2 Although Showcase Workshop probably look like a cold, heartless corporation on the outside, we are actually a pretty nice bunch of real humans. Our goal here is to arm you with short, concise directions that get to the point without drowning you in technical jargon or detail. Glossary Showcase Workshop website: - where Admins & Editors build showcases, and Viewers view them. Where the magic happens. Showcase Workshop app: The ipad, iphone, Android, Windows, or Mac app used to view your showcase(s). Showcase(s): Created on the website and viewable on both the website and the app, a showcase could be a presentation, a digital brochure, a training manual, or a combination of these. A showcase contains slides with hotspots. Hotspot: The tappable area that links to a submenu, image gallery, video, document or URL, created on the website. The portals to all your amazing content. 2

3 The Showcase Workshop App The Showcase Workshop app securely receives and stores the latest version of your company collateral for instant access from any device. Device requirements A compatible tablet, smartphone, laptop or desktop. The Showcase Workshop app A Showcase password - if you don t have one of these, ask the admin for your company workshop to add you. In addition to the device notifications described below, an orange cloud will display under your showcase thumbnails to indicate that updates are available. How to get up & running on your device 1. Download Showcase from your device app store. 2. Enter your address and password 3. Download the available showcases by tapping on the green cloud below the showcase thumbnail. Receiving updates As long as you are online, your device will automatically notify you when updates are available for your showcases. The Showcase app will only download the updates, rather than the entire showcase. Receiving updates on ipad & iphone If you are an ipad or iphone user, you will be notified of the update by a red circle on the Showcase Workshop launch icon. The red circle will have a number inside it and this number indicates how many updates are available. 3

4 Receiving updates on Android If you are an Android user, a small icon will appear in the tray at the top of the screen. Swipe down the tray to read the notification message. Receiving updates on Windows If you re a Windows tablet user, the number of updates will show in the bottom left corner of the app icon in the start screen. Sharing If your showcase has files available for sharing, you can share this content with anyone who has an address. Boom! The recipient does not have to register for Showcase, download any apps or software, and they don t even need to have a tablet or smartphone. To share content from the app: 1. Open the showcase you wish to share content from. 2. Open the Sharing menu by touching the share icon, top right of the screen (or from the tools tray that you pop out bottom left). 3. Select the content you wish to share from the list. 4. Hit next, fill out the recipient and message details & hit the Send button to share the content. An will be sent to the recipient containing a link to the content you have shared. You, as the sender, will also be CC d in this message. You can track when a recipient has opened or downloaded the content you shared via the Reporting tab in the website. 4

5 Advanced Navigation If you have a big showcase that you are presenting often, you want an easier way of moving between slides. Time is precious! Our handy Search & Favourites features help with this. Search You can find Search in the Tools tray at the bottom left of your screen. The icon is the little magnifying glass. When we tap on that, we re presented with a view of all of the slides and menu screens available in this particular showcase. This in itself is a great way to navigate to a slide deep within your showcase, but it gets better. You can also use the search bar up the top there to find which slides link to files with your search term. This is the Showcase about Showcase. Let s say you re talking to a customer or prospect who wants more information on setting up their first showcase. You might like to show them the user guides as a starter, so you d start typing user Any slides with the word user in the file name of the image will show up as a search result. You ll also see any slides that link to files with user in the file name. Excellent! Favourites As you re browsing around a showcase, you can favorite a slide at any time. You do this by tapping the hamburger menu bottom left, and then tapping the heart icon. Unfavorite just as easily by tapping it again. Boom! When you need to access your favorites again, go to Search as above, and use the switcher top right - All to Favorites. Once your favorites are set up, they ll last as long as you are logged in, so you don t have to re-favorite slides every time - and they work across all of your devices! 5

6 The Showcase Website Browser requirements Showcase Workshop has the following minimum browser requirements: Internet Explorer 9 Google Chrome (latest version) Mozilla Firefox (latest version) Safari (latest version) If your web browser is below the above requirements, a message will be displayed warning you about the potential of reduced functionality. For the best possible experience, please update your browser. Logging in Just head to from your supported browser. Enter your account address and password. If you do not yet have an account, sign up at Showcaseworkshop.com. If your company already has a workshop set up, you can ask your admin to add you to this. Forgotten password Can t remember your password? These things happen. Choose the Forgot your password? link on the log in page. An will be sent to the address associated with your account, which will provide you with a link to reset your password. Your user details You can access & edit your profile information by clicking the workshop name on the right hand side of the top navigation menu, and selecting your user name from the dropdown. As a user, from this page you can: Edit/change your first & last name Edit/change your address Edit/change your contact number Edit/change your password 6

7 Pitch On the website there s a tab along the top called Pitch. Use Pitch to send a link to a full showcase that your prospect can view online. You can also use Pitch to send individual files - just like you do from the Showcase Workshop tablet app. When you choose a showcase, if your Admin has allowed it, the Full showcase access option will be selected by default. If it hasn t been allowed, but there are files that have been made shareable, these will also show in the list for you to select and send. 7 However, with Pitch, you don t have to be on your tablet at all - instead, log in to & go to the Pitch tab. First, pop in the (s) of the people you re sharing with: And then you select the showcase. Whether you can share the full showcase, certain files, or nothing depends on settings chosen by your Admin. Once you ve chosen the showcase and what you want to share, you can add an optional message for the recipient. You can Preview this message before you send it. After you ve previewed the sharing , hit Send to get it on its merry way. As with Sharing, the full showcase and links to files will last 30 days as default. Your Admin can change the expiry period if they choose. And as with sharing, you get an notification when the recipient opens the sharing page. You can change this in the app under the settings cog, or in the website by clicking on the workshop name top left, then your name, then the toggle under Features.

8 Activity Log & Sharing History The activity log tracks your activity across Showcase Workshop. This includes: Downloading a showcase Sharing of content: Each time you share content (customer name, content shared, time and date) Accessing shared content: Each time a customer accesses shared content you ed to them (customer name / , time and date) s that bounced Activity data can be filtered by type of activity & time range. Sharing History gives you a centralised summary of which of your leads have been accessing the content you send to them, and when. Access both the Activity log and Sharing History by going to the Reporting tab on the website. Click on one of these to see a more detailed view of which files were sent to them, whether they read the and whether they downloaded any of the files. If you ve sent that person a full showcase, then you can check out a Timeline of that person s viewing. You can see how long they viewed the showcase overall, and how long they spent on each slide and file. In this example, Big Bird spent about 3.5 minutes looking at the showcase overall, and almost a minute on this one Insurance brochure. This is a great way to see if your full showcase is being read or if most people skip the same parts! If you want a record of all these events, there s also the option to download a CSV of this data, at the top of the contacts list next to the filter box. Under Sharing History, you ll see a list of contacts on the left hand side. Anyone you have shared to in the past will appear here. If the list is long & you re looking for a particular person, you can use the filter at the top to refine it.
