Cisc WLAN Advise and Implement Services Service Summary This service prvides a planning, design, implementatin, and knwledge transfer services fr the fllwing: Applicatins: Secure Mbility fr Data Applicatins Vice ver WLAN (VWLAN) Vide ver WLAN Technlgies: Cisc Wireless LAN Cntrller Cisc Access Pints x Clean Air WLAN Client devices Tablets The services align t deplyment parameters f an upper limit f less than 500 Cisc Access Pints (APs) r 6 Cisc Wireless LAN Cntrllers (WLCs) fr bth new and pre-existing deplyments: The Services are cmprised f the fllwing: WLAN Architectural Design Develpment WLAN Detailed Design Develpment WLAN Implementatin Deliverables Prject Plan Wireless LAN Architecture Design Dcument WLAN Detailed Design Dcument Deplyment Dcuments (Cnfiguratin, Testing, and Implementatin Plans) Lcatin f Services Services are delivered n-site and remtely t Custmer. Sale via Cisc Authrized Reseller. If yu have purchased these Services thrugh a Cisc Authrized Reseller, this dcument is fr descriptin purpses nly; is nt a cntract between yu and Cisc. The cntract, if any, gverning the prvisin f this Service will be the ne between yu and yur Cisc Authrized Reseller. Yur Cisc Authrized Reseller shuld prvide this dcument t yu, r yu can btain a cpy f this and ther Cisc service descriptins at Prject Management Cisc Respnsibilities Cntrlled Dc. #EDM Ver: 6.0Last Mdified:10/30/ :36:21 AM ASF-CORE-WLAN Advise and Implement Service.dc Prvide Custmer with a list f designated Cisc persnnel rles and respnsibilities under this service descriptin. Prvide a Prject Management Plan ( PMP ). PMP is a baseline dcument frm which the Cisc PM can manage
2 Page 2 f 6 deliverables, assess prgress, and manage change management issues and any n-ging questins. Wrk with Custmer t identify and dcument dependencies, risks and issues assciated with the successful cmpletin f the prject. Prvide a Prject Schedule highlighting deliverables, crrespnding milestnes, planned prject events, resurce(s) and timescales. Participate in scheduled prject review meetings r cnference calls, if required. Prvide Custmer with the identity f persnnel requiring access t Custmer premises, at least ten (10) Business Days prir t the scheduled date such persnnel requires access. Deliver a weekly prject status reprt t the Custmer. Prvide a handver, fllw n actins, lessns learned, and exceptin reprts (if necessary) upn prject cmpletin. Custmer Respnsibilities Prvide the Cisc PM with a list f designated Custmer persnnel rles and respnsibilities under this service descriptin. Ensure that key Custmer persnnel (such as architecture design and planning, netwrk engineering, netwrk peratins persnnel) are available t prvide infrmatin and t participate in review sessins and ther infrmatin gathering activities. The Custmer PM will als ensure that Cisc is prvided with all infrmatin, data and dcumentatin as Cisc reasnably requires t prvide Services and cmply with Cisc s respnsibilities in this Service Descriptin. This infrmatin includes, but is nt limited t: (i) infrmatin relating t Custmer s netwrk, design, business and ther applicable (ii) functinal and/r technical dcumentatin relating t such and (iii) tplgy maps, cnfiguratin infrmatin and existing and prpsed netwrk infrastructure. Identifying primary and backup Custmer authrized site cntacts wh shall prvide necessary infrmatin, btain access clearances and crdinate with ther rganizatins/third parties with respect t Services at that site. Participate in scheduled prject review meetings r cnference calls, if required. Ensure that Cisc s request fr infrmatin r dcumentatin needed fr the prject is prvided within ten (10) Business Days f Cisc s request, unless the parties agree t anther time perid fr respnse. Crdinate with any external third parties, such as in cuntry Carrier/Telc activities, deliverables and schedules. Review the fllwing: business, technical and peratinal architectural, tplgical, and functinal requirements including perfrmance, scalability, capacity, availability, resiliency and security; future technlgy plans. Review with Custmer relevant technical dcumentatin, including high level design, netwrk tplgy diagrams, netwrk device cnfiguratins, sftware releases, flr maps, prvisining plicies, Bills f Materials, and any relevant dcuments, as required. Cisc and Custmer shall mutually agree n requirements and infrmatin cllected WLAN client devices, interperability, perfrmance, and security; WLAN netwrk infrastructure management, availability, perfrmance, and scalability; WLAN applicatins services identified abve Wrk with Custmer t review existing architecture and analyze readiness f existing infrastructure t supprt new WLAN services and applicatins. Areas t be addressed include the fllwing: existing and planned authenticatin infrastructure such as RADIUS servers, and external authenticatin databases (e.g., Active Directry, LDAP); existing and planned wired netwrk infrastructure design and implementatin; existing and planned netwrk management infrastructure; existing and planned client devices, applicatins and management prcesses. Create a high level WLAN Architecture Design which includes: Custmer WLAN Architecture Design WLAN architecture diagram and recmmendatins; suggested wireless design requirements, including: required signal strength and SNR design targets; required data rates, target thrughput, and desired availability;
3 Page 3 f 6 capacity requirements (number f users); remte site WLAN management and access cnsideratins using Cisc FlexCnnect feature WLAN security recmmendatins; netwrk management recmmendatins; hardware and sftware release recmmendatins. Remtely present a summary f the analysis and recmmendatins f the Wireless LAN Architecture Design t the Custmer key stakehlders and prject spnsr. Review with Custmer a draft f the Wireless LAN Architecture Design Dcument fr cmment and apprval befre it is frmally cmpleted and released. Custmer Respnsibilities Prvide a single pint f cntact (such as a prject manager r engineering team lead) fr all WLAN planning and design related issues. Prvide Custmer requirements and desired wireless netwrk design specificatins fr each WLAN technlgy and mbility applicatin thrugh ne r mre f the fllwing methds: ne (1) requirements wrkshp; interviews f key stakehlders cnducted with Cisc; cmpleting requirements questinnaire prvided by Cisc. Prvide and review with Cisc: business, technical and peratinal architectural, tplgical, and functinal future technlgy plans. Custmer and Cisc shall mutually agree n requirements and infrmatin cllected Prvide infrmatin and review with Cisc technical dcumentatin, including high level design, netwrk tplgy diagrams, netwrk device cnfiguratins, sftware releases, flr maps, prvisining plicies, Bills f Materials, and any relevant dcuments, as required. Prvide infrmatin and review with Cisc: type f client devices, radi technlgy (i.e., a/b/g/n), vice/data supprt, capacity requirements, perfrmance requirements, accessibility/reliability requirements, infrastructure management, and client management; list f Wireless client cards with driver versins. Prvide infrmatin and review with Cisc: existing and planned wired netwrk infrastructure, QS, and netwrk design; existing/planned WLAN devices, cde versins and cnfiguratin files f apprpriate devices; existing/planned security infrastructure such as VPN cncentratrs, RADIUS servers, and external authenticatin databases (e.g., Active Directry, NT, LDAP); existing and planned netwrk management infrastructure and peratinal prcedures; existing and planned client management prcesses; infrmatin n current and planned traffic characteristics. Prvide detailed infrmatin that the existing IP telephny netwrk infrastructure (i.e., wired netwrk infrastructure, CallManager, QS, etc.) is cnsistent with Cisc IP Telephny design recmmendatins and dcument any pre-existing perfrmance r stability prblems in the existing wired IP telephny netwrk that may adversely impact the Vice ver WLAN implementatin. Specify the planned camera types, frame rates, and vide CODECs. Ensure that key Custmer stakehlders and prject spnsrs are available t attend Cisc presentatin f the WLAN Architecture Design. Review with Cisc a draft f the WLAN Architecture Design Dcument, prviding cmment and apprval befre it is frmally cmpleted and released. WLAN Detailed Design Develpment Develp an in-depth, WLAN detailed design aligning with Custmer s business and technical requirements. Cisc Respnsibilities Review Custmer requirements fr each WLAN technlgy and mbility applicatin using ne (1) r mre f the fllwing methds: cnduct Custmer requirements interview with Custmer key stakehlders; prvide requirements questinnaire fr Custmer t cmplete. Review the fllwing: business, technical and peratinal detailed design, tplgical, and functinal requirements including scalability, capacity, availability, resiliency and security; future technlgy plans.
4 Page 4 f 6 Review with Custmer relevant technical dcumentatin, including high level design, netwrk tplgy diagrams, netwrk device cnfiguratins, sftware releases, flr maps, prvisining plicies, Bills f Materials, and any relevant dcuments, as required. Evaluate netwrk device cnfiguratins and technical dcumentatin. Design elements may include: WLAN infrastructure including WLAN security, management and perfrmance features available via the Cisc Prime Infrastructure (PI), the Cisc Wireless LAN Cntrllers (WLC), and the Cisc WLAN Access Pints including 802.1x and Clean Air capabilities; Mbility Services Engine applicatins including cntext-aware, adaptive wireless Intrusin Preventin Systems (wips); Cisc Unified Wireless Netwrk infrastructure; Access Pint cnfiguratin; type f client devices, a/b/g, vice/data supprt, capacity requirements, perfrmance requirements, accessibility/reliability requirements, infrastructure management, and client management; security infrastructure; IP addressing scheme; switching and ruting infrastructure; netwrk management infrastructure; WLAN client devices; IP telephny infrastructure. Cmplete the detailed design discvery t integrate technical requirements and design gals int the detailed design. Cisc and Custmer shall mutually agree n technical requirements and infrmatin cllected. Create a WLAN Detailed Design. The WLAN Detailed Design typically includes sme r all f the fllwing: netwrk lgical and physical tplgy; IP addressing scheme; switching and ruting design; WLAN design; Access Pint cnfiguratin (SSIDs, VLANs, Security, RF settings, etc); type f client devices, a/b/g, vice/data supprt, capacity requirements, perfrmance requirements, accessibility/reliability requirements, infrastructure management, and client management; security design; sftware prtcls and feature cnfiguratins; Wireless LAN netwrk management design; WLAN IP telephny design; sample cnfiguratins templates fr Cisc wireless infrastructure devices; sftware recmmendatins based n feature/functinality; hardware recmmendatins, as applicable. Prvide sftware image recmmendatins fr all Cisc WLAN devices, as required. Remtely present a summary f the analysis and recmmendatins f the Wireless LAN Detailed Design t the Custmer key stakehlders and prject spnsr. Review with Custmer a draft f the WLAN Detailed Design Dcument fr cmment and apprval befre it is frmally cmpleted and released. Wrk with Cisc t analyze and develp detailed design and cnfiguratin recmmendatins. Ensure that key Custmer stakehlders and prject spnsrs are available t attend Cisc presentatin f the WLAN Detailed Design. Review with Cisc the WLAN Detailed Design Dcument, prviding cmment and apprval befre it is frmally cmpleted and released. Cisc Wireless LAN Implementatin Cnfigure, test and verify a WLAN technlgy implementatin against Custmer WLAN Detailed Design, WLAN Netwrk Implementatin Plan and WLAN Test Plan specificatins. Cisc Respnsibilities Gather infrmatin n existing WLAN infrastructure and validate all implementatin prerequisites fr successful implementatin. Gather infrmatin n existing WLAN security infrastructure and peratinal prcedures. Prvide Custmer with implementatin activities, either n site r remte, which may include: verify all hardware/sftware versins and upgrade, as apprpriate; cnfigure hardware and sftware. Update the WLAN Detailed Design t dcument implemented cmpnents, devices and applicatins t reflect the final as-built design Obtaining sign-ff signature frm Custmer n cmpletin f the WLAN Implementatin Test Plan testing changes t the WLAN Implementatin Test Plan test cases; defining and dcumenting failure recvery prcedures. Crdinate and develp with Cisc s input an implementatin schedule that meets the Custmer s change and release management prcesses and Cisc cnsultants availability Install the Cisc prducts in accrdance with the Cisc prduct specificatin. Prvide all necessary specialist test equipment, unless therwise agreed with Cisc. Manage the delivery, installatin, and cnfiguratin f equipment nt prvided by Cisc, that is required t wrk with, r act as, part f the Cisc-prvided equipment. Make available any persnnel and/r access t End Custmer site as necessary fr Cisc t perfrm the WLAN Implementatin Test Plan test cases. Manage any Custmer internal change management prcedures. Prvide access t netwrk devices. Prvide physical access t facilities, remte netwrk access (e.g., via IPSec VPN), relevant netwrk dcumentatin and device cnfiguratins. Prvide Custmer stakehlders respnsible fr perfrming Implementatin tasks, t include: assemble system cmpnents in staging area, if required; install hardware and sftware, if required; cmplete cabling and ther physical cnnectivity, if required; implementing and cnfiguring the detailed design with the assistance f Cisc engineers; executing the Implementatin Plan Use test cases with the assistance f Cisc engineers; evaluating the test results against acceptance criteria with the assistance f Cisc engineers. Make any crrectins t Custmer-prvided and/r installed equipment, as required. Prvide input and assist in updating the WLAN Detailed Design dcument with final, as-deplyed infrmatin. General Custmer Respnsibilities Unless therwise agreed t by bth parties, Custmer shall Custmer Respnsibilities respnd within tw (2) business days f Cisc s request fr dcumentatin and infrmatin needed fr the Services. All infrmatin (such as but nt limited t: designs, Prvide Custmer stakehlders respnsible fr perfrming tplgies, requirements) prvided by Custmer is implementatin planning tasks, which may include: assumed t be up-t-date and valid fr the Custmer s assisting Cisc engineers in develping r current envirnment. Cisc Services are based upn updating the WLAN Detailed Design; infrmatin prvided t Cisc by Custmer at the time f assisting Cisc engineers in develping r the Services. updating any needed detailed implementatin Custmer acknwledges that the cmpletin f Services is prcedures and device-specific cnfiguratins; dependent upn Custmer meeting its respnsibilities as assisting Cisc engineers in develping r indicated herein. updating test prcedures as needed based n Identify Custmer s persnnel and define their rles in the participatin f the Services. Supprt services prvided by Cisc cmprise technical advice, assistance and guidance nly. Custmer expressly understands and agrees that the Services shall take place and cmplete within 150 calendar days frm issuing a Purchase Order t Cisc. Custmer t ntify Cisc f any scheduling changes related t the prject at least ten (10) Business Days prir f the scheduled activity. Custmer expressly understands that the fllwing are ut f scpe fr the Services: Dedicated Prject Management RF Design Elevatrs, stairwells, wrkshps and mechanical spaces, unless specified Pwer Over Ethernet requirements fr access pints Ethernet switch lcatin specificatins Cnfiguratin f wireless infrastructure Extensive pst implementatin netwrk perfrmance validatin Implementatin r design f Wireless Intrusin Preventin (wips) Implementatin r design f Cntext Aware Lcatin including calibratin Frmal training fr staff (utside f infrmal knwledge transfer) Cabling and physical installatin f any equipment Invicing and Cmpletin Invicing Services will be inviced upn cmpletin f the Services. Cmpletin f Services Cisc will prvide written ntificatin upn cmpletin f the Services t Custmer. The Custmer shall within five (5) Business Days f receipt f such ntificatin prvide written acknwledgement f Cisc s cmpletin f the Services. Custmer s failure t acknwledge cmpletin f the Services r t prvide reasns fr rejectin f the Services within the five (5) Business Day perid signifies Custmer s acceptance f cmpletin f the Services in accrdance with this Service Descriptin.
