4 What s new in Viz Libero 5.5 Now that LiberoVision is fully acquired by Vizrt, the former Libero Highlight has been rebranded to Viz Libero. The new Viz Libero 5.5 release does not only provides a tighter integration with Vizrt, but also introduces many novelties and improved workflows. The update to Viz Libero 5.5 offers ground-breaking new features such as the novel Virtual Slow Motion, various new sports, a file-based workflow, a production integration with Grass Valley, or the visual timeline editor for smoother operating. A preview video with some of the features below can be seen on the Vizrt website. Virtual slow motion The Virtual SloMo allows to synthesize high-speed camera footage from any standard camera feed. It is a highly attractive and competitive alternative to super slow motion cameras. Viz Libero s advanced image-based algorithm creates fascinating Ultra SloMo footage (comparable to approximately 1500 frames per second) of deciding game plays without any infrastructure at the stadium. This does not only mean reduced investment costs for SloMo effects, but also the flexibility to apply it on any available camera feed from the event. New Sports: Motorsports, Tennis, Cricket, and more Vizrt grew rapidly in sports over the last year. By complementing the sports portfolio of Viz Libero with Motorsports, Tennis, Cricket, Field Hockey, Rugby League and Australian Football by the release of Viz Libero 5.5, the company has managed to double the number of available sports from 7 to 14 within less than one year. And as usual with Viz Libero, you can expect more new sports to come in the future. All available sports can be seen on the Viz Libero product page. Contact your sales representative to get access to the latest Formula 1, Tennis or Cricket clips, which went on air during the last months. File-based workflows Viz Libero offers file-based workflows through ingest from and rendering into video files. Optimize your production workflow by importing/exporting any highlight clips from and to any file location. Supported output formats of Viz Libero 5.5 include Apple RLE/MOV, DNxHD/MOV, and DVC Pro/MXF. Copyright Vizrt, 2013 Page 4/6

5 Integration with Vizrt platform With the release of Viz Libero 5.5 and Viz Engine 3.6, the integration between Viz Libero and other solutions of the Vizrt product family has been significantly improved. Novel solutions include: Completely customized graphics from your design department by rendering through a Viz Engine. Interactive analysis scenes on big touch screens. Inserting virtual presenters into the analysis clips (see screenshot). Grass Valley K2 Summit / Dyno Integration Viz Libero 5.5 is now integrated with Grass Valley s K2 Summit media server and K2 Dyno replay system based production workflows. The integration of the two systems allows generating the 3D analysis clips both in remote and studio productions, even if only a multilateral feed is available from an event. Visual editor timeline The visual editor timeline is a great addition to Viz Libero, especially for operators. It facilitates the workflows for post-editing analysis clips and reduces turn-around time. The visual timeline, as displayed above, gives a complete graphical overview of the playlist including all recorded annotations and tracks. It unburdens your operators in order to edit and synchronize any graphics, 3D flights, or other elements. Virtual Run: More elements and improved handling Due to the big success and great feedback on the Virtual Run feature, some more efforts have been dedicated to this impressive effect. The handling has been simplified, which lets you create a complete virtual run within only a few minutes. On the other hand, new elements have been added to the virtual run. The Strobo effect for the virtual run allows you to display some snapshots of the player behind his animated movement. Other than this you can now also navigate the desired player movement to other positions than the original one. 6 Single-cam 3D ball track Different to previous versions of Viz Libero, 3D ball tracks can now be created with only one available camera feed and are not anymore depending on two synchronized camera feeds. This does not only result in a significant turn-around reduction to create 3D ball tracks, but also makes the feature available for all possible setups, i.e. for studio productions with only one multilateral camera signal. More graphics and customization options Many new annotation effects have been added to Viz Libero, like the 3D Wall to visualize blocking actions, a one-click marker for ball impacts in tennis, and a vertical arrow to measure the height of long passes or player jumps. On top of that, Viz Libero 5.5 includes: player grow, player dissolve, zone focus, and distance measurement on player tracks. At the same time many existing effects have been improved. The 3D arrow can have now different start and end heights, very useful for example for basketball throws or long passes and high strikes in any sport. The offside-line can be set interactively in the Telestrator, and player names can be easily post-edited. Additionally, many effects can be customized to implement the channel s look and feel within Viz Libero. The customizable elements within Viz Libero include: overlays, player marks, player labels, offside wall, 3D wall and player dissolve effects. For advanced customization, we recommend the new Viz Engine integration for full customization of graphics elements. Some of the mentioned effects can be seen at the end of the preview video of Viz Libero 5.5. Other improvements in Viz Libero 5.5 The complete list of improvements can be seen in the Viz Libero Release Notes. Some important changes are already mentioned below: Win7/x64 compatibility and open system support with access to Windows 64 bit release with more stability related to methods with high memory consumption Hardware: HP Z420 support, Nvidia Quadro 5000 and Quadro K5000 support Improved rendering quality to full field-based rendering Improved handling of shuttle support within Clips Added new object picking method in Telestrator Flight module o Improved trackball for easier creation of virtual views o Flights can directly be triggered when clicking a camera preview button o Shuttle can be used in flights Enabled panorama stitch for all sports Speed up of various components using GPU processing Copyright Vizrt, 2013 Page 6/6
