2 OPTRONICS COPPER Who we are Optronics is a brand of fibre optic and copper networking products, for use in local and wide area networking and telecommunications applications. In 1994, FibreFab acquired Optronics, a company with over 20 years previous experience in the fibre optic manufacturing industry. The Optronics range includes patchcords, pigtails (multimode and singlemode), patch panels, wall and splice boxes (unloaded and customised), and a full range of accessories. 5 OPTRONICS copper Warranty Programme The OptronicsPLUS 25 year network warranty programme applies to qualified cabling installations and provides assurance to the end-user of the installation. Qualified Cabling Installation This 25 year product warranty applies to qualified cabling installations where all links are installed using OptronicsPLUS product only; this includes cables, jacks, patch panels and other components. The installation must have been designed and installed by an OptronicsPLUS approved installer. Approved Installer An approved OptronicsPLUS installer is someone that has been extensively trained and successfully passed a structured cabling course showing they have a full understanding of cable installation theory and practice. OptronicsPLUS, unlike many of your competitors, do not demand that an installer undergo unnecessary training if they can prove that they are already fully qualified. Please speak to your local OptronicsPLUS distribution partner to request more details. Warranty Coverage The OptronicsPLUS Network warranty covers the replacement of cables and components used in a qualified installation for 25 years. Warranty Limitations The warranty only covers an installation that has been defined in the documents submitted by the installer. Any extensions or modifications to the installation will invalidate the warranty unless performed by an approved installer using only Optronics components. The warranty does not cover any failure of an installation resulting from actions or events outside of the control of Optronics Ltd. Warranty Application To apply for the 25 year network warranty the approved installer, on behalf of the end-user, needs to submit documentation which shows the installation design, bill of materials and their approved installer certification. Test results of the installation must be submitted to Optronics Ltd for inspection. If the information provided is found to be acceptable a warranty will be issued.
