2 The digital job jacket for a perfect advertising workflow Customers The ProcSet Workflow Solution is an innovative software system for the publishing industry. The entire process for producing advertisements is reduced to just a few manual steps and includes everything from the receipt of data to the review and handling of artwork along with the production-secure transmission of files to pagination. It links all the participants involved in advertisement production without any media interruptions thanks to perfect logistics and ensures an ideally integrated workflow. Advertising sales representative The ProcSet Workflow Solution lets you streamline the organisation of work and ideally link all participants in the advertisement production process: Customers Agency or end customers can communicate with the publisher via the advertising portal, upload order-related artwork and correction proofs. Typesetting For internal and external typesetting service providers, the digital job jacket is the ideal production environment with its integrated logo and sample administration as well as the direct inclusion of design tools. 3 The customer communicates with the publisher via the web portal The customer and/or agency have already finished the design of the artwork. He or she signs on in the web portal and finds already input jobs and new jobs in his or her customer area. Overview of the customer jobs in the web portal He or she selects the job related to his or her artwork and uploads the file. In the ProcSet system, there is now an automatic link to the job. After the integrated preflight check, the test report is copied together with the soft proof to the customer area of the web portal. By using a fax server, he or she can also work with here. The sales representative enters the job. 5 The sales representative saves time through the automated correction workflow Independently of the job features, the sending of the correction proof is automatically triggered after creation. The sales representative receives an with a PDF correction form from the ProcSet system. By clicking on the form s send button, the PDF is sent to the ProcSet system and the results are displayed in the job jacket below the artwork. 6 Sales representative s customer list in the web portal The web portal helps the sales representative generate external sales The sales representative communicates with the customer outside the publishing house. By accessing the web portal, he or she can use already input artwork or sample templates to make the customer recommendations for the design of the advertisement. He enters the order on site with the aid of a PDF form. Together with the advertisement components already supplied by the customer, he or she sends the form through the portal. In the publishing house, these jobs are displayed in a special list within the ProcSet system and the final booking is made. 7 The typesetting is integrated through the digital job jacket All the components and templates required for the design are located in the digital job jacket, which is filled by the advertising sales representative and released for typesetting. The typesetter selects a jacket for processing from the order list. Job list for typesetting team He has convenient access to the internal administration of logos in order to assign logos to the jacket or enter newly delivered logos. Integrated logo administration The editor opens with a click on the design button in the jacket. If the editor involves InDesign, all the typesetting components are arranged in a library for convenient access. A PDF or EPS is transferred to the system via a plug-in after completion of the artwork. Finally, independently of the job features, the sending of corrections or approval is triggered automatically. 8 Gallery view for the prepress team The prepress resolves problematic cases in a few manual steps All artwork that the integrated preflight checker identifies as erroneous or technically challenging is automatically assigned to the prepress team. The prepress employee uses the job list to select the artwork for processing. The template is then processed by internal means. Typically, colour spaces are changed, sizes are adjusted, artwork cropping is completed and image resolutions are altered.
