7 Delivering sustainable design RED has a track record in delivering sustainable design solutions to conserve natural resources and minimise carbon emissions. Our dedicated energy team is experienced in this work and we have successfully delivered many fast-track international projects, delivering best practice and knowledge in a variety of key sectors. We have experience and capability in the provision of innovative engineering services for the design of new buildings, as well as the upgrade and refurbishment of existing buildings.

8 Commercial Offices RED has an experienced commercial offices team involved in the design of new buildings, as well as the upgrade and refurbishment of existing buildings. RED works for developers, architects, consultants and contractors both in the UK and internationally in all forms of contract arrangements. We are experienced in delivering commercial projects to the latest BCO standards and energy targets, including basebuild office developments, energy efficient office environments, government offices, high rise office and corporate headquarters.

RED has designed and delivered over 200 Data Centre projects for a broad range of clients including end users (such as financial institutions, retail banks, insurance providers and credit card agencies), managed service providers, wholesale colocation operators and telecoms companies.

13 High Rise RED has considerable experience in the design and construction of some of the world s tallest buildings. Our specialist team of MEP engineers have between them worked on over 20 high rise towers, including some of the world tallest buildings, many 300m to 500m and above. RED takes great pride in all its projects and its ability to accurately determine the space and volume for MEP services at the earliest stage of design. This is absolutely critical for tall buildings where MEP riser space has a large impact on planning and structural efficiency.

14 RED s Biocliomatic design innovation includes: The RED Chilled Ceiling and Beam alternative to fan coil units for hotel bedrooms coupled with seawater cooling. RED delivers Bioclimatic Architecture design of buildings and spaces based on local climate to provide visual and thermal comfort. Innovative capability in passive design (air, water, ground), local climate analysis, solar energy, natural ventilation, ground energy & day lighting Hotels RED s staff have worked on over 80 hotel projects in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, and have been extensively involved in the services design of upscale hotels, luxury resorts and boutique hotel projects. RED authored the new MEP standards technical design manual for the world s largest hotel group, InterContinental, with a specific brief to incorporate low carbon initiatives used in earlier individual hotel designs.

15 Residential Developments RED is experienced in new build, extensions, conversions and refurbishment projects for both high end and regular private residential buildings. We have developed energy masterplans for a number of large-scale private residential projects achieving considerable carbon emission savings to meet energy targets. Our staff have been involved in the design of numerous high profile, luxury residential projects in the UK, Europe and in the Middle East.

16 Our policy of engaging with equipment manufacturers, architects and regulatory bodies and persuading them to change what theydohas helped RED play a key role in developing a new breed of value engineered shopping malls, with M&E services savings of over 20% compared with past model designs. Retail Our staff have experience of a number of high profile shopping centre developments in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Far East. RED acts for a number of well known high street brands in the development and management of their retail space. RED has also been involved in new build, fitout, extensions, refurbishments, acquisitions and multiple site roll-out projects, with a goal to make a real difference by targeting a significant reduction in installation, maintenance and energy cost compared with conventional designs.

18 Revit Model CFD Modeling Romonet Sketchup Model Leading design technology RED engineers don t just use leading modeling software we re helping to improve it. Our modelers think outside the box and often achieve acceptable indoor conditions using the natural environment. RED employs Revit BIM designers and Six Sigma CFD programmers. We work with software houses to help improve the value of their products to M&E designers and give RED the edge. We also employ Romonet s innovative software suite for full life-cycle design optimisation and financial modeling in data centre design practice and energy inuse analysis to align with European Code of Conduct best practice.

19 Building Information Modelling (BIM) We use full three dimensional BIM enabled design, modelling and visualisation software comprising a suite of Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, 3D Studio Max and SketchUp Pro. Full 3D visualisation from concept stage through to final detail design. We Walk you and your team through your 3D Virtual project as it develops.
