4 1. Mount the 2 Braces to the Base Plate by fastening 4 small Philips Head screws to the bottom of the base with the braces oriented like the picture on the left. 2. Here is what the bottom of the Base Plate should look like with the screws secured. 3. Attach the Mounting Plate to the Mounting Braces using the 4 remaining small Philips Head screws. 4 P a g e

5 4. The picture on the left shows which holes you should use to properly secure the Mounting Plate to the Mounting Braces. Parts required for the Magetek MSR assembly: Magtek MSR Mounting bracket 2 small Allen head screws Allen key 5. Align the holes of the MSR Mounting Bracket with that of the Magtek MSR. 5 P a g e

6 6. Insert 2 small Allen Head screws through the Mounting Bracket and tighten them into the Magtek MSR using the included Allen Key. 7. Take the Dell Tablet. 8. Place the Dell Tablet face down into the Mounting Frame as pictured on the left. 6 P a g e

7 9. This is what the Dell Tablet and Mounting Frame should look like from the. The Dell Tablet should fit snugly into the Mounting Frame. 10. Insert the USB Cable into the groove of the Mounting Plate making sure the full size USB connector is on the left side and the Micro USB connector is on the right. 11. Place the Dell Tablet assembly face down on a flat surface; Attach the Mounting Plate to the Mounting Frame as shown in the picture on the left. 7 P a g e

8 12. Secure the Plate to the Frame at each corner using the 4 medium Philips Head screws. 13. Attach the USB connector to the USB port of the Dell Tablet. 14. Attach the Micro USB connector to the port on the Magtek MSR. 8 P a g e

10 Configuring the TM-T20II Bluetooth Receipt Printer Download the printer driver from this link: 1. On the Dell Tablet, swipe from the right edge of the screen to activate the charm and click/tap on Search. 2. Click/tap in the search box to activate the On Screen Keyboard then type Bluetooth settings and select it from the results that appear. 10 P a g e

11 3. Make sure the TM-T20II is turned on then switch Bluetooth to on. The TM-T20II should appear as a discovered Bluetooth device. 4. Extract the zipped file you downloaded; right-click on the unzipped file and select Run as administrator. 5. Click/tap Next. 11 P a g e

12 6. Select Agree then click/tap Install. 7. Wait while the driver installs. 8. Click/tap Next at the Printer Registration screen. 12 P a g e

13 9. From the Register, Change and Delete screen under Communication Settings, select Bluetooth from the dropdown then Save Settings. 10. Click/tap Yes to perform pairing. 11. Click/tap on Search. 13 P a g e

14 12. Wait while the tablet locates the printer. 13. At the Connect to printer screen, highlight the TM-T20II then click/tap Connect. 14. At the Connection complete screen, click/tap on Return to Main screen. 15. Close the Bluetooth Connector screen by clicking/tapping on the red box with the X. 14 P a g e

15 16. Click/tap on Yes to print a test page in Windows. 17. Click/tap on OK. 18. At the Register, Change and Delete screen under Complete, click/tap on Next. 15 P a g e

16 19. Click/tap on Close. 20. In Windows, open Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Locate and right-click the Epson TM-T20II Receipt driver icon, then select Printing preferences. 21. Select the Feed and Cut tab; In the Preset option window, click/tap to highlight Documents[No feed, No cut], then click/tap on Apply to save the changes. 16 P a g e

17 22. Select the Advanced Settings tab then click/tap on the Advanced Settings button. 23. On the left, select Barcode then under the Font Name dropdown, select Barcode Under the Type dropdown, select Code P a g e

18 25. Set the Element Width to 2 and the Element Height to 80 then click/tap on Set to save the changes. 26. Click/tap on OK to complete the setup. 27. Under Font Name, select Barcode3 and repeat the same steps 24, 25, and P a g e

19 28. Click/tap OK to save the changes. 29. Click/tap Apply then OK to exit out of the Printing Preferences window. 30. From CRE, go the Manager/Options Screen > Setup > Friendly Printer Setup. 19 P a g e

20 31 Under Select Friendly Printer, highlight Receipt; under Select Local Windows Printer, select EPSON TM-T20II Receipt; place a check in Cut receipt at this station; under the Printer Type dropdown, select Epson Thermal Receipt Printer; Click/tap on Save & Exit to save your settings. 20 P a g e

21 Connecting the Cash Drawer to the TM-T20II 1. The cash drawer gets its signal to open from the receipt printer and needs to be connected to it to open after each cash sale. 2. Locate the cable and set of keys that are included with the cash drawer. The keys are usually taped to the bottom of the cash drawer housing. 3. Insert the key into the keyhole and set the keyhole to the vertical (up/down) position. Note: turning the key to the left will lock the drawer and turning the key right will manually open it. 21 P a g e

22 4. At the Options/Manager screen of CRE/RPE, go to Setup > Setup Screen. 5. From the Hardware tab, go to the Default Cash Drawer Port dropdown and select USB Receipt Printer, then hit Update to save your changes. 22 P a g e

23 Connecting the Socket Mobile Bluetooth Barcode Scanner 1. The Bluetooth Scanner must be fully charged before first use. Please allow 5 hours uninterrupted charging for the initial battery charge using the supplied adapter. 2. Power on the scanner by holding down the power button until you hear a low to high beep. The blue light on the front of the scanner should pulse on and off while the device is on. 3. On the tablet click/tap, on the Windows icon to access the Windows Tile screen; tap on the magnifying glass on the upper right and type PC Settings in the search box that appears; select PC and devices, then Bluetooth. 23 P a g e

24 4. Tap on Socket CHS and then tap on Pair. 5. Pairing is completed when you hear a series of beeps from the scanner and it shows as Connected in the Manage Bluetooth devices panel. 24 P a g e
