3 APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) CSCP Learning System Components: The CSCP Learning System is a comprehensive professional development program that will help candidates prepare for the CSCP examination. The learning system is based on the CSCP body of knowledge and features print- based study modules as well as online tools, including an assessment component that enhances the learning experience. The detailed review of their materials allowed me to pass each exam at the first attempt. Class discussion and the real life examples of the concepts helped my understanding enormously. I subsequently took the CSCP classes and just passed that exam last week. The bi-weekly classes were key to my success. I feel well prepared to handle the challenges of the fast paced Supply Chain environment! 4 CPIM Accelerated Courses Again this year we will be offering a chance to sign up for the CPIM certification courses at one time and be assured that the classes would not be canceled. The program will consist of both Part 1 and Part 2 of the CPIM Program unless you have already started taking a course, in which case your fees will be adjusted. One price will include both course fees and exam credits, online learning component and all participant workbooks $3000 for APICS Members and $3300 for Non-Members (including Membership) Payment for all courses is due before the start of the first course. Minimum of 12 students must enroll. Classes will not be canceled (even if some students drop out), since they are scheduled and paid for by the whole class in the beginning. Accelerated classes at Hunter Douglas, Broomfield, CO will be held on Saturdays for 8 hours 8 am until 5 pm (1 hour lunch) Part 2 (SMR/MRP/DSP/ECO) March June 2018 If you have interest in this program, you can contact Roger Harris, VP of Education (303) or rharris@msstech.com I have to be honest with you that I had some reservations in the beginning what I would get out of this sort of class and what I would take away. I had no idea the overall impact that this class would have on me and my job and how I would be able to apply so much each and every day to my company. I really have never taken a class like this let alone enjoyed getting up on Saturdays at 5:30 am for 10 weeks. I was excited to get to class and learn the material to help advance my knowledge, not only for my job but for me personally as well. It was an amazing journey that has already impacted my company. I have created my own MRP system that has helped me lower our inventory dollars on hand since the end of March from nearly $900K down just under $700K because I have much better control of what is coming in and what is going out and how long it will last us. I have our inventory turns down as well since I am able to closely monitor our inventory usage on a monthly basis, as well as the last three months average better in my MRP system. There are only a few people that knew I was taking the class and those who didn t know I was taking it, like my boss, still don t quite understand how or why I am able to continue to drop the inventory dollars in the warehouse and have still not run us out of a single item since beginning this endeavor. This class was my introduction to this discipline. The instructors were knowledgeable, helpful and dedicated in getting the subject matter across not just to pass an exam but on how to use this information to improve a business. Even though this is the first of its kind class in Colorado and was also pretty much my introduction to Logistics, Distribution and Transportation it provided me the knowledge and insight to pass the certification exam on my first try. As a young professional looking for a way to further my career and knowledge of Supply Chain, I found these classes from the local APICS Colorado Chapter. The instructors are very experienced in the supply chain industry and teach in a way that makes the material easy to understand and fun to learn.
