6 1. Material JASNO shutters are made of White Teak. This is a firm, but light wood species with a subtle wood grain. The color of the wood is mat-silver with a silky look. White Teak is an exotic wood species, family of the well known Teak. JASNO uses White Teak derived from the Solomon Islands, where the forest is managed responsibly and sustainably. (FSC certified since 1998). The monitored drying process for the timber guarantees a long useful life for the shutter. The frames are connected via a classical mortise-and-tenon joint, maximising the glued surface for maximum rigidity. The engineered stile has multiple layers inside, made of hardwood; this imparts excellent durability to the core of the stiles and prevents it from warping. The louvers from JASNO shutters are quarter-sawn making it possible to supply panel widths of up to 1066mm, without any risk of twisting or distortion. The costly methods do however mean that JASNO shutters represent a durable investment in your home. 6

The default position for astragal stile is right over left. (Astragal stile on the right, and butt stile on the left). The center stile is used for NON hinged panels with a maximum width of 1270mm, exactly in the middle of the panel. From 914mm (with a louver size of 63mm), 1066mm (with a louver size of 89mm and 114mm) and 762mm (louver size 47mm) the center stile is obliged. 9 Divider Rail 2 Divider Rail The divider rail splits up a panel in 2 or 3 sections. The sections function separately from each other. When the panel height exceeds 1980mm 1 Divider rail is obliged, if the height from top or bottom of panel to the center of the divider rail exceeds 1980mm a 2 nd divider rail is obliged. 11 When order 2-sided frames, the frames will be the same length as the panels. When order 3-sided frame (L&R&Top) the panels will be 5mm shorter at the bottom (see drawing). 14 T-Post T-Posts divide a window vertically into sections. 15 Tilt Rod Regular tilt rod Default is placed at the center Concealed gear system (Silent View) Available for 63mm, 89mm and 114mm louvers. The gear system is concealed in the stile and covered with a wooden cover strip in the same color as the shutter. Important The concealed gear system will be split into half if the panel height is over appr. 1370mm without divider rail, or if the panel section exceeds this limit from center of divider rail to top/bottom of panel. Louverpins In order to make it possible that the louver stay in the wished position, the louver pins have resistance. In each panel there is also a screw to adjust the resistance of the louvers. Hygienilac is available in both paint and stain colors and kills most species of bacteria. Hygienilac is mixed through the last paint layer. Due to the nature of material manufacturing, colors may vary slightly between dye lots. Please order shutters for the same home at one time. Slight variations may also occur between the finished products and the color decks. 16

Please indicate this in special notes. The center stile (width = 57mm) is an extra vertical stile in the middle of a wide panel. From a width of 2450mm a bi-fold track system is advised, from 2690mm width (2740mm if the Hang Strip width = 50mm) it is obliged. 21 6. Matching When there are windows/doors with different heights close to each other, please make a remark on the order form, so divider rail can be lined with top/bottom rail. The TOP of the divider rail will be brought in line with the top of bottom rail. The height of divider rail (76mm) will never be the same as the height of the bottom rail. For this type of window/door, please indicate align item 1 and item 2 at top, and bring divider rail of item 1 in line with bottom rail of item 2. 76,2 Item 1 Item 2? 23 Buttoncatch and lock for connecting panels Installing button catches makes the end result even better. Also loose panels can be mounted vertically with button catches. Attention Loose panels which are mounted at an angle likewise (like roof windows) always need additional fixation in order to prevent the panels falling down! 31 Panel configurations for bi-fold track system 90 Possible panel configurations include: LL, RR, LLRR, LLL, RRR, LLLRRR, LLLL, RRRR, LLRRRR, LLLLRR and LLLLRRRR. In addition, the floating bi-fold system can be provided. Difference is that there is no top/bottom pivot, instead of that are wheels in top track and spring loaded guide in floor track. This makes it possible to fold and slide free in 1 track. Writes F for floating panel, use a dash when the panels need to be split. The tilt rod will be offset 7mm to the right from center of panels if multi fold. The gap is 3mm where there are two panels meet without hinges. Specification Primewood 2018 version 1 31

37 11. Open Bypass system: Louvers opened position General The louvers can be in open position if sliding the doors in the track. Boxout size and light block size will be different for 63mm louver and 89mm louver (Only available in 63mm and 89mm louver). Special Shape Shutters Possible shapes Regarding the special shaped shutters there are numerous options, we show just the most common ones: The best way to order special shapes is to make a drawing with the dimensions. 45 15. Shutters for roof window (see separate price list) For the most common roof windows as Velux and Fakro a roof window shutter can be ordered. This shutter is provided with special frame around the 4 sides which fits in perfect in the roof window. In the online order system most of the types can be ordered without taking measurements. 46 16. Gloss Level The shutters will be painted with a satin finish. 17. Frame/Track splice For frame, track (top/bottom) or plain fascia, if the length exceeds 3600mm, they will be split in two pieces. 18. Manufacture time After confirmation of the order, the shutters will be directly put into manufacturing. Adjustments after confirmation cannot be made without extra costs. Delivery time will given after confirmation of the order. 19. Package The Maximum weight per Box is 40kg. When the R-frame or hang strip deeper than 60mm has been ordered, the panels and frames / hang strips will not be pre-installed. This also applies if 3 or 4 sided frames / hang strips have been ordered. 20. Extra louvers 2 extra louvers will be supplied for each shutter. For the shutters with different panel width, will supply 2 extra louvers for each width. 46
