Its modularity combined with the flexible design allows to manufacture small batches in many different versions. 6 Integrated CAN-Interface + First handle with directly integrated CAN electronic module + Advantages: material, weight and space saving. Compared to traditional wiring, there is only a set of wires connected to the bus line. This saves time and money in the assembly process. + Many possibilities to illuminate the control elements. Number of functions is restricted without the CAN module, because of the limited number of wires that can be routed to the handle (maximum 16 with the joystick bases J5 or J4, maximum 12 with the joystick base J6). + Communication: CANopen or SAE J Individual protocols are specific and have to be defined in cooperation with the customer. Capacitive presence detection The 361/362G can be upgraded with a capacitive sensor to detect the presence of the operator s hand. This function is intended to prevent unintentional actuation. Operation principle: Like in a capacitor, two electrical conductive electrodes have a defined capacitance. This capacitance is affected by the dimension of the electrodes, the distance and the permittivity. When a conducting object approaches these electrodes (e.g. a finger or the operator s hand) there will be a parallel capacitance present between the object and the capacitive sensor. The original capacitance will change and this will be identified by the sensor. Parameters like hysteresis, sensibility and distance of switching on and off can be adjusted through the controller software. This allows the operator to easily identify the functions. Function with one colour night : The centre position of the thumbwheel has one colour which is also visible when it is deflected. Function with Multicolour (only available upon request): In centre position, the Multicolour LED has the possibility to display three different colours (RGB = red, green, blue) and also combinations of these three colours. The other LEDs in the deflected positions are static LEDs with one colour. This enables to hold a color which is activated in ather position (for example in the upper deflection position) when the thumbwheel moves back to the center position. Therefore the status of the function which is activated and held (for example in the upper deflection position) will still be visible when the thumbwheel returns to the center position. The activation of the colours has to be managed by the integrated CAN electronics or an external electronics. Please contact our technical sales team for further information.
