It s a platform built for managing big data, enabling organizations to seamlessly share and sync information between accounts, apps, and other databases. What makes NationBuilder unique? 2 Private and Secure You own your data and any enhancements to it Each NationBuilder database is separate from every other database and all access through the control panel is fully encrypted. Customers can add unlimited control panel users and customize permission sets for those users accordingly. CSV CSV Import and export any time NationBuilder can export people data in CSV to programs like Excel and Google Docs. You can also import information such as donation history and voter records using the same method. In addition, if you need to update a piece of data regularly, such as donations from another software product, you can match your data headers with NationBuilder and it will automatically save that field mapping for quick reuse on future imports. Use the CSV tool for free data transfer with other sources of data such as lists or newly-registered voters. Dynamic Unique IDs and Custom Fields NationBuilder supports data from all political parties and vendors with custom fields and deduping tools. Enterprise customers can create up to 100 custom data fields per nation for a uniform data structure that s easy to share with affiliates (subnations).

3 NationBuilder Match NationBuilder automatically enhances your lists with social media information from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We can also provide premium voter data through our partners and Platform applications. Shared lists and filters Sharing allows you to save lists and filters and syndicate them to other NationBuilder customers of your choice as a one-time or daily recurring export. Once the receiving organization authorizes the share they can add tags to the incoming people records. Shared information about people includes things like addresses, phone numbers and s, unique IDs, and occupational and party information. A state party can automatically share select IDs with endorsed candidates. Subnations NationBuilder s subnation add-on is suitable for national and international nonprofits with active chapters, political committees and parties, religious groups, service organizations, labor internationals and more. Basic people data, including addresses, flows up from subnations to the parent organization on a daily basis for use in communication and fundraising efforts.

4 Flexible Database size NationBuilder is equipped to handle databases with millions of records. Even the largest campaigns will find substantial savings compared to the costs of piecing together the tools needed to run a political organization. Open APIs Developers can set up free NationBuilder accounts to create applications that they can also share with NationBuilder customers using OAuth2. Our APIs use REST, which supports networked applications using simple HTTP commands. The APIs transfer data between machines in JSON. Our REST APIs support real-time requests and updates for attributes of the people in your database, requesting and creating lists of people, creating surveys and marking the results on your supporter profiles, and updating records of touches with the people you're organizing. You can also use the API to load CSV files to your NationBuilder accounts. Up to 10 API calls per second are available to all NationBuilder apps. NationBuilder APIs can accept ID and contact updates from third-party field and phone apps and our Apps directory includes many plug-and-play solutions already integrated with our Platform.

5 Webhooks NationBuilder provides a webhooks API that posts an information payload in JSON to a third-party URL whenever a specified event occurs. These updates can help keep a third-party database in sync with key activities occurring within NationBuilder. Our webhooks cover changes to basic information about a person or creation of a new person, new donations, and contacts with a person in your database. Webhooks can be set up from within the NationBuilder control panel or through the REST API. Webhooks are optimized for volume and are the best solution for syncing activities within NationBuilder to your external databases. Custom data services NationBuilder's data team provides paid custom services for updating and syncing your data, including cleaning and merging data sets, and making regular updates from custom data.
