42 Best practice recommendations prior to start of upgrade Take a count of registered phones before the start of the upgrade and compare after the upgrade Upgrade the phone firmware prior to the CUCM upgrade to save time. Open the firewall ports for CUCM 9.X that have changed Check for a full DRS backup success Perform standard tests before the start of the upgrade 2011 Cisco and/or its affiliates. 43 Best practice recommendations prior to start of upgrade Contd Install the Refresh Upgrade (RU) cop file on the server before the start of the upgrade. Provide Knowledge Transfer to Operations Staff on the changed behavior. Deactivate Extension Mobility Service.
