1 CTX Return Guidelines November 2015 Corporate Tax Return for Companies, Banks, Insurance and Trusts After successful login, go to Messaging and select CTX Return. On clicking CTX Return option from the Messaging item from the Main Menu, the following page is displayed. Steps to create a New Return 1. Click on New above, a screen is displayed asking to select Company and Tax Year as shown. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 1

2 2. Select appropriate Company and Tax Year. Click on OK button to proceed. 3. Depending on the company type, a form is displayed for you to input different type of information. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 2

To enter / edit the sub menu details, click on the sub menu buttons, for example Balance Sheet, Chargeable Income, TDS and Trading and Profit and Loss Account and the appropriate forms will be open. Click on OK/Save to confirm the entry made. Click on Cancel/Discarde Changes to revert back to the previous details. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 3

4 Payment Details After input require information on main form, click on Payment button to insert payments details. 1. Click on Add button to enter payment details such as Bank, Branch, Account No, Debit Date and Debit Amount. 2. Select row before deleting a specific row, by clicking on Delete button. 3. Click on OK button to save the payments and return to main form. 4. Click on Cancel button to discard payments and return to main form. Saving the Return After entering all the required information, you may choose to save/exit/send/print/delete the form. If you have left out certain information, (e.g. require field, balance sheet details) you will get a list of Mauritius Network Services Ltd 4

5 errors which will indicate you which fields have not been entered or which amount does not tally with the respective fields. The form can be saved as complete when all required information has been entered. After saving the return, the screen will return to its neutral mode for next operation. Sending the Return Only when all required information has been entered, that is form saved as complete, you will be allowed to send the return by clicking on Send button. The notification form will be displayed. Click on Send button, after selecting the notification types. A message will be displayed after successful sending. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 5

6 Steps to retrieve/update a Return 1. On the neutral page, click on Retrieve button. A search screen will be displayed for record selection. 2. Select a Company Name and search by either Tax Period or Job No. If company is not selected all records for the mentioned Tax Period will be displayed. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 6

7 3. Select the company by clicking on Company Name or select the radio button and click on OK button. 4. Depending on the application status, the return can be viewed or edited. Steps to delete a return 1. On the neutral page, click on Delete. A search screen will be displayed for record selection. Only records that have not yet been sent can be deleted. 2. Select the required company and search by Tax Period or Job No. By clicking on Search button a table will be listed with matching records. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 7

8 3. Select one or more rows from the table by checking the check box on the left of the record(s) to be deleted and click on the OK button. 4. A message will be displayed to confirm deletion of the selected records. Click on OK to confirm. 5. The screen will return to its Neutral mode ready for the next operation. Steps to Print a Return 1. On the neutral page, click on Print. A search screen will be displayed for record selection. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 8

9 2. Select the required company or search by Tax Period or Job No. By clicking on Search button a table will be listed with matching records. 3. Select the return to be printed. A screen will be displayed where you can select which section to print. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 9

10 4. Check the required checkboxes to select the documents to be printed or click on Select All button to select all sections. 5. Clicking on Print will take you to a screen preview with the selected sections. Click on the Print button to print the return. Mauritius Network Services Ltd 10
