1 29 March 2017 Dear Parents, Sign-up for JC2 Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) Please be informed that a letter dated 22 March 2017 has been issued to you through your child. It outlines the programme and events that will take place in our college in Term 2. The soft copy version is available on our college website at the following link: In particular, please take note of the invitation letter to our Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM), the details of which are as follows: Date: 8 April 2017 (Saturday) Time: 0900h to 1200h Venue: School Hall You may also wish to attend the Principal s Address at 1010h to 1040h at LT1. Signing up for the PTM and Principal s Address will be opened from 3 Apr (Mon) 2000h to 7 Apr 2017 (Fri) 0800h. Please see attached for the detailed instructions. For the PTM, the appointment slots are available on a first-come-first served basis. We seek your understanding to limit yourselves to only one 10min slot per teacher. As our tutors' appointments are very tight, please be punctual and adhere to the allocated time. It is highly recommended that your child attends the session with you. If you feel that you need more time or the tutor is already fully booked, please parents@vjc.sg with your child s name and class, and the tutor s name and subject. We will inform the tutor to contact you and make alternative arrangement with you. 2 Instructions to parents on how to sign up for the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) Step 1: The sign-up sheet will only be accessible when the sign-up period starts. To access it, you may click on this link: OR You may scan the following QR code: OR You may log on to your account. Open the with the subject heading: Signup for Parent-Teacher Meeting. Click on the link: Sign up for PTM at the end of the . Sign up for PTM Click on this link to access the sign up sheet. Step 2: To search for a particular tutor that you would like to meet, click on the subject tab at the bottom of the schedule. E.g. If you are meeting your child s Economics tutor, click on the Economics tab. Scroll down until you find his or her name in the list. To search for a particular tutor, click on the tab of the subject that he/she is teaching Note that Civics Tutors are also categorized according to the subjects that they teach. 1

3 For CCA matters, please refer to the tab under either `Sports or `Performing Arts. For advice on Higher Education and Scholarships matters, you can arrange for a meeting under 'Higher Education' and Scholarships respectively. The College Counsellor will also be available for an appointment (under Counselling tab) if you wish to discuss issues related to your child s well-being. Step 3: Fill in your name and the particulars of your child in an available time slot, indicating briefly the reasons for the meeting. For non-english speaking parents who require translation service during the meeting, please also indicate the language for translation. Please be careful not to accidentally erase an earlier appointment entry. Remark: If all the time slots of a particular tutor have been taken up, please parents@vjc.sg with your child s name and class, and the name and subject of the tutor you would like to meet. We will inform the tutor to contact you and make alternative arrangement with you. Choose an appointment timeslot by filling in your name and child s details. Please include your areas of concern. Kindly indicate if you need translation service. Step 4: Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to book appointments for all tutors you wish to meet. Step 5: The Principals Address will be held from 10.10am to 10.40am at LT1. If you wish to attend, please sign up under the Principal s Address tab: 2

4 Step 6: Please note down all your appointments in the attached Schedule Form and bring it along for the PTM. You may then close the sign-up sheet. Your appointments will be auto-saved. Kindly note the following: 1. As tutors schedules are very tight, please be punctual for the meeting. 2. The deadline for signing up will be followed strictly. After which, you will only be able to view the sign-up sheet. 3. If all the time slots of a particular tutor have been taken up, please parents@vjc.sg with your child s name and class, and the name and subject of the tutor you would like to meet. We will inform the tutor to contact you and make alternative arrangement with you. 4.
