4 Microsoft WordArt Microsoft WordArt allows you to apply design styles, colours and special effects to ordinary text to enhance main headings, title pages and other headings in a publication. WordArt is inserted by using the WordArt button from the Insert Ribbon. The WordArt Tools Format Ribbon is used to modify the text and design of a WordArt object. WordArt objects act in a similar way to shapes in that they can be resized and/or rotated. When WordArt objects are resized however, this does not change the font size originally applied, even though the font size may appear to increase or decrease. To alter the text itself or edit the basic text formatting click on the Edit Text button. Exercise 45 1 In a new Blank A4 (Portrait) publication, from the Page Design Ribbon, click on the Margins button and select. 2 Set the Top: and Bottom: margins to 1.8cm and click on OK. 3 Position horizontal ruler guides at 5.5 cm, 6 cm, 7 cm and 7.5 cm and check Boundaries (from the View Ribbon). 4 From the Page Design Ribbon in the Schemes Group set the color scheme to. 5 From the Insert Ribbon click on the WordArt button. Under WordArt Transform Styles select Fill Blue, Reflection, Curved as shown at the right. The Edit WordArt Text dialog box will display with text selected. 6 Type: Pet Care Advisor 7 Select the text and format to font Bookman Old Style (or similar), font size 48, bold. Click on OK. The WordArt object is inserted and the WordArt Tools Format Ribbon will display. 8 In the WordArt Styles Group click on the Change Shape button. From the Warp section select Triangle Up to alter the WordArt shape. 9 Click on the part of the Shape Fill button and set the fill colour to Accent 3 (RGB (15, 111, 198)), Lighter 60%. 10 Click on the part of the Shape Outline button and set the outline colour to Accent 3 (RGB (15, 111, 198)), Darker 25%. 11 With the WordArt object still selected, click on the Shadow Effects button and from the Drop Shadow section select Shadow Style SECTION 3 BSBITU404A Publisher 2010
5 12 Click on the Shadow Effects button, position the cursor over and select the colour Accent 4 (RGB (219, 245, 249)), Darker 25%. 13 In the Shadow Effects Group click on the Nudge Shadow Down button six times to move the shadow further down below the text. 14 Click on the Edit Text button. Change the word Advisor to Advisory then click on OK. 15 Click and drag the WordArt object up, to between the top margin and the 5.5 cm horizontal ruler guide, and resize and position as shown below. 16 Draw a rectangle between the left and right margins and the top margin and the 5.5 cm horizontal ruler guide. 17 From the Drawing Tools Format Ribbon click on the More button from the Shape Styles Group and select the style Linear Up Gradient - Accent From the Drawing Tools Ribbon click on the Send Backward button. 19 Draw a text box between the left and right margins and the 6 cm and 7 cm horizontal ruler guides. 20 Type: Article by Blue Collar Vets Your Local Veterinarian Service 21 Format the text to font Bookman Old Style, font size 12 pt and bold. Set the colour to Accent 3 (RGB (15, 111, 198)), Darker 25% and set alignment to Align Center. 22 Apply a top and bottom border only, formatted to Line Color: Accent 3 (RGB (15, 11, 198)), Darker 25% and Style:. 23 Save as Pet Care Advisory. 6 Columns Exercise 46 1 Draw a text box between the left and right margins from the 7.5 cm horizontal ruler guide down to the bottom margin. 2 From the Text Box Tools Format Ribbon click on the Margins button and select. 3 Click on the Columns button and select. 4 Click once on the of the Number: box to set the columns to 2. 5 Click once on the of the Spacing: box to set the spacing to 0.449cm then click on OK. 6 From the Insert Ribbon click on the of the Insert Blank Page button and select. 7 Ensure Number of new pages: equals 1, After current page is checked and that in the Options section Create one text box on each page is checked. Click on OK. The new page will be inserted and a text box automatically drawn between the margins. Page 2 will be selected. 8 Format the text box on page 2 as with the text box on page 1; wide margins, two columns and 0.499cm spacing. 9 Return to page 1 and click in the large text box. Insert the file Care of a New Puppy from your exercise files folder. The following dialog box will display. Because there is too much text to fit in the first text box Publisher wants to flow the text to the next text box. Click on Yes. The text will autoflow and the next text box will be displayed. 10 Click on the Go To Previous button that will display near the top left of the text box to return to the first. Press Ctrl A to select all the text and format to 11 pt. (Text in the second text box will be formatted as well). 11 Select the heading Care of a New Puppy, format to 14 pt and set the font colour to Accent 3 (RGB (15, 111, 198)), Darker 25%. 94 SECTION 3 BSBITU404A Publisher 2010
7 12 Select the heading Going Home and set the font colour to Accent 2 (RGB (0, 157, 217)), Darker 25%. Double click on the Format Painter button to select the formatting then apply to the remaining headings that have bold and italics already applied. 13 Insert one picture into each page of the publication as shown below. Size and position the pictures so that all the text still displays and paragraphs are not inappropriately split between different columns/pages. (We used Clip Art searching with the keyword puppy.) 14 Save and close the publication. Headers and Footers Headers and footers are text and/or page numbers, the date, time, etc., that are repeated on every page. Headers and footers default to the same position on every page OR you can specify to have different headers and/or footers on odd and even pages (which are called alternating headers/footers). The following diagram shows single headers and footers in a publication. 8 Headers and footers are applied on the master pages. Each publication includes a master page where text/object(s) can be inserted. Any data on a master page will appear on every page of the publication. Single Header and Footer Exercise 47 1 Open the publication called Pet Care Advisory that you created in the last exercises. Ensure page one is displayed and save as Pet Care Advisory 2. 2 From the Insert Ribbon click on the Insert Header button. The master page and Master Page Ribbon will display and the Header text box will be selected. Header Text Box The Master Page Ribbon is used to insert page numbering, dates and times, switch between the header and footer, create two page master pages (for alternating headers and footers). 3 With the cursor flashing in the Header text box type: Care of a New Puppy and format the text to Arial, 10 pt, bold. 4 From the Master Page Ribbon click on the Show Header/Footer button to switch to the footer. 96 SECTION 3 BSBITU404A Publisher 2010
9 5 Type the following text in Arial 10 pt, italic. Gardening Info (press Tab twice) Page (press the Spacebar) 6 From the Master Page Ribbon click on Insert Page Number button. 7 Draw a horizontal line above the Footer text box along the bottom margin guide. Format the line weight to 1½ pt and colour to Accent 3 (RGB (15, 111, 198)), Lighter 40%. 8 From the Master Page Ribbon click on to return to the publication. 9 Zoom out to Whole Page to view the entire publication. Switch to the second page to see that Page 2 is displayed at the bottom of the page. 10 Save, print and close the publication. Alternating Headers and Footers Alternating Headers and Footers have two headers and two footers, one each for the odd and even pages of a publication. Page numbers are displayed at the right on odd pages and at the left on even pages (i.e. the outside edges of the publication). Ensure page 1 is displayed and Boundaries are checked. 2 From the View Ribbon click on the Two-Page Spread button. This will change the publication to appear as a booklet. 10 3 From the Page Design Ribbon click on the Guides button and select. Ensure the Margin Guides tab is displayed. 4 In the Master Pages section check Two-page master as shown below. Click on OK. 5 From the Insert Ribbon click on the Insert Header button. The right hand master page will display with the header text box selected. 98 SECTION 3 BSBITU404A Publisher 2010
11 6 Press the Tab key twice to move the cursor to the right margin then type: Puppies & Cats and format to Arial, 10 pt, bold. Copying Headers and Footers Exercise 49 1 Select the text in the Header text box and from the Home Ribbon click on the Copy button. 2 Scroll to the left and you will see another Header text box. Select the text box and move it downwards so that the bottom border aligns with the top margin guide. 3 Size the sides of the text box to align with the left and right margins. 4 Click at the left of the text box and click on the Paste button. The copied header text will insert at the left margin of the header text box. 5 Change to Whole Page view to display both master pages. 6 Select the Footer text box at the bottom of the left hand page and press F9 to zoom in. 7 Move the text box upwards so that the top border aligns with the bottom margin guide. 8 Click in the text box so the alignment tabs may be viewed on the horizontal ruler. Click and drag the Right Align tab to the 18 cm mark as shown at the right. Note If the text box is resized without moving the Right Align tab the tab will not be available as resizing the text box will move it outside the text box. 9 Size the sides of the text box to align with the left and right margins. 10 Insert the following text into the Footer text box in Arial 10 pt, italic. Page (press the Spacebar then click on the Insert Page Number button) (press Tab twice) Pet Care Advisory 11 Scroll to the right and insert the following text in Arial 10 pt, italic. Pet Care Advisory (press Tab twice) Page (press the Spacebar then click on the Insert Page Number button) 12 Draw a horizontal line above the Footer text box along the bottom margin guide. Format the line weight to 1½ pt and colour to Accent 3 (RGB (15, 111, 198)), Lighter 40%. 13 Copy the line then scroll to the left and paste the line. Position the line above the left hand Footer text box. 14 Zoom out to Whole Page to view both master pages. 15 From the Master Page Ribbon click on. The page numbers will be displayed at the outer edges of the publication (as shown on the next page). BSBITU404A Publisher 2010 SECTION 3 99
12 16 Save, print and close the publication. Tip To edit a header or footer double click on the relevant header or footer and edit as required. When finished, double click on a blank area of the publication. BorderArt BorderArt allows you to add fancy border designs to rectangles (as shown at the right), pictures, picture placeholders and text boxes. Note BorderArt cannot be applied to lines, WordArt or any object with a non-rectangular shape. General Instructions 1 From the Insert Ribbon click on the Shapes button. 2 Select the Rectangle tool and draw a rectangle around the edge of the page to create a simple page border. 3 With the rectangle selected, right click and select. 4 Ensure the Colors and Lines tab is selected. 100 SECTION 3 BSBITU404A Publisher 2010
13 5 Click on. The BorderArt dialog box will display. 6 From the Available Borders section select the BorderArt style required, e.g. Celtic Knotwork. 7 Click on OK. The colour and weight (i.e. thickness of the BorderArt) can be changed if desired from the Line section of the Colors and Lines tab. 8 Click on OK from the Format AutoShape dialog box to apply the BorderArt. Exercise 50 1 Ensure the New template gallery is displayed and click on. 2 Scroll down to the Publication Types section and select. 3 From the Standard Greeting Cards section select then click on. 14 4 Change the margins to 1.25 cm (top, bottom, left and right). 5 Create page 1 as shown below inserting a floral picture, selecting an appropriate Color Scheme and using WordArt to insert the Thank You text. 6 Using a rectangle apply BorderArt of your choice at the outer margins. 7 Save the publication with the file name Thank You. 8 On page 2 insert another floral picture in the centre of the page. 9 In the centre of page three insert the text For your support and format attractively. 10 Copy the BorderArt from page 1, paste into pages 2 and 3 and position as shown below. 102 SECTION 3 BSBITU404A Publisher 2010
15 11 At the bottom of page 4 insert the following text. Made by (Your name) 12 Apply Align Center alignment to the text and format your name to italics. 13 Using BorderArt apply the Basic... Thin Lines style to the text box. Change the Weight: to 4 pt and apply appropriate colouring. 14 Resize the text box and position in the lower centre of the page. 15 Save and close the publication. Creating Your Own BorderArt 1 Using the rectangle tool draw a rectangle around the edge of a new blank document to create a simple page border. 2 With the rectangle selected, right click and select. Ensure the Colors and Lines tab is selected. 3 Click on then on. The Create Custom Border dialog box will display. 4 Ensure the Use Clip Organizer to select the picture check box displays a tick. Click on. 5 Select a picture of your choice and click on OK. Tip Select a simple picture many graphics are too complex to be made into BorderArt. 6 Type in a name for the new BorderArt, e.g. Orange Flowers, then click on OK. 7 Click on OK from the BorderArt dialog box and the Format AutoShape dialog box.
