This enables the delivery of improved medical diagnostic imaging as well as detection of impurities, defects and threats. The IBEX Multi Absorption Plate (MAP) technology rapidly integrates into most existing detector types, and adds materials information whilst retaining the speed, signal to noise, spatial resolution and imaging area characteristics of the underlying sensors. We will make use of all of the features of the VuMaster, including the output reports, which are really useful for us to be able to prove the accuracy of the MAPs and meet the relevant ISO quality standards. Kurt Scott Accurate Measurement of Multi Absorption Plate Using the The VuMaster, IBEX is able to ensure the accurate measurement of the MAPs, which are thoroughly inspected to ensure all dimensions are consistent and within the required tolerances. 3 TESTING Sylvac SYLCOM The latest software from Sylvac. Sylcom allows a connection between most of the Sylvac instruments, either by USB or Bluetooth. The universal software can be used to display values in different modes, to upload the drawings of parts with dimensions, to show the agreed level of tolerances and to show the pass / fail readings. All of this data can be exported out to Excel for use in reports. The Sylcom Advance Package allows connection to multiple probes and instruments via the M-bus modules. We were unable to find a suitable off-the-shelf measuring system, and as we were aware of Bowers Group s reputation for the design and construction of bespoke measuring fixtures, we contacted the company with our wish-list. Not only did Bowers understand our demanding requirements, the Bowers sales engineer involved in the project was able to suggest several useful additions to the proposed system. Following the delivery of a range of Pegler part drawings to Bowers and after a couple of meetings, the design of an extremely accurate multifunctional measuring station evolved and we were happy to place an order. Push-fit components have several major benefits when compared with traditional jointing methods, they are heat free, highly flexible, demountable and they offer fast and cost effective jointing. Paul Barraclough Pegler Yorkshire Supplier Development Manager As we produce metal fittings to several different specifications for different global regions, we have programmed our SYLVAC D300s Multi-Functional Display Unit with all of the relevant data for every fitting in every category. Now when changing our machines from, for instance the production of metric fittings to imperial fittings, our quality control personnel are able to quickly recall the nominal and upper and lower limits for each measured feature, that are stored in the Bowers measuring station s Display Unit. The Bowers designed, multifunctional measuring station uses highly accurate SYLVAC transducer probes to transmit the displacement of its 4 gauging elements ID, OD, depth and a critical height datum for machining purposes - to an ingenious SYLVAC D300S digital readout unit. The captured readings are then displayed to a resolution of 1um. They carry out multi-axis machining on complex, often high value components, along with part fabrication and component assembly. Mollart works across a wide sector of industries including aerospace and defence, automotive, oil and gas, subsea, mould and die, nuclear, medical, semiconductor and telecommunications. High Precision Measurement for Hydraulic Manifolds Mollart Engineering purchased a Bowers XTL digital lever bore gauge in order to measure Inconel 718 hydraulic manifolds used at extremely high pressures of 20,000psi in the oil and gas industry. The piston bores of the Inconel manifolds have a strict size tolerance and 16 micro-inch surface finish requiring high precision measurement to adhere to strict industry tolerances. Because the manifolds are working under extreme conditions, the surface finish and exact size of the piston bores are critical for the function and service life of the components manufactured. The Bowers XTL digital lever bore gauge has enabled us to streamline our process of manufacturing Inconel hydraulic manifolds. Previous problems with the old bore comparator leaving scratches on the component has now been solved, allowing us to remove the additional job of eliminating the scratches from our process. We are now able to produce accurate bore size measurements to meet strict tolerances with regard to size and surface finish.
