2 KP Set Up Operation Manual TS248&3600 KP Set Up Operation Manual 1. Brief KP is the abbreviation of KP kitchen printer, in Hospitality system need print menu information for chef view and prepare dishes, this task complete by KP, KP before using the KP, you need to set up KP parameters, KP has two kinds: 1) Serial KP 2) Network KP 2. Set Up the Serial KP 1) Power-Off the ECR and KP printer 2) Connect the ECR and KP with serial line 3) Power-On the ECR 4) Hold pressing the [Feed] key on KP printer and Power-On the KP printer, the KP printer will do the self-checking operation, after this operation the KP printer will print the information as below: Self test ESC/POS NV bit image Support Version: 1.2TCN Command mode: EPSON (ESC/POS)-S Interface: USB& Serial 19200, None, 8, 1& Ethernet (10Base/100Base) Protocols: TCP/IP (A1) Mac address: Net mask: Gate way: DHCP: Disabled Cutter: Beeper: Chinese character mode: You can find the baud rate (red characters as above picture) of the KP printer is ) Set Up the port on the ECR b) Select [411 --**Options] and Press [Enter]

3 c) Select [Parameters] and Press [Enter] d) Select [423 Port Setting] and Press [Enter], you will enter the port setting interface as below: e) Select the port which connects the KP and Set it as [KP], the baud rate set as the KP printer baud rate. Note: Which port connect KP printer, the port is the KP printer accordingly: i. Port1 KP1 ii. Port2 KP2 iii. Port3 KP3 iv. Port4 KP4 v. Port5 KP5 f) Set up the serial port KP parameters i. Switch the key to P mode ii. Select [ **Options**] and Press [Enter] iii. Select [Parameters] and Press [Enter] iv. Select [426 KP Parameters Setting] and Press [Enter], you will enter the KP parameters setting interface as below:

4 v. Select the serial port KP from the KP1~KP5 and enter the KP parameters setting interface as below: A. There are three type for selection: TM-8III/ TM-U220/ SR-275, the default type is TM-8III B. Head and Foot feed can input maximum 20, minimum 0. The Head feed is 0 under default circumstance; The Foot feed is 8 under default circumstance; C.
