1 2017 Troop UNIFY Instructions Getting Started Girl Scouts of Connecticut is participating in the UNIFY pilot program this year. The UNIFY system is an online platform for service unit and troop volunteers to manage the QSP Program, and for girls and their families to participate in the QSP online program. The new system combines the functionality of nut-e, the previous QSP Program application, and the QSP online program to give service unit QSP managers, troop QSP managers, girls and their families a single platform that will keep track of all facets of the program. These instructions will cover logging into the system, choosing the theme of your troop s Take Action project (optional), and adding troop users and girls. A second set of instructions will be available in mid-october, which will show you how to add paper nut and candy orders, access reports, and obtain information about the amount owed to council. 1

HOW TO ACCESS UNIFY As an authorized troop QSP manager (product manager) or troop leader, you will receive an email inviting you to log on to your Troop dashboard.

If you cannot locate the email, please search your spam, junk or promotions folders in your mailbox.

2 HOW TO ACCESS UNIFY As an authorized troop QSP manager (product manager) or troop leader, you will receive an inviting you to log on to your Troop dashboard. RETURNING USERS If you have previously registered one of your Girl Scouts for whom you are the parent or guardian or if you have accessed the QSP online program as a troop volunteer, you will be brought to a log in screen and should use the password you created when you created the account. If you have forgotten your password, click on Get Help link on the login page. Once at the login page, you will put in your password and be prompted to confirm that your troop and service unit are correct. If you are also managing the QSP Program for your service unit AND/OR if you are parent/guardian of a Girl Scout, you will be able to select the correct dashboard from the pop-up menu. You would select the GIRL DASHBOARD to look at your own Girl Scout s dashboard and the SERVICE UNIT DASHBOARD if you are a service unit level volunteer. 3

If you are the troop leader or troop QSP manager for more than one troop, you will be able to select which troop you would like to view. HOW TO VIEW/ADD TROOP USERS FOR YOUR TROOP If you are a troop leader who is not a troop QSP manager, your first step should be to add your troop s troop QSP manager to UNIFY. From the hamburger menu on the left side of the screen, choose the option for ROSTERS. Click on Troop and you will see a list of troop users for your troop. To add a user, click on Add User. 5

Click on the pencil to the left of your troop number and use the drop-down menu if you want to change your troop s level. HOW TO VIEW AND ADD GIRLS TO YOUR TROOP IN UNIFY (PLEASE do not manually add girls until the council has completed its scheduled girl uploads on October 16). To view a list of girls in your troop in UNIFY, click on Girl and then on the Search button on the right hand side of the screen. A list of girls will appear. 7
