2 About CHC17 The Personal Connected Health Alliance (PCHAlliance), is a non profit organisation formed by HIMSS, aims to make health and wellness and effortless part of daily life. The 2017 Connected Health Conference (CHC17) is the most anticipated event in connected health, bringing together the industry s two leading events and top thought leaders for three days of inspirational, provocative and forward-thinking discussion. 3 PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP The Digital Health Society: Europe meets North America Europe, USA and Canada are facing the same challenges regarding the need for their healthcare systems to change and to adapt to the Digital Society: bringing services better designed for the users, more data-driven processes and decisions, more preventive rather than curative, managing better the complexity of a multi-stakeholders system, and avoiding perverse effects of the traditional fee-for-services model, setting-up outcomes-based models. In 2017, European Presidency is assumed by Estonia, one of the most digitized country in the world. The Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia and the ECHAlliance have developed a movement called The Digital Health Society, bringing together policy-makers, large companies, start-ups, healthcare providers and professionals, citizens groups, researchers, insurers to progress the digitization of healthcare systems and foster the free flow of health data across Europe. This 1-day workshop is the opportunity for stakeholders from USA, Canada and Europe to exchange views and strategies, but also to dialog about specific challenges such as interoperability standards, data-governance, market access, and discover partnerships and business opportunities from both side of the Atlantic.
