2 Tw Wireless WaveBlades in the WaveTest system are cnnected t the WLAN access pint and client device respectively. Utilizing the measurement-grade receiver n the WaveBlades, WaveIOT is able t see every single frame as it passes in and ut f the AP r mbile device. Cupled with the line-rate packet-analyzing engine f the WaveTest system, WaveIOT is able t btain a full picture f the WLAN system, perfrming an in-depth analysis f its peratin, and helping t pinpint perfrmance-related issues. The WaveAgent applicatin running n the client device prvides further infrmatin abut data traffic. WaveIOT supprts testing f SISO and MIMO client devices. Fr SISO client device testing, a SISO Wireless WaveBlade can be used fr mnitring. Examining perfrmance ver distance is ne f the mst imprtant and effective steps in revealing client device perfrmance prblems. WaveIOT achieves this by integrating the prgrammable attenuatr cntrl (RF Management Unit r RFMU) int the testing applicatin. 5 WaveAgent A small-ftprint sftware utility, WaveAgent can be laded nt a WLAN client device t prvide devicespecific measurements f frwarding rate, thrughput, vice MOS, lss, rund trip latency, and jitter. WaveIOT makes use f WaveAgent t islate perfrmance issues t the client applicatin, client driver, r netwrk infrastructure when pr perfrmance is bserved. Netwrk as well as client-specific Quality f Experience (QE) can be determined and cmpared, making it easier t islate the rt cause f perfrmance issues. Vendr-prprietary capabilities such as classified authenticatin r encryptin including WAPI can be validated, and client-specific features determined.
