3 1. Introduction This document describes step-by-step the Commissioning Procedures of the IMVS2000v2. Depending on the selected communication interface, two different Commissioning Procedures can be executed: Local Keypad Biffi Assistant (RS232 or Bluetooth connection with a PC) In this document it is assumed that the IMVS2000v2 is correctly configured. For any further details see [1] and [2]. 2. References [1]: IMVS2000v2 Installation and Operating Manual, BIFFI document MAN720 [2]: IMVS2000v2 Biffi Assistant Manual, BIFFI document MDE231 [3]: IMVS2000v2 DTM HART User Manual, BIFFI document MDE Commissioning Operations Description Each Commissioning Procedure consists in five different steps: 1. Log in as user with correct permission level. 2. Perform the Calibration. This operation consists in the execution of two Full Strokes (both opening and closing) for finding the mechanical limits and the working pressures. 3. Perform the Baseline Signature. This operation consists in the execution of a Full Stroke (both opening and closing). 4. Perform a Maintenance Signature. This operation consists in the execution of a Full Stroke (both opening and closing). 5. Perform the Baseline PST. This operation consists in the execution of a PST (partial closing or partial opening). 6. Perform a Manual PST. This operation consists in the execution of a PST (partial closing or partial opening). For any further details see [1] and [2]. 3 29/06/2015

Commissioning Procedure Local Keypad Before starting each of following operations, the valve/actuator should (must for PSTs) be carried on the position where the PST occurs (i.e. if the PST is a partial closure the valve/actuator should be on the Fully Open Position otherwise on the Fully Close Position).

Commissioning Procedure Local Keypad Before starting each of following operations, the valve/actuator should (must for PSTs) be carried on the position where the PST occurs (i.e. if the PST is a partial closure the valve/actuator should be on the Fully Open Position otherwise on the Fully Close Position). For performing the Commissioning Procedure the following steps must be executed (according the sequence they are listed): - Enter in Setup Mode Menu as User (Log in as User ) - Perform a Calibration - Perform the Baseline Signature - Perform a Maintenance Signature - Perform the Baseline PST - Perform a Manual PST For details about Local Keypad Menu see [1]. 1. The Normal Mode Menu should available on the Local Display of the IMVS2000v2 (if it is necessary see [1] for going to the Normal Mode Menu ). 2. Push the SELECT button, the User Menu appears. Select the User User (Use UP and DOWN buttons to select the user) and then push SELECT. 3. The below screen appears. Biffi Assistant Commissioning Procedure Before starting each of following operations, the valve/actuator should (must for PST) be carried on the position where the PST occurs (i.e. if the PST is a partial closure, the valve/actuator should be on the Fully Open Position otherwise on the Fully Close Position).

Biffi Assistant Commissioning Procedure Before starting each of following operations, the valve/actuator should (must for PST) be carried on the position where the PST occurs (i.e. if the PST is a partial closure, the valve/actuator should be on the Fully Open Position otherwise on the Fully Close Position). For performing the Commissioning Procedure the following steps must be executed (according the sequence they are listed): - Login with a correct permission level (User or VAC) - Perform the Calibration - Perform the Baseline Signature - Perform a Maintenance Signature - Perform the Baseline PST - Perform a Manual PST For details about using Biffi Assistant see [2]. Execute the following steps for performing the Commissioning Procedure. 1. Launch the Biffi Assistant Application and click on Work Online. For device connection details see [2] /06/2015

13 2. Select the User level (User or VAC) and digit the password. Then click Login. 3. Waiting the loading data process is complete. 4. Select the Calibration Menu on the left; the Calibration Menu parameters appear on the right /06/2015

5. Right mouse click on Calibration Cmd and click on Send Command 900. The valve/actuator should start moving; waiting the command is executed. At the end of the process this message will appear.

Cmd and click on Send command The valve/actuator should start moving; waiting the command is executed. At the end of the process this message will appear /06/2015

16 9. Right mouse click on Signatures-FST Menu, then select Read tab Signature-FST. Op. Cal. T., Op. Max. T., Cl. Cal. T, Cl. Max. T., Base. S. St., B. S. Date, B. S. Time and FST Stored parameters are updated. Verify the parameters value. Base. S. St. must be Passed ; otherwise see [1]. 10. Right mouse click on Mnt. Sig. Cmd and click on Send command The valve/actuator should start moving; waiting the command is executed. At the end of the process this message will appear /06/2015

Time, and FST Stored parameters are updated. Verify the parameters value. Op. Status, Cl. Status and Mnt S. St. must be Passed ; otherwise see [1]. 18 12. Select the PST Results Menu on the left; the PST Results Menu parameters appear on the right. 13. Right mouse click on Base. PST Cmd and click on Send command The valve/actuator should start moving; waiting the command is executed. At the end of the process this message will appear /06/2015

19 14. Right mouse click on PST Results Menu, then select Read tab PST Results. PST Cal. T., PST Max. T., B. PST. St., B. PST Date, B. PST Time and PST Stored parameters are updated. Verify the parameters value. B. PST St. must be Passed ; otherwise see [1] /06/2015

20 15. Right mouse click on Manual PST Cmd and click on Send command The valve/actuator should start moving; waiting the command is executed. At the end of the process this message will appear. 16. Right mouse click on PST Results Menu, then select Read tab PST Results. PST St., M. PST Date, M. PST Time and PST Stored parameters are updated. Verify the parameters value. PST St. must be Passed ; otherwise see [1]. It is possible to show graphs by clicking on PST Graphs. For details about graphs see [2]. The commissioning procedure is now complete. It is possible to save settings and graphs by using Export button (see [2] for details) /06/2015

For performing the Commissioning Procedure the following steps must be executed (according the sequence they are listed): - Perform the Calibration - Perform the Baseline Signature - Perform a Maintenance Signature - Perform the Baseline PST - Perform a Manual PST The print screen of this procedure are obtained by using the PACTware application (see [3] for details). Execute the following steps for performing the Commissioning Procedure. 1) Open the HRT_IMVS2000v2 DTM and open the connection with the device. Load all data by clicking on Read all device parameters button /06/2015

2) Select the Calibration Menu and perform the Calibration Command by clicking on the Execute button. Enable the cyclical reading by using the button.

Enable the cyclical reading by using the button. 3) During the Calibration process the Calibration Status is In progress. 23 4) Disable the cyclical reading by using the button. Select the Signatures-FST Menu and perform the Baseline Signature Command by clicking on the correspondent Execute button. Enable the cyclical reading by using the button. 5) During the Baseline Signature process the Baseline Signature Status is In Progress. Wait the Baseline Signature Status changes its value: - Passed go to 6. - Other values see [1] It is possible to show the graph recorded by clicking Graphs. For details about graphs see [3] /06/2015
