Established web site for distribution of information to the public early in our preconstruction process 2. Held a Public Outreach Meeting for the citizens of Fort Collins 3. Attended meetings with CSU prior to the start of our construction and the start of the Fall Semester 4. Met with the Mall development group and Beck Construction to coordinate and establish communications 5. Met with the COFC Public Transportation to share construction schedule Relocate bus stops as necessary 1. Detailed schedules were developed and our PIO communicated potential impacts to affected stakeholders quickly a. Specifically communicated with the CSU and COFC public information officers 2. Communicated our construction schedule specifically with COFC Emergency Services 3. Published Project Announcements prior to start of new work Posted on CDOT webpage / Also hand delivered to business 4. Published Project Flyers to hand out to impacted business prior to the start of work 5. Provided detailed weekly lane closure reports to CDOT, CSU, and the COFC
14 Plan Development & Communication 1. Weekly Schedule Meetings a. Developed 6 Week Look Ahead schedules (Able to ID conflicts & communicate with Stakeholders) b. Attendees included: COFC Engineering, COFC Traffic, CSU Facilities, Utility Companies c. Published weekly meeting minutes and schedule to all stakeholders 2. Daily Paving Plans a. Published daily paving plans 3 4 days in advance of actual paving b. Paving plans were distributed to all stake holders to ensure they understood our scope of work c. Helped MM paving crews understand the scope of paving and work type on a daily basis d. Helped plan truck demand for paving e. Helped MM Asphalt Plant forecast material requirements f. Helped forecast QC and QA requirements

Prior to construction sent written notice of our schedule to utility companies: b. Held on site meetings with utility providers to answer questions throughout the project c. Published weekly meeting minutes and schedule to all Utility Companies d. Prior to Construction we documented the existing condition of Manholes and Water Valves e. We held a preconstruction meeting with all utility companies to discuss our plan and establish firm POC s f. Post Construction coordinated the inspection of Manholes and Water Valves with MM crews
17 Partnering Examples on the Project 1. Early communication about the project to stakeholders in the preconstruction phase a. Public Outreach Meeting for the City of Fort Collins b. Attended meetings with CSU prior to the start of our construction 2. Shared space for office with CDOT / Parsons Project Personnel and MM Project Personnel 3. CDOT s delegation of Approval for MHT s and traffic control to the COFC (Contract Maint. Section) 4. COFC provided a Certified Arborist for tree root inspection / mitigation vs. Force Account work with an outside company 5. CDOT s approval of an increase to the concrete rehab work at the request of the COFC prior to milling and paving 6. CDOT s approval of MM s request to add 6 Steel Fence for protection of foot traffic adjacent to the FDR work 7. MM provided additional QC support to control the quality of our paving (Westest and MM forces) 8. Substitution of High Early Concrete (Class E) in lieu of the specified concrete (Class D) at select locations 9. CDOT s approval of an Early Start to Work at Spring Creek to allow for increased traffic from the COFC Construction on Prospect Ave.

19 Merging Technology and Talent Examples on Project 1. Conducted a class with CAPA staff and our paving crews to review best paving practices prior to the start of the project 2. Used telephones to video and take pictures to help locate Manholes and Water valves that were lowered prior to milling 3. Use of Software to build paving plans and quantify daily work 4. Used Electronic Grade Control on our Contact Ski 5. Field crews used the CAT Paving Calc. App
