Sufian s responsibilities include leading Huawei s channel strategy and plans, establish a working model between Huawei & channel teams and establish channel programs and regulations. Prior to joining Huawei, Sufian spent years leading Middle East, Mediterranean & Africa as Brocade managing director. In this role, his responsibilities included sales, pre and post sales, channel, and marketing team. He also had many years leading the public sector as a regional sales director for Cisco in addition he spent over 10 years with HP in different roles domestically and internationally. Joy Tan President, Global Media and Communications, Huawei Technologies USA, Inc. 12 years at Huawei As President of Global Media and Communications, Ms. Tan is responsible for setting and executing media and communications strategy for the company. She supports Huawei s three Business Groups in strategic communications planning and oversees management of the company s relations with international and Chinese media. She advises on advertising, social media, and branding campaigns aimed at building Huawei s global profile. As a company spokesperson, she is a regular speaker and panelist at tech industry events and conferences such as the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Multistakeholder Forum on Science, Technology, and Innovation. Previously, Ms. Tan was responsible for corporate branding and led an initiative aimed at transforming Huawei into a global brand.
