Other company s aim is to produce composite insulators and ceramic components. The certification of the products in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 is periodically renovated. The recommended use is in touch safe places avoiding direct touch with e.g. positioning or barrier. SPB devices are offered in three basic versions depending on the way of their mounting: - to the plain busbars in the switchboards wih fan type washer and nut - to the bare AIFe cable with stainless cleat and nut - to the insulated power lines with insulated piercing connector A35 (see pg. 3) Failure indication Disconnection of the internal disconnector due to the failure of the varistor is signalized by detaching of the red lid on the bottom of the housing. The operating part is composed by series of varistors with continuous operating voltage U C. The outer housing is made of silicone rubber insulation (grey color) with high resistance to surface leakage current effects and electric circuit. This housing material is also rainproof with high resistance to climatic influences, pollution and ultraviolet radiation. 5 Indoor Surge Arresters for High Voltage AC Power Supply Systems PSPI */10 PSPI Surge arresters for protection of indoor appliances in high voltage transmission AC networks, transformers, switching equipment, high voltage cable distribution, and especially cable boxes of high voltage encapsulated distribution stations against lightning current and switching overvoltages. The operating part is composed by series of varistors with continuous operating voltage U C. 6 Surge Arresters for DC Power Supply Systems Surge Arresters for DC Power Supply Systems PSP */10/III PSPI */10/III PSP /III, PSPI /III Surge arresters in accordance with EN for protection of converter stations and related DC traction power supply systems against lightning current and switching overvoltages. They are intended for the protection of traction mains and equipment of trolleys, trams and electric locomotives. They do not require any maintainance while operating. The PSP /III range is designed for outdoor usage and the PSPI /III range for indoor usage. The operating part is composed by series of varistors with continuous operating voltage U C. The outer insulation housing is made of silicone rubber (grey color) with high resistance to surface leakage current effects and electric arc. This housing material is also rainproof with high resistance to climatic influences, pollution and ultraviolet radiation. 7 Composite insulator with optical fiber KI 110 KI 110 Very high voltage composite insulator with optical fiber is designed for measured data transmission of balance protection of condenser battery. The frame is constructed of glass-fiber reinforced rod with high mechanical consistence and with excellent insulating properties. The insulated housing is made of silicone rubber with high resistance to surface leakage currents effects and electric arc. This housing material is also rainproof with high resistance to climatic influences, pollution and ultraviolet radiation. The signals are transmited by plastic optical fiber fitted on the support rod and covered by the rubber housing. The optical signal output comes out of the mounting center. 8 Ceramic components The ceramic components are generally made of corundum material, alternatively of other special materials for different applications.
