1 Frequently Asked Questions: Pinpoint MobileAVM for Tablets Introduction Pinpoint Communications MobileAVM enables you to track your vehicles location wherever you and your tablet are. This powerful mobile application further enhances the benefits of the Pinpoint AVM vehicle tracking system. Increase productivity by improved transparency of the location of your mobile assets and fleet. Reduce costs by improving operational efficiency with lower fuel and maintenance costs. Improve customer service with clear reporting and accurate proof of service data. Pinpoint MobileAVM is easy to use and fast to run. MobileAVM utilises the latest vehicle location reported by your Pinpoint TRK IVU. The Key Features of MobileAVM are: View one or many vehicles on a map Change mobile tree to view vehicles, drivers, runs or geo-fence locations Maps are fully navigable down to street level Save favourite map views for faster navigation Zoom to vehicle on the map View vehicle status including; Driver ID; Address; I/0 state Poll vehicle for latest location Enable Fast Track for 10 second location updates Generate report and plot replay on a map Important: You must contact the Pinpoint Customer Service Team on to enable the Mobile AVM app.

2 Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I view a vehicle group? A: Short Tap on the left of the group heading will expand or collapse the vehicle tree. Q: How do I display the vehicle icon on the map? A: Short tap on the Vehicle or Short tap on right of group heading will select single mobiles or all in group.

3 Q: How do I view and zoom in on multiple vehicles on the map? A: Long Press on a Vehicle Group Select all items in all groups as seen below. Once selected Zoom to select in group. Q: What does the new Zoom Icon do? A: The new Zoom icon (magnifying glass with two cars) displays all vehicles assigned to the user.

4 Q: How do I zoom to a vehicle on a map? A: Tap and Hold to reveal the mobile action menu. Select the required function from the menu. Helpful Hints: Fast Track will increase the update rate for a period of time. Show last 4 or 8 hours allows you to view quick report and plot on the map. To plot the trip tap the Plot button. 5 Close the trip and clear the map Figure 2: Plot trip data on the map Q: How can I navigate around the map? A: Use the map controls in the top left hand corner of the screen. Helpful hint: Use the icon to save your favourite views. Use the icon to view your current location.

6 Q: How can I view vehicle history and report on a specific date range? A: Select Show History to run a customised report for up to 8 hours. A: In order to run a report for a specific date and time range, select From and To fields to set the date and time required. Once set you can select Run to view the Vehicle activity as displayed below.

7 You can also view the route positions on the map by selecting Plot. Results displayed: Select the close icon to exit and return to the home screen

8 Q: How do I view my vehcile in Google or Apple Maps? A: Tap and hold on the required vehicle, select Show in Google Maps/ Show in Apple Maps. Image displayed with selection below.

9 Q: How can I view the Driver Tree and driver details? A: Pressing the icon section under the Mobile AVM heading allows you to select the Driver Tree. Drivers are displayed in the same view as the WebAVM and Smart Locator clients, in the assigned driver groups. The driver status, inputs, and details are provided in this view as seen in the image below:

10 Q: How do I follow a driver on the Map or view the long press menu? A: Press and hold on the required driver. The below settings will allow you to follow a driver on the map, similair to the vehicle long press menu. Q: How do I view the Run Tree details? A: Pressing the icon section under the Mobile AVM heading allows you to select and view the Run Tree, as seen below. The run status, inputs and detail sections provide the run s information. The Runs are displayed in the same view as the WebAVM and Smart Locator applications, according to the assigned run groups.

11 Q: How do I view the Run on the map? A: The image below displays the View on Map option selected from the long press menu. The Long press menu options will contain the settings similar to the vehicle tree. Q: How do I view Location details? A: To view the Location Tree press the icon section under the Mobile AVM heading as seen in the below image.

12 Q: How can I view the existing Locations on the Map? A: To view the existing Location types on the map, press and hold on the Locations Type Tab on the bottom of the screen. The Select Location Types message box will be displayed, as displayed in the image below. Select the check box for locations that you would like to view on the map and press SAVE.

13 Once saved the location tree will display the saved location settings as shown below: Note: in order to search a location, enter the location name in the search field and Press the search icon. To view the Locations Press and Hold on thespecific location, once the hold again. appears press and This will then bring up the View on Map Setting as seen below.
