1 REPORT OF HYDROGRAPHIC AND OCEANOGRAPHIC RESEARCHES No.48 March, 2012 Working with airborne LIDAR system Tomozou ONO and Haruka SHIBATA Abstract Eight years have passed since introduction in the Japan Coast Guard of the airborne LIDAR system SHOALS. Concepts of LIDAR surveying, measurement results, etc. have been published in various papers, but practical knowledge has not been announced.
