Using is Software with your computer, you can save, edit and delete your Phone Book and Short Messages (SMS) stored in your SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card. This has the added advantage of being able to backup your mobile phone numbers and SMS message to your PC, another SIM card or any removable media. If you change your mobile phone or service provider and receive a new empty SIM card, this software can be used to load the save data onto it. Editing your SIM card entries on your PC is much easier as you are able to do this using your computer s keyboard instead of your mobile phone key pad. Installation Insert Software CD into CD-ROM drive and installation start automatically. Follow the procedure and it will create SIM Recovery Pro folder in computer. SIM Recovery Pro short cut will also create in desktop. Click SIM Recovery Pro short cut to run software. Insert SIM card into USB Reader and plug into any empty USB port. ( please make sure follow the same direction as the picture print on the bottom of the USB Reader )

SIM Card Information - click to read all necessary information from sim card ICCID Pin1 State Pin2 State Unblock Pin1 State Unblock Pin2 State Maximum Phone number Maximum SMS messages LDN (Last dial number) FDN (Fixed Dial number) - Double click to edit/new/delete fixed dial number 2. Read Phonebook - click to read Sim card phonebook into computer - double click any record display Edit/Delete/New box - click Edit to start edit that record - click OK to confirm - click Delete to delete that record - click New to open a new record 3. Read SMS - click to read all sim card SMS messages into computer - user can see Read, Unread, Sent and To be Sent columns - Read is the messages already read in mobile phone - Unread is the messages not yet read - Sent is the messages sent out before - To be Sent is the messages will sent later - Double click any record to display Edit/Delete/New box - Edit to start edit that messages - Delete to delete that message - New to open a new message 4. Read Deleted SMS - click to read deleted SMS message from sim card - it will display under Deleted column - user can perform Undeleted SMS to copy back into Read column

4 Functions Continued Restore phonebook - click to write back all phonebook records into Sim card - it will overwrite all old data in Sim card and please make sure before confirm 6. Restore SMS - click to write back all SMS messages record into sim card - it will overwrite all old data in sim card and please make sure!!! 7. Write FDN - click to write FDN (fixed dial number) into sim card - it is not recommend use by normal user!!! - User will prompt to input pin2 code and please make sure input correct pin2 code before confirm - Pin2 code need to contact network provider for details 8. Undelete SMS - all deleted SMS messages under Deleted column will move to Read column - user can backup or write back to sim card 9. Permanent Delete SMS - permanently delete SMS messages use with caution as this will not be recoverable. 10. File Backup - save current display records into a file - user can open later to retrieve this file with the same file name 11. Open File - open a old file that save in computer before 12. Print - print out the current records to printer 13. Help - display function manual to user 14. Clear Screen - clear all content in display box - if there are contents in display box, it can t read again - user must click Clear Screen and then read again

Don t try if you don t know the pin code - User will prompt to input pin2 code and Please make sure correct pin2 code before confirm - Pin2 code need to contact network provider for details Un Delete SMS - all deleted SMS messages under Deleted column will move to Read column Permanent Deleted - Deleted SMS - permanent deleted the deleted SMS in Sim card - the deleted SMS in Sim card can t recover again and permanently cleared - protect user s privacy Print - print out the current records to printer - user can backup or write back to sim card File Backup - save current display records into a file

7 Save to Sim Please ensure that if you have chosen or enabled the option to save your SMS messages / Text messages and phonebook to the Sim Card. Mobile phones work in different ways depending on the handset manufacture and as new phones are being released almost every week it is not possible for LM to have a compatibility chart and therefore the we ask you to contact your handset manufacturer to ensure your mobile has the ability to store data directly to the Sim Card. Disclaimer Due to the extensive range of mobile phone handsets and the way these handsets manage SMS text messages, we can not guarantee that our product will recover data from every SIM card. However we have recovered a substantial amount of deleted text messages from all the SIM cards tested and therefore approved the product or sale. If a SIM has been locked with a SIM PIN, you will have to know the PIN Code in order for this to work. (Most users will lock their phone and NOT the SIM, so this shouldn t pose a problem). In Addition some newer phones perform a permanent delete on the SMS text messages and these will NOT be recoverable. There is no way of knowing this in advance, and is something you will have to try on a trial and error basis We would recommend contact the manufacturer and confirm if your model does or does not permanently delete SMS text messages.
