57 57 NFV Summary NFV provides virtualization, orchestration, scaling, automation, hardware independence etc.. NFV and SDN are complementary and independent frameworks. NFV doesn t mandate control plane and Data plane separation and hence OpenFlow is not mandated in NFV. Lot of Network function has been demonstrated by carriers already.
