Nielsen s evip is the official Browser and Tablet Application for Nielsen s Local TV Audience Estimates for subscribing Nielsen clients Q: What are the key benefits of Nielsen evip? Nielsen evip is a fluid, customizable way to view Nielsen s Local TV Audience Estimates. Some of the key benefits are: simple, easily accessible app for PC and tablet, simplified data views, greater utility by allowing the user to specify data stream, dayparts/programs, viewing sources, demographics, and metrics and precision, with output via a branded PDF export. Q: How is it different from today s ereport evip reports? 2 DATA AVAILABILITY - ACCESS Q: What measurement periods will be available in Nielsen evip? Will Nielsen evip have historical data? Nielsen evip will begin with the June 2018 measurement. All historical data prior to the June 2018 measurement will remain available via Answers in ereports. At this time Nielsen does not plan to add historical data to Nielsen evip. Q: Will ereports evip Library still be available on Answers? ereports evip will not contain any new ViP s starting with and after the June 2018 measurement period. ereports evip will still be available for users who have access to measurement periods prior to the June 2018 measurement period. ereports evip will continue to provide PDF versions of evip s Ethnic and Special reports. Q: Can I use evip on both via browser and tablet? Yes, Nielsen evip is available on both browser (supported on Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and IE) and tablet via itunes or Google Play (note: search for Nielsen evip, and since the app is tablet specific, make sure the search is All Apps and NOT Mobile Only. The user will access via Answers login on either platform. Please note: If you ve download the evip tablet application during the evip Early Access period, please re-download the latest version to access your evip June 2018 data. Q: Is there an additional fee to access Nielsen evip via tablet? No. The Nielsen evip (both browser and tablet) comes with a subscription to evip. Q: Can I add additional users to Nielsen evip? Yes, Clients can add additional users by sending a request to their Client Services rep. REPORTING Q: What reports are available on Nielsen evip? Time Period, Time Period Trend, Reach, and Program Q: What is the difference between each of the reports? Time Period allows you to report individual Dayparts to report time period average regardless of program aired Time Period Trend allows you to compare a measurement period to the same measurement period from the previous year Reach allows you to compare an average week to a 4 week average Program allows you to either see all of the programs reported within a daypart, or an individual program. Q: Can I save my reports? Yes. In order to save a report, click the Save button. You are able to save the report with a unique name and determine if you d like that shared report to be private or shared. Q: How do I create a new report? There are a few ways to create a new report. If this is your first time logging into the Nielsen evip, you will simply select the Get Started button which will direct you to a new report. If it is not your first time logging into the Nielsen evip, you will select the New Report button in the top right corner of your Report Manager screen. If you are currently in a report and want to create a new report, you will select the New button in the top right corner of your screen. Q: How do I access Nielsen evip via the tablet? Do I use my existing Answers ID or are different credentials needed? Go to either the Google Play or the Apple App Store Search for Nielsen evip, Nielsen, or evip Select the Get button Select Install to download the app onto your Tablet Open the app and enter in your answers.nielsen.com username and password You will be directed to the Report Manager where a welcome window will pop up, please select Get Started. You can now begin to create new reports, and see future saved reports. 2

3 Q: Can I share my reports? Yes. In order to share a report, when saving a report, click the Shared option. This will share the report with anyone in your same Business Entity ID. Q: Will I be able to re-create a current evip book in the new Nielsen evip? Nielsen evip is not a 1:1 rewrite of the evip Book, but is a tool that provides greater flexibility and utility to answer unique questions by specifying the Report Type, Dayparts, Viewing Sources, and Demographics. To ensure users can quickly download their reports, maximum numbers of Dayparts, Programs, and Demographics have been put in place and are noted on each screen. Q: Am I able to create a PDF? Yes, user controls PDF content based on report selections, and can choose to to their address on record. Q: When running Trend reports for RPD+ markets, what report month will be used to trend diary markets for the first year? Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer Q: Can I use Nielsen evip on an ipad and / or Android? Yes. You can use the Nielsen evip on both an ipad and an Android tablet. Operating Systems supported are ios 11+ and Android 7+. It is not recommended for use on a tablet smaller than ipad Air 2. Q: Is there an Nielsen evip for your smartphone? No. The Nielsen evip application is available as a tablet application or thru browser via Answers. OTHER Q: Will Nielsen continue to enhance Nielsen evip? Yes, Nielsen will continue to review client input and enhance Nielsen evip. Q: Why does my evip Reach report look different than my NLTV Reach report? For evip, the Reach report uses standard unification rules, where in NLTV, the Reach report uses custom unification rules. The numbers will end up being close, but slightly different. Q: When running a Program report, what does Trackage mean? Trackage displays the trackage name of the program. The trackage name is a unique identifier given by the client to track each telecast. For instance, the trackage name helps you differentiate the program BBT that aired on viewing source AA at 10:00 a.m. and the same program that was telecast again at 12:00 p.m. Note: Trackage is an optional field and only appears for the programs that aired on Cable networks. 3
