1 How to Apply for the ACE Program When applying for the ACE program, please use the following steps as a guide to make sure your application is received and processed. Step 1 Go to the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College website at. Once there, hover over the Admissions and Registration tab and click on Admissions. Step 2 From the Admissions page, look to the list on the left side and click on Dual Enrollment (ACE).
2 Step 3 The ACE page offers brief information about the program. At the bottom of the page there are links for questions that are often asked. If you click on the How do I apply for ACE? link, the page will expand to a brief set of directions. At the bottom of this section, there is a link that says Ready to Apply? Click here! This is the link you need to click to begin your application. Step 4 Once you click the link above, you will be taken to the application on Penn Highlands mypeak website. ****Please be aware that you cannot use your browser s back button once you begin the application. You must use the Next Page or Previous Page links provided.
3 Step 5 This is where you begin to fill out the application. There are six sections to the application. You must click on the Next Page link to progress through the application. If you need to go back, please use the Previous Page link. Remember not to use your browser s back button. The following are tips to keep in mind as you go through the application. Section 1 asks for an address. Be aware that it should be a professional address as it is possible for some humorous addresses to go to the admissions spam folder. Section 3 of the application is demographic information. Much of it is voluntary, but please include your Social Security Number. You do not have to fill out the Voluntary Information section if you do not wish to. Section 5 of the application is High School Information. First, it will ask you for the Year of High School Graduation. Use the following guide to help you. If you are currently in: 12 th Grade th Grade th Grade th Grade 2020
4 It is also important here that you choose your correct school. If you are enrolled in a Career and Technology Center and your home district, you must choose the school where you are taking the ACE course. Section 6 of the application asks whether or not you wish to receive s and text messages from Penn Highlands. We do encourage you to opt in to both of these as it will provide you with information on the many college events that take place. Lastly, in Section 6, you need to sign your application. You do this by typing your first and last name in the box provided. You must do this before moving on. Step 6 Before you submit your application, you want to review your information. The application will flag any sections that you missed or did not complete correctly. Using the links provided as well as the next page link, correct your application.
5 Step 7 It is now time to submit your application. Once you have made the necessary corrections, scroll to the bottom of the application and click on the Submit Application button. Step 8 Once your application is complete, you will receive an ed letter from Penn Highlands to the address you provided in the application. This letter will have a username and password for you as well as some information for registering for courses. It is important that you do not lose this information as you will need it when you register for your ACE courses. Thank you for your interest in the ACE program at Penn Highlands!
