First course in the Security Certified Network Professional Exam. Prerequisites IT 124, IT 135, IT 142 or instructor permission. Explain why this course is being revised: The only revision being requested is an update to the course prerequisites. The reason for this requested revision is because changes to other course numbers and course content in the IT networking program have weakened the mapping between the current prequisites and the skills truly required for success in the course. The requested prerequisite revision better reflects the background knowledge students need for course participation. Other sections of this requested revision were copied from an MCO in inventory (but not auto-imported) with only minor revisions for clarity. The only significant content change from the current MCO to this revision is the prerequisites. Unit tests, based on different learning objectives from Security Pro practice exams, are placed throughout the course.
