14 Order guide For your interior shutters Besides our survey and installation service Easy Fit interior shutters are now available for those who prefer to install their own. All our shutters are pre-hinged with rebated edges to make installation easy. Frames which are pre-mitred allow your shutters to fit easily into the required opening. The information in this guide is useful, whichever installation you opt for, but if you have any questions our sales team will be happy to help. 1. Give the location of the window you are measuring eg. Bedroom 2. Type of shutter All our shutters are made in frames of 28.6mm x 41.3mm. 32mm 47mm Hidden tilt-rod Raised SR2 Moulded SM2 64mm 89mm 114mm Shaker SS2 Solid base SRB Louvre Adjustable louvres are available in either 32mm, 47mm, 64mm, 89mm or 114mm slats. Solid Solid shutters are available in 4 different styles. 3. Shutter style Cafe The shutters cover the bottom part of the window, giving privacy whilst permitting light to enter through the top. Tier on tier The design allows top and bottom tiers to open independently, offering a versatile shutter combination. Split can be at chosen height. Full Height This traditional design covers the window from top to bottom to create a feeling of space and privacy. A mid rail on panels over 1800mm high allows the top and bottom louvres to open independently. It is advisable for panels over 2200mm to have two mid rails. 13

15 4. Shutter position and size Shutters can be fitted to virtually any window or French/patio door. The shutters can be positioned either inside or outside the window/door recess. Frames Outside recess In the open position shutters concertina together and fold back against the face of the wall. There must be the required space on either side of the window to achieve this. All measurements are in millimetres If you choose to have an inside recess installation then we recommend the Insert L frame. This is a great inside recess option because it allows the fixing to be concealed. Our shutters are fitted with 3/4 sided frames (sides and top) leaving your sills free for use, or framing the shutter panels completely If you choose to install outside recess, you may require a more decorative frame. For example the 50.8 Camber Deco is a popular choice. A frame such as the Camber Deco is useful if you have uneven windows as the wider frontage can be utilised to square off the frame. 5. How to measure your shutters Measure width and height of the recess in 3 places as shown and record the smallest measurement. 16 6. Configuration Due to shutters being pre-hinged it is imperative that you decide how the shutters need to open when ordering. Hinges will be placed on the frame and shutters according to your configuration instructions. L L R R 4 panels 7. Fixings Hinges are available in white, pearl, bisque, antique brass, bright brass, nickel plated, stainless steel and black. 8.
