3 Introduction Medtech32 Version 22.4 contains the following enhancements: New Features/Enhancements Description of Change Category Impact SafeRx links are available when prescribing medications with safety issues to assist with safe prescribing and administration. Do Not Upload to ManageMyHealth Classifications has been enhanced to remove all classifications previously uploaded to ManageMyHealth if the Do Not Upload to MMH indicator is changed. Clinical Clinical Moderate Moderate The size of the Patient Contact text box is increased to allow more detail to be collected during a patient contact. Clinical Moderate The Patient Immunisation Status report now includes the full Chart Number, Patient Middlename and NHI. Clinical Minor Claims Preview now provides the ability to exclude zero valued claims. Financial Minor Middle Name details are now included under Merge Fields & Query Builder Admin Minor The Log files for Message Transfer Utility and Patient Join are now recorded on the database, allowing concurrent access by multiple users. 4 Issues Resolved Description of Issue Category Impact Accident Number was intermittently being dropped off the ACC claim file causing the claim to be rejected by ACC. Financial Moderate Printing of just the 3rd Overdue period is now possible within Statement Run. Financial Moderate Cancelled appointment no longer sends an SMS reminder. Admin Moderate Column positions can now be saved in Appointment Book. Admin Moderate Extended appointment slots within Appointment Pad were reverting to the default duration. Admin Moderate Patient Name on the palette was occasionally changing to TEMPAT when using the blue down arrow within the Appointment Book. Admin Minor The incorrect Age Range was being displayed under the Reports tab in Location Settings. Admin Minor ManageMyHealth Patient Portal icon was not changing from Yellow to Green after successful activation. 5 Medtech32 Enhancements SafeRx Module Clinical New Prescription (F10) In conjunction with Waitemata DHB, Medtech is pleased to announce the incorporation of SafeRx into this release. SafeRx is an initiative from Waitemata DHB that aims to promote the safe use of medicines in Primary Care, focusing on those medications that require extra care when prescribing, dispensing and administering. The SafeRx Bulletins, Patient Guides and other resources were developed by a pharmacist and a GP from the Waitemata DHB Quality Use of Medicines team and reviewed by secondary care specialists or, in the case of patient information, by consumers. The SafeRx logo will appear on the New Patient Medication screen for medicines with safety issues. Click on the link if you wish to view the relevant SafeRx resource. 6 Do Not Upload to MMH Classifications Setup Clinical Read If a sensitive Read classification has not been marked as Do Not Upload to MMH then this can now be applied retrospectively. When the Do Not Upload to MMH checkbox is ticked, as shown below, any patient classifications of the selected type will be removed from ManageMyHealth. Following this change, any classifications of the selected type that are added to a patient s record will not be uploaded to ManageMyHealth. Please Note: If the patient classification was already marked as Confidential then it will remain as Confidential' and will not appear on ManageMyHealth. Patient Contacts Module Clinical New Contact The Patient Contacts Details box has been increased from 64 characters to 8192 characters to allow more details to be recorded, as shown below: Copyright Medtech Limited Page 6 of 22

7 Patient Immunisation Status Report Module Immunisation Immunisation (F4) Print icon The patient s Full Name, Full Chart Number and NHI are now optionally printed on the Patient Immunisation Status Report to ensure reports are uniquely identifiable. The report header details are displayed and can be modified. Upon selection, the report reflects these details. Copyright Medtech Limited Page 7 of 22

8 Claims Preview Module Claims Preview The ability to suppress zero-valued claims has been provided via a new filter control. To remove zero-valued claims, the checkbox Include 0.00 claims must be unticked to suppress zero-valued claims. Middle Name available under Merge Symbol & Query Builder Setup Inbox/Out Box Outbox Document Document Tab Insert Tools Query Builder Patient Table A new Merge field has been introduced for Patient s Middle Name under the Patient Keyword (PAT) category called Middle Names (PAT_MIDNAME). This will enable practices to include Patient s Middle Name within Outbox Document templates and Front Page. A new Middle Name selection titled Name Middle Name has been added under the Patient Table of Query Builder. Copyright Medtech Limited Page 8 of 22

9 Log Files Tools Message Transfer Message Transfer Utility Tools Patient Patient Join The Log files for Message Transfer Utility and Patient Join are now recorded on the database. This allows multiple users to access the Message Transfer Utility or Patient Join log files at the same time. To view the logs for these two utilities, go to Help Logs menu. For example, selecting the Message Transfer option will display a list of activity for the Message Transfer Utility. Clicking on a log file will open up an Overview window showing the details. 10 Medtech32 Technical Enhancements EMPOWERING HEALTH The following section is targeted to the practice s IT Support personnel. Medtech recommends these aspects be discussed with your IT Support and third parties to identify how these changes may affect your environment. Please refer to the Medtech32 System Requirement Specification document for further information. Internet Explorer Version 11 Help System Diagnostics Configuration tab This release is compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 11 (IE11) Once IE11is installed an additional configuration in Medtech32 needs to be performed to ensure Advanced Forms work correctly This machine-specific configuration can be set within Medtech32 via the following path: Help System Diagnostics Configuration tab Please Note: Choosing the version from this screen will create entries within the Windows system registry and all the Medtech web forms will be compatible to the selected Internet Explorer version. IMPORTANT NOTE Before setting the compatibility mode, please confirm the compatibility status of third party web forms against your chosen version of IE with your respective third party form publishers [BPAC, Enigma, HealthLink, Konnect NET, Procon, etc.], as these web forms may not yet be compatible with the chosen version. BPAC has indicated that its forms are not fully compatible with IE11 compatibility mode, and is working towards a solution. Therefore, if your practice uses BPAC forms, we recommend continuing to use the current configuration until this is resolved by BPAC. Copyright Medtech Limited Page 10 of 22

11 Microsoft Office 2016 This release is compatible with Microsoft Office Version This release is compatible with 32-bit Edition of Microsoft Outlook to integrate with . IMPORTANT NOTES Before installation, please confirm the compatibility status of third party applications against Office 2016 with your respective third party vendors. Please refer to the Medtech32 System Requirement Specifications document for known limitations. Known Issue: When Medtech32 is installed on 64-bit Windows Operating System, ensure the 32-bit edition of Microsoft Office 2016 is installed. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC This release is compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. IMPORTANT NOTES Before installation, please confirm the compatibility status of third party applications against Adobe Acrobat Reader DC with your respective third party vendors. Following installation of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, ensure the following setting is disabled: launch Adobe DC application navigate to Edit Preferences (Ctrl+K) within the Security (Enhanced) setting, ensure the Enable Protected Mode at Start up is disabled (unticked) Please refer to the Medtech32 System Requirement Specifications document for known limitations. 12 Known Issue: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC must be open to allow printing of documents. Without Adobe Acrobat Reader DC open, users will get the following error message when trying to print PDF attachments: Common Error Messages Enhanced Various common error messages have been enhanced to the new error message format (friendly message with a technical resolution message) to provide greater guidance for selfresolution when they are encountered. 19 Resolved Issues The following issues have been resolved: ACC Claims Module Claims Finalise Intermittently the ACC claim number was being dropped when finalising ACC Claims and subsequently being rejected by ACC. A change has been made to ensure the ACC Claim number is not blank when the claim is finalised. Statement Run Module Accounts Statement Run Previously, it was not possible to select only 3 rd Overdue in the Account Age field. 20 Appointment Book Module Appointments Appointment Book The ability to save the position of the columns within the Appointment Books has now been resolved. To use this function the Remember Screen Positions checkbox must be ticked within Staff Setup. Appointment Pad Module Appointments Appointment Pad When an extended duration slot was created and then another appointment was added, the extended duration slot changed back to the default duration. This has now been resolved and the extended duration is not altered when adding subsequent appointments. Appointment Book Module Appointments Appointment Book Patient Name on the palette was occasionally changing to TEMPAT when using the blue down arrow within the Appointment Book. 21 Location Settings Setup Location Location Settings Reports tab The Age Range displayed in under the Reports tab in Location Settings was incorrect. This has now been resolve, as shown below: ManageMyHealth Patient Portal Icon Colour When you register a patient in Medtech32 for the Patient Portal, the ManageMyHealth icon colour changes from Orange to Yellow. Next, when the patient activates their ManageMyHealth account, the icon colour should change to Green. The issue introduced in Medtech32 v22.4 Build 5146 causes the icon colour to remain Yellow and not change from Yellow to Green after the patient has successfully activated their account. This issue is now resolved. NOTE: Practices not using the ManageMyHealth Patient Portal are not affected. Copyright Medtech Limited Page 21 of 22
