Firewall Synchronization Project Andrew Tran worked with Anthony Johnson from M&S Technologies to verify the objects, groups, and services matched on the edge firewalls at both Datacenter 3 and Datacenter 4. The DMZ policies were copied across the two data centers. However, before CFISD continues to manipulate the DMZ, a final DMZ design will need to be completed. Several changes will need to occur before the firewall project is complete. Enterprise Communications Network Posted by: Andrew Tran, Senior Network Analyst

Support Services On Wednesday, May 3, 2017, CFISD Technology and Layer3 Communications hosted a meeting with CFISD Transportation and their potential vendor of choice for bus surveillance, AngelTrax. Bill Powell, Matt Morgan, and Ibrahim Ashrawi from Transportation, along with Brad Barnes from AngelTrax, spoke about the department s needs and the technical requirements of the software. Richard Heffelfinger and Rick Baxter from HPe, the Enterprise Communication Network and the Device Imaging and Integration teams were all present to support the Transportation Department.
Posted by Janette Martinez, Network Infrastructure Support Planning for Wireless Deployment at Transportation Centers The AngelTrax software provides digital surveillance solutions for CFISD transportation buses. The purpose of the meeting was to understand the needs of the transportation team and how our current networking/wireless infrastructure can accommodate their requirements to upload and control the bus video files.
Bane Elementary School Construction Update Enterprise Communication Network Posted by Michael Raspet, Network Analyst/NIC Michael Raspet and Anna Senties met with Micah Hawkins Project Manager and Miguel Tamez Project Coordinator, Principal Carrie Marz, Ed. D., Leonard Chance and Ashley Katzenberg from AAS, and Rommie Lavergne the General Contractor at Bane Elementary school to discuss the removal of technology equipment at the end of the school year. After the last day of student instruction, wireless access points and network electronics will be removed for the demolition and renovation of the current classrooms.
Posted by: Michael Raspet, Network Analyst/NIC Dean Middle School Construction update Michael Raspet continues to coordinate technology components as Dean MS construction progresses toward completion. As part of the renovation of the school, conduit was installed under the foundation which extends into the utility easement. At the end of the school year, PS/Lighwave will relocate the aerial fiber that is currently hanging on utility poles over the new construction into the underground conduit. This will hopefully eliminate an accidental over height truck from pulling the fiber off of the pole disrupting network connectivity.

Posted by: Roland Padilla Telecommunications Analyst Enterprise Communications Network Operational Highlights Due to a shortage of ISC office space, the offices needed for summer school coordination needed to be relocated. The offices were moved to a portable at Bleyl MS. Pictured above is the newly created environment. Roland Padilla was able to establish phone connectivity to support the office relocation.
Posted by: Roland Padilla Telecommunications Analyst Enterprise Communications Network Operational Highlights It is a simple matter to establish network connectivity and accommodate any need to conduct business. However, in the past, it has not been as simple to move telephone service from one location to another. With the new telephone deployment there are ways of having service transferred to another location within a very short amount of time.
