7 METRO s role Responsible for the coordination of transportation (special needs) to the centers of embarkation George R. Brown Convention Center This effort will include METRO buses, METROLift, Yellow Cab, Super Shuttle, and other private carriers METRO and 311 METRO personnel assigned to Houston s 311 center, along with transportation assets The staff uses 211/311 information to dispatch assets 7

8 May 2015, METRO Board authorized contract for pre and post disaster professional administrative and management services with Hagerty Consulting. Under this contract Hagerty has already assisted in: FEMA recovery from May 2015 flood FEMA Disaster Grant Management Requests, Submittals & Awards Internal assessments to develop a strategic plan for disaster-related expense reimbursement 8

10 Regional coordination workshop held Saturday, May 21 at the GRB Convention Center The largest of its kind in the nation with more than 2,500 attendees each year METRO employees from various departments will participate in the workshop Prepares residents before hurricane season through presentations, interactive exhibits, hurricane season forecasting and more 10

11 The Customer & Ridership Services team: pushes advanced warning service notifications, released by the Press Office, to RideSponsor corporate contacts encourages RideSponsor participants and corporate contacts to sign up for METRO Alerts via our various media platforms is working with RideSponsor corporate contacts to identify and compile a database of appropriate contacts for emergency real-time notifications Dear METRO RideSponsors: In light of the recent flooding in the area, METRO wants to make sure you stay up-to-date on what s going on at METRO. 12 The social media team pushes out real-time service alerts from TranStar onto various social media platforms, s and text messages. 12

13 On the website, we will post a hurricane graphic on the homepage which links to a news release or a Web page informing readers about the latest interruptions on the rail and bus routes. Subscribers to the METRO Emergency Alerts are notified of any emergency service interruptions via GovDelivery and receive either a text or . 13
