I invite you to join us the Mitch Stripp, President evening of Monday April 23rd for our semi-annual Meet IMSA B.C. Section and Greet at the Pint 405 Pub attached to the hotel. The Meet and Greet continues to be an excellent venue to socialize and network in a casual environment with Let s Get Social colleagues from across British Columbia. There will be something for everyone who works in our industry including two streams of technical sessions with opportunities to earn TARP points which are required to keep your certifications up to date. The spring session is also host to our Annual General Meeting and as the Section President for the last number of years, I would like to thank my IMSA colleagues, an exceptional group of volunteers who spend countless hours ensuring that the B.C. 4 IMSA International Updates In case you have not had the opportunity to visit the new IMSA International s website at you should be aware that it has undergone a significant facelift. The even better news, is that the new website is part of the long awaited Association Management System that is intended to streamline interactions with the International Office. There are now features where Members can obtain their IMSA ID Number, initiate an Online Profile (private) that will allow members to access the Member Only areas without having to sign in with a second Username and Password like the old system. Additionally, Members can pay their Memberships, update their Contact Information and review their Membership Information, Continuing Education History (Used to be TARP Report), Certifications and Certification Renewal Status. There is a new area, similar to the old IMSA forums that is a general networking area. The following is a paraphrased excerpt from International correspondence: For all members, the new Communities and Forums area allows groups of individuals with common interests to exchange ideas and solutions and is intended to foster positive networking. They are a great place to start a conversation relative to your interests and see what others in the industry are doing as well. Access to Communities and Forums can be found under the Resources tab or on any page that has this image. The following link will get you going: As of August 1, 2018, the Traffic Signal Inspector Level 1 Certification Program has added the Traffic Signals Level 1 Certification as a pre-requisite.
