All three models assemble in the same fashion. The Single User/Single Screen, 36" Chassis will be used for the assembly instructions. 4 1 Remove Front and Rear Panels, Set Power Cord Aside 1.1 Remove the Front and Rear Panels from the Chassis (A) by turning the Panel Locks a quarter turn towards the center of the panel (inward), then pivot the panels forward to remove. Rear Panel Panel Lock If you have Locking Panels, unlock using the included key eep the protective tape around panels and on frame until assembly is complete to protect finish. A 1.1 Front Panel Removable Panel Protective tape Locking Panel Attach Top Brackets B Attach the Left Top Bracket (B) and Right Top Bracket (C) to Chassis (A) with the four 5/16"-18 Locknuts (D). Threaded studs on the brackets insert through holes in the Chassis and are held in place with the Locknuts. 5 4 Flip Chassis Upside Down Onto Worksurface 4.1 Place the Worksurface and Monitor Bay Lid upside down on the floor and slide the Monitor Bay Lid into the cutout in the Worksurface. Monitor Bay inge 4.2 Flip the Chassis assembly upside-down onto the bottom of Worksurface 4.2 Use at least two people to flip over and position the Chassis Align Chassis assembly so holes in Top Brackets line up with pre-drilled holes in Worksurface and holes in Monitor Bay inges line up with predrilled holes in Monitor Bay Lid. Monitor Bay Lid 4.1 Worksurface 5 Mount Chassis Assembly to Worksurface & Monitor Bay Lid 5.1 With Chassis Assembly correctly positioned on Worksurface, attach Chassis Assembly to Worksurface with eight #10-¾" Phillips ead Screws (), four screws per Top Bracket (B & C). 5.2 Note: Chassis models over 48" have a Center Support which requires two #10-¾" Phillips ead Screws () into the Center Support. 5.3 Attach Monitor Bay Lid to both Monitor Lid inges with two #10- ¾" Phillips ead Screws () per hinge at the forward location. You will finish installing the hinges in Step 9.2 when workcenter is right side up and you can more easily access the two other hinge screw holes. 6 6 Attach Feet and Glides 6.2 L J 6.1 Attach Left Foot (I) and Right Foot (J) from the inside, bottom of Chassis using four ⅜-16 1¼" Flat ead Socket Cap Screws (). Note that the Left Foot will be on the right and vice versa with the Chassis is upside down. I Screw in the four Glides (L) into the feet approximately half way. You will level the Workcenter once it has been flipped right side up. 6.1 ardware at actual size 7 ⅜-16 x 1" Flange ead Cap Screw Route & Attach Switch Power Cord taped here 7.1 Detach the Switch taped to side of Chassis and route the Control Switch around the frame and to the front of the Worksurface as shown. 7.2 Attach Switch at the pre-drilled holes at the front of the worksurface with #8 7/8" Phillips ead Screws (M). Switch taped here ardware at actual size M #8 ⅞" Phillips Pan ead Screws 7.1 Behind frame M Attach four P-Loops (N) to Desktop at predrilled locations, making sure to wrap Cable Loop around cable prior to attaching using the #8 ⅝" Phillips ead Screws (O). ardware at actual size O #8 ⅝" Phillips Pan ead Screws Fasten front to back, picking up slack 4 O 3 Note: Fasten P-Loops from the Switch (front) to back, keeping cable tight against the bottom of the worksurface. 7 8 Flip Workcenter Over & Plug In 8.1 Flip over the assembled Workcenter with at least two people. Note: Flip onto the SIDE or BAC of the Workcenter so you do not damage the control! 8.2 Detach the Power Cord taped to back of Chassis and temporarily route the cord from the Power Supply and plug into power. Flip onto SIDE or BAC so you do not damage the control! 8.3 Note the location of your Optional Battery Backup: Caution: Do not install batteries until all electronics are installed and you are connected to a "constant on" power circuit or you will drain the batteries! By Installing two 9 V batteries (not included) in this location you will have enough power for two to three emergency closures if power goes out. Wait until your entire configuration is powered in Step 19 to install Power Supply Battery Backup Complete Monitor Bay Lid Attachment 9.1 Press and hold the switch button to raise the Monitor Lift, opening the Monitor Bay Lid as it rises. Raise to highest position and release the button. 9.2 Finish attaching Monitor Bay Lid to both Monitor Lid inges with two remaining #10-¾" Phillips ead Screws () per hinge. ardware at actual size #10-¾" Phillips Pan ead Screws 9.2 Previously installed in Step 5.3 Monitor Lift Press IN FRONT to lower Note: Monitor Bay Lid will have approximately.2" of clearance around the cutout in the Worksurface when properly installed. You may need to loosen the inge Screws to adjust and re-tighten. Use the Carpenters Square (T-Square) to assure the Monitor Bay Lid is aligned and square along the back side of the Worksurface. 9.1 Press BEIND to raise Button Side View IMPORTANT: You will want to test the Monitor Arm travel to confirm Monitor Bay Lid function properly and anticipate cabling around the monitor lift before proceeding to power and technology installation. 10 Install Power Distribution Options for Your Configuration With the Workcenter built, you will now need to add your power options for your specific configuration. Follow the instructions that came with the Power System Options to complete your configuration. If you did not purchase the Power Track or Power Bar, skip to Step of 10 Line of Sight (800) los.workriteergo.com

8 11 Install Quick Release Monitor Adaptor(s) Note: You will need to mount the monitors in order to determine the correct installation height. Remove the monitor from the factory mount, if necessary, and retain the screws that came with the monitor Attach Quick Release Monitor Adaptor (R) to the back of your VESA compatible Monitor. Note: Use the screws (and spacers) that best fasten your monitor to the Adaptor. These may be the original monitor screws, or one of the three lengths included with the Quick Release Adaptor hardware kit. Many monitors (Dell) have a recessed mount where the spacers will be required. Note: You can install the monitor directly on the Monitor Lift VESA plate and NOT use the Quick Release Adaptor if security is an issue. This makes it more difficult (but not impossible) to remove the monitors quickly If you are building a dual monitor configuration, use the Quick Release Adaptor from the Dual Monitor Adaptor X it for the second monitor R Quick Release from Dual Monitor Adaptor it for dual monitor configurations 12 Set Monitor eight 12.1 Measure and note the distance from the top of the Quick Release Adaptor to the to of the monitor ("X") Remove the Monitor Lift VESA Plate by removing the two flathead screws with the 4 mm Allen wrench..25" 12.3 Reposition so that when installed, the monitor is at least.25" below X the Monitor Lift top Monitor Lift 12.4 X +.25" = installation height..25" 12.5 Dual Monitor Configuration: Attach the Dual Monitor Adaptor to the Monitor Lift Vesa Plate with the included hardware. Installed 12.6 Reattach using the two flathead screws with the 4 mm Allen wrench. 9 14 Install Optional Accessories for Your Configuration With the monitors and power components installed, you will now need to add your optional accessories like Worksurface Grommets, Remote Controls and CPU olders. Follow the instructions with the Optional Accessories to complete this step. 15 Install Technology for Your Configuration With all Line of Sight components installed, you will now need to install all the technology components to complete your system. Install all computers, peripherals like keyboards and mice, and network cabling to complete your installation according to the manufacturers specifications and your specific application. 16 Manage Cabling With monitors and technology installed, you'll want to start considering all the cabling requirements. P Q Note: It is critical that no wires interfere with the travel of the Monitor Lift. Use Cable Clips (P) for single wires (mouse & keyboard) and Cable Ties (Q) for multiple wires to fasten all cabling securely out of the way of all moving Monitor Lift components. Use the Wire Loom (S) to manage all user cables routing from the keyboard tray to the CPU. This may include keyboard, mouse, monitor and data cables. To CPU S eyboard tray cable access Inside Chassis Monitor Lift 17 Remove Protective Tape & Replace Front and Rear Panels 17.1 Remove the protective tape on the Panels and Chassis 17.1 Remove 17.2 Reattach your front and rear panels. You now have a complete Workcenter. Finish building all Workcenters before proceeding to final room assembly Remove Front & Rear Panels Chassis 18 Assemble Final Room Configuration & Connect to Power Source With all individual Workcenter Built and electrical installed, arrange Workcenters according to your final room configuration. You will need at least two people to move a Workcenter. Adjust the Glides (L) on the bottom of the Feet to assure each Workcenter is level and stable in its final location. Note: It is critical that you follow all warnings and cautions when you get to final assembly. Consult the instructions that came with your electrical components and follow all cautions and warnings carefully! Configurations with shared power must conform to code and include use of Ganging Brackets for Side to Side configurations or Back to Back Filler Plates for Back to Back configurations. 10 19 Install Batteries in Power Supply for Battery Backup (optional) With all technology installed, cables routed and fastened and the system connected to constant power, add two 9 V batteries to the Power Supply for Battery Backup. In the event of a power outage, the battery backup will allow 2 3 emergency closures to stow the technology. See Step 8.3 for backup battery installation location. Important: The Power Supply MUST be plugged into a "constant on" power circuit or the batteries will discharge! Replace batteries once a year. Cleaning Instructions Laminate Worksurfaces: For everyday cleaning, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or sponge. Use a spray cleaning agent sparingly if necessary (suggested spray cleaning agents are indicated below). Do not pour water directly onto the worksurface. Wipe completely dry with a soft rag using a straight line motion. Worksurfaces may need occasional dusting. To keep the surface in ideal condition, use a non-oily furniture spray. Difficult stains such as coffee can be removed using a mild cleaning detergent and a soft bristled (non-metallic) brush. Do not scrub surfaces with too much force, otherwise the surface could lose its finish. Stubborn stains that resist any of the above cleaning methods may require the use of undiluted household bleach. Apply a very small amount of bleach (approximately ¼-capful) to the stain and let stand no longer than two minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and wipe dry. WARNING: Prolonged exposure of the laminate surface with bleach will cause discoloration. Ensure to always rinse laminate surfaces after cleaning. Even a small amount of cleaning residue can result in permanent discolorations. Recommended Laminate Worksurface cleaning agents: Non-abrasive spray cleaning agents: Dawn, Fantastik, Windex, Lysol Furniture spray: Pledge Stain removers: Lestoil, Clorox Painted steel parts: Clean surfaces regularly with damp cloth If necessary, use a spray cleaning agent (e.g. Fantastik) sparingly. Wipe completely dry with a soft rag using a straight line motion. Lightly brush both vertical and horizontal surfaces to prevent dust build-up Polished chrome feet: The feet can be polished when they become dull with Aluminum polish (e.g. Flitz or Mothers Mag Polish) with special attention to keep polish from painted surfaces.
