Specifically the customizations on your website and the different software version you may use. Manuals are updated monthly and are available on our website. The Google Map & Radius Search Add-on v3.4 is only installable for RPL7.x. This manual may be changed without prior notice.

3 Introduction RPL, without any add-ons, supports basic functionalities of map and Google Map. That is only for PropertyShow (detailed property data page) view which simply shows the property on the map. The Google Map add-on extends the RPL Google Map functionality to the following: 1 Showing all searched properties on the current listing page with the customizable icons per listing on the map and showing their details of them by clicking on them. Ability to draw directions and route from a custom place to property and showing it on the map. Ability to do radius search and showing results within the specified radius, and drawing the circle highlighting inner of the circle with the specified radius.

4 Installation & Configurations Like any other add-on package, you can install the add-on package from the Joomla installer. After installation, a new layout for the rpl_googlemap is added, named listing, and the new module rpl_direction is installed on your website. Automatically by installation, the Google Map with the position RPL_Plisting_top is made to modules so you should see a Google Map is loaded on top of your listing pages. Google Map modules understand automatically whether it is being loaded in a PropertyListing page or a PropertyShow page and it automatically loads the proper layout. 2 Important Remark: By default (without the Google Map add-on installed) there are two instances of the Google Map module which are for PropertyShow Google Map and street view. They are positioned to RPL_Pshow_map and RPL_Pshow_street and one should not change the position of these instances. Important Remark: The Google Map for PropertyListing layout should set to position RPL_Plisting_top for the correct functioning, especially for the case of Ajax search. Otherwise the Google Map data is not updated and will not be synced with the search results. If you do not want to benefit from the Ajax search and pagination, you can set the module on some other positions in your page. There are several options for the Google Map in the listing mode and some are for PropertyShow mode. Map Type, Unique ID This is the first setting which is related to Google Map for PropertyShow. It can be set as typical or street view. Using RPL default templates, you should set one as the unique ID for the case of typical and two for street view. Zoom Zoom is the default zoom value set when the dynamic zoom is off. This setting is applicable for both PropertyShow mode and PropertyListing mode. Even if the dynamic zoom is set to yes and no results are found the map, zoom will be as what this settings says. The bigger the number, the closer the zoom will be. Dynamic Zoom If set to yes, a zoom level is automatically set based on the distances and number of results. This zoom is calculated to show all the results on the listing page. For example, if you search for properties in the US and two properties are found, one in NY and the other in CA, the zoom is calculated to show all the US. Dynamic Zoom Correction You can use this to correct the zoom set by dynamic zoom. Based on your Google Map height & width, it is possible that dynamic zoom may need some corrections which you can do it by this field.

5 Width & Height The width and height of Google Map in pixels. Find Direction & Text Direction Setting the find direction to show, enables a link on the lightbox for drawing directions. If text direction is set to show also, a text based direction guide is also shown. Default Latitude & Longitude By default, the map is positioned to show are where resulted properties are located. If no results are found (through search) the map will load to this position. The default value is set for New York in the US. 3

6 Radius Search After installing Google Map, another option is added to search module location part, which you can set for radius search. In the case of radius search, the search is done in the usual way unless some non-zero number is set for radius. When one enters a number for radius, based on values he set for state, city, etc. the radius search is done. All properties within the specified range are shown on the map while it draws a circle showing the area. See the image below: 4 Important Remark: For the radius search to work there should be at least one big length unit enabled in RPL unit settings. Big length units are kilometer or miles, otherwise the radius search will not work. Important Remark: Coordinates of the center of the circle drawn are got from Google (GeoCode service). While it is rare, it is possible that Google cannot retrieve the unknown position/location. Important Remark: The Google Geocoding API (free version) has some limitations on the number of allowed requests per day. 1 This means radius search is limited to this number of times per day. If you need more, prepare Maps API for Business from Google. 1 At the time this manual is written this limit is 2500 requests per day (Meaning limit of 2500 radius search per day). Currently this limit is mentioned in the following page on Google:

7 Appendix A: Google Map Update & Changelog Google Map add-on update notifications are shown in the same way as RPL, through the backend home in the changelogs section.
