1 How to use VMworld 2014 US Mobile App 1. Go to apps to download the app. 2. Once downloaded, tap the VMworld 14 icon to open the app. 3. You will see the Splash screens followed by an instructional page that ll tell you to swipe left/right or to tap the hamburger icon or the attendee icon to start using the app.

2 4. Click anywhere on the Instructional page to start using the app. The first page you will see is the What s Happening page. Make sure to go to this page often to find out what s happening during VMworld 2014 US onsite. You can also look at the following from this page: a. Sponsors by their sponsorship level b. Sessions by their Tracks (note each Track has different colors) c. VMworld 2014 US Popular Sessions

3 5. Tap the hamburger icon for any Conference specific information and Tap the attendee icon for any attendee specific information. For any attendee specific information, you will have to log in to the app using your vmworld.com credentials.

4 6. From the conference specific page, click on the Social Media link to use different Social Media channels. Within the Social Media page, click the Important links tab to use the various VMworld social media features. 7. From the Conference related page, click on Daily Highlights to see what s happening every day during VMworld 2014 US. Make sure to visit this page 2 3 times a day to make sure you aren t missing anything!

5 8. From the conference page, click on Sessions to view all the sessions. You can also search for sessions by clicking the search icon from the Sessions page, or by days (by clicking the days), or by Track and Sub Track (by clicking Tracks, and then by clicking Sub track). You can reset your search by clicking the Track again and select Clear Filter

6 9. Click the Speakers icon on the Sessions page to view the complete list of VMworld 2014 US Speakers. The speakers are listed alphabetically.

7 10. Click on a session to go to view additional details to understand more about the session (It s Speaker(s), Track, Sub Track, Technical Level, Market Segment, Product and Topic, Audience, and Session Type). If you are eligible to schedule a session, you can do so by clicking the + sign or my clicking + Add to My Schedule menu from the Session Details page. If you are not logged in already, the app will prompt you to log in before you can schedule a session.

9 If the session was added successfully, you will see a session added successfully message for few seconds. If the session wasn t added to your schedule, the mobile app will give you an error message. You can also add sessions to your Interest by clicking the Star icon on the session details page.

10 If you want to tweet about a session, you can do so by clicking the tweet icon 11. Click on the Sponsors/Exhibitors menu to go to the Sponsors/Exhibitor listings page. Click on the name/logo of the Sponsors/Exhibitors to view other detailed information (booth number, description, website) about them.

11 You could also tweet about the sponsors/exhibitors by clicking the tweet icon from the details page. 12. Tap Agenda at a Glance to view the high level agenda of the week. Tap > to view Agenda for up coming days.

12 13. Tap Programs/FAQ to view the other programs happening during VMworld US You could also find the link to the FAQ page on this page.

13 14. Tap Moscone Center to view the maps of the campus. Click the map(s) to be able to pinch/zoom them. 15. Tap San Francisco to search for Transportation, and Food/Drink around San Francisco.

14 16. To play the VMworld Game, tap the attendee icon and tap VMworld Game. If not already logged in, you must log in to use this feature (or any attendee specific feature). You can log in by clicking the Login text or the app will prompt you to log in when you click VMworld Game, Notes, Surveys, and My Interests/My Schedule. Once logged in, you will see your name instead of Login. Tap the? icon right next to VMworld Game to learn about the gaming offered during VMworld 2014 US. You can earn points/achievements by going to sessions, taking surveys and scanning QR codes place at various places throughout the Moscone Campus.

Once you attend a session, if eligible, surveys will be automatically pushed to your mobile app. We also request our attendees to take the General Session Survey, Overall Event Survey and a few other surveys to better improve future VMworlds. Since, your survey responses are so important to us, we made surveys link available on the attendee specific page as well as conference specific page. To take the survey, simply click the survey that s been made available for you. Again, you have to be logged in to take the surveys.

17 18. Tap the Notes link to create a note for yourself.

18 19. Tap My Interests/My Schedule to view the sessions you saved as the sessions that you were interested in or to view the sessions that are already in your schedule.
