2 Candidate Website Logon To access the IMI Awards online assessments system, you will need to visit IMI Awards website: (If you are going to be using this on a regular basis, you may want to add the IMI Awards website to your web browser favourites/bookmarks) You will be presented with the IMI Awards home page: You will need to click the Online Assessments icon from the home page: Page 2
3 This will take you to the Invigilator logon page: Insert your PIN and Password and click Sign In Page 3
4 Once you have successfully logged on, you will be presented with the candidate logon page: All IMI Awards candidates will be given a candidate number. This candidate number will be provided to you in the form of an automated following successful registration. You can also retrieve candidate numbers by running registration reports from web portal 2. (Important note: You will need to allow at least 48 hours after successful registration for online assessments to be available) Please insert the Candidate Number and Candidate Surname and click Sign In. (Important note: All candidates must be under invigilation conditions at this point) Page 4
5 Candidates Online Assessment Home Page You will now be presented with the candidates online assessment home page: You will see the first 10 online assessments the candidate is registered for. If your candidate is registered for more than 10 assessments, you can change the Page Number in the top right hand side of the screen. The first assessment in the Current Assessment list for all candidates is titled.demonstration Assessment. This is a non-technical assessment which will show candidates how to navigate their way through the assessments. As this assessment is not scored, it will reset immediately after an attempt. Page 5
6 Attempting Online Assessments Once you have the required online assessment on the page, you will need to click on the Start icon: (Important note: You will need to ensure all anti pop up software is disabled before you click on the Start icon. Please see the IMIA Online Assessment Common Problems document for more information) Once the online assessment has been started, you will see the assessment introduction page: The introduction will advise the number of questions, and the time the candidates have to complete the assessment. The timer in the right hand corner will start from the moment you open the assessment. Page 6
7 Most of our online assessment questions are in a multiple choice format. The candidate indicates the correct answer by clicking the radio button next to the relevant answer: Answer A Answer B Answer C Answer D On occasions, candidates may be presented with a drag and drop question format. For the drag and drop format, the current version of Java will need to be installed. The free Java download, can be found using the following link: Once you have completed all of the questions, you will need to click on the Submit icon: Page 7
8 You will then be presented with the Assessment Feedback confirmation page: The assessment result will be shown here. (Please be aware that if you are undertaking an Accreditation assessment, the result will not display here) To close the online assessment page, please click on the Close icon: Page 8
9 Once closed, you will be presented with the Assessment Outcome page: This page confirms the percentage score, the time taken and the start/finish date and time. Please click the OK icon: You will now be taken back to candidates Current Assessments page. Page 9
10 Previous Online Assessment Results Access to the previous online assessment results can be found via the candidates Completed Assessments page: On the right hand side on the candidate home page, you will see the View drop down menu. The View menu will default to Current Assessments. Please change this to Completed Assessments: Page 10
11 You will now see a list of all previous assessment results: We also provide an Online Assessment Record of Achievement in the form of a certificate. Page 11
12 If an assessment has been successfully completed, you will see the Print icon in the Record of Achievement column. Clicking this icon will allow you to print the record of achievement: Page 12
13 Centre Personnel Website Logon To access the IMI Awards online assessments system, you will need to visit IMI Awards website: (Important note: You will need to use Internet Explorer 6 or above. No other web browsers are currently supported) (If you are going to be using this on a regular basis, you may want to add the IMI Awards website to your web browser favourites/bookmarks) You will be presented with the IMI Awards home page: You will need to click the Centre Personnel Reports icon from the home page: Page 13
14 This will take you to the Centre Personnel logon page: Insert your PIN and Password and click Sign In You will now be presented with the Centre Personnel home page: Page 14
15 Reports From here you can run the following reports: Attempt history by date by assessment Candidates registered at centre by date Candidate assessment history Candidate outstanding assessments Previous assessment results (prior to and including 31/03/13) Page 15
16 Attempt history by date by assessment This report will provide you with information on the attempt history of a single or multiple assessment for candidates registered at your centre: Update the From date and To date to the date range you want the report to be based on. If you know the assessment number, you can insert it in to the Assessments free text field (use a comma to separate multiple assessments). You can also search for the assessment(s) by clicking Search & Select. You will now be presented with the search page: Page 16
17 Insert the assessment number in to the free text field and click Search: Select the relevant assessment and click OK. You will now see the assessment(s) you have selected: You can now click Generate PDF for the report in a PDF file, or Generate Excel for the report in a Excel file. Page 17
18 Candidates registered at centre by date This report will provide you with registered assessment information on candidates registered at your centre: Update the From date and To date to the date range you want the report to be based on. You can now click Generate PDF for the report in a PDF file, or Generate Excel for the report in a Excel file. Page 18
19 Candidate assessment history This report will provide you with assessment history information on 1 or multiple candidates: If you know the candidate number, you can insert it in to the Candidates free text field (use a comma to separate multiple canidates). You can also search for the candidate(s) by clicking Search & Select. Page 19
20 You will now be presented with the search page: Using any one of or a combination of the fields displayed, you can search for your candidate by clicking Search: Page 20
21 Select the relevant candidate and click OK. You will now see the candidate(s) you have selected: You can now click Generate PDF for the report in a PDF file, or Generate Excel for the report in a Excel file. Page 21
22 Candidate outstanding assessments This report will provide you with all outstanding assessment information on 1 or multiple candidates: If you know the candidate number, you can insert it in to the Candidates free text field (use a comma to separate multiple canidates).
