3 Exam ExempLons You had to fill out an Exam ExempKon form, have teachers sign it, and return it to the CHS ASendance office by Monday, May 23 rd to be considered for exempkon. Just because you requested an exempkon doesn t mean you get it. ** If you failed a 9 weeks, have been suspended at all during the year, or the teacher deems it necessary for you to test you lose the exempkon privilege. Check the list that is posted on the asendance office window (5/24) to see IF your exam exempkon was approved for either asendance or grades (all A s). If you fail to asend an exam because you THOUGHT you got an exempkon, but it wasn t, (because of one of the above reasons) then you will receive an F for the exam thus lowering your final grade by 20%.

4 CHS Second Semester Exam Schedule Exams will be taken each Exam Day: 7:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. No Homeroom during Exam Days: Simply Report to the first exam you have each exam day. Lunch is from 11:20 am to 12:20 p.m. daily Each Exam Day concludes with make-up exams from 12:30-2:15 p.m. To take a Make-Up exam: You MUST have a Parent Note, Dr. s Note, or permission from Mr. Fisher. Pre-Approved Absence forms should be used if you know an absence will occur during exam week: See the ASendance Office to pick this up!

5 Make-Up Exams: 12:30-2:15 pm Students taking make-up exams are to work out a Kme with their teacher to take the exam This should be completed during the Kmes built into the exam schedule; and must use the Pre-Approved Absence Form (found in the CHS ASendance Office) in order to get Principal Approval. If an unexpected illness, or something else occurs, you should report to the CHS ASendance Office during Make-Up Exam Kmes, with a note, in an asempt to secure an excuse. Regardless of the reason, report to the ASendance Office and secure an excused absence pass before reporkng to class.

6 Release Time for Exam Days at CHS If you asend each exam, on Kme, you will be dismissed from school at 11:10 a.m. on each of the three exam days. TransportaKon is a student s responsibility. For full details on the Exam Week schedule, use your CHS Agenda Page 17.

7 Second Semester Exam Schedule: The Details Regular bus routes will run following their regular schedule. If you come to school at normal Kme yet don t have an exam you are to have a study hall in the CHS Cox Gym. If you stay at CHS waikng on a bus in the amernoon yet don t have an exam you go do the CHS Cox Gym for a Study Hall. If you come to school late due to not having an exam in the first exam Kme slot you enter through the CHS Main Gym entrance only and report to the CHS Cox Gym for Study Hall unkl the bell rings for the class change. Each exam will be roughly 105 minutes in length. There will be an open lunch on the three exam days. Lunch is from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. daily. Lunches are open: students can leave each day at 11:10 a.m.; but you may also choose to eat in the CHS cafeteria before leaving school grounds. If you choose to stay at CHS to eat you are confined to the CHS cafeteria and must stay there unll Make-Up exams begin at 12:30 pm

8 CHS Exam Schedule Grid ASendance on the date of your course s exam is required. Don t ask: we aren t making excepkons! CHS Exam Schedule Grid Fill in the grid with YOUR schedule: this will help you understand when you are taking which exams. Make sure you fill this out NOW! It will avoid confusion on when and where you should be on each exam period and day. Teachers work around the room to ensure ALL STUDENTS have completed their Exam Schedule Grid.

9 Please Note: Final Exam TesLng Dates 7:15 am Building Opens and 7:30 am the 1 st Exam of the Day begins. No Homeroom. You have a Final Exam in Every Course you take. Final Exam=20% of your Final Grade. 11:10 am: You should be done by 11:10 am each day if you just come to school on Kme every exam day and take your exams when it is scheduled. Lunch will be served in CHS Cafeteria but you have open lunch so you don t have to stay for lunch. WARNING: 2 nd Semester ends on Friday, May 27, Do NOT miss an exam!!! We will NOT give exams early, unless pre-approved by the CHS Principal (amer a valid reason is provided for the need to take the exam early).
