2 Registering for an account Only current TP staff and students with valid addresses can sign up for Lynda.com.

3 Go to and enter either your TP staff or student address. Note: Students who are accessing Lynda.com through LMS should stick to that method and not register for an account through this signup. Use your TP address

Check your TP staff or student email for the email from Lynda.com.

4 Check your TP staff or student for the from Lynda.com. Click on Follow this link to finish creating your profile. Note to students: if you cannot find the from Lynda.com, check your Clutter folder.

5 At the Welcome screen, Select No (unless you had previously subscribed to Lynda.com).

6 Enter your name and create a password for your account.

7 Success! Go ahead and sign in to either oncampus or off-campus. Please note that Lynda.com accounts that remain unused for more than 3 months may be deleted due to limited software licenses.

8 Accessing your assigned playlist

Go to http://www.lynda.com and click on Sign In.

9 Go to and click on Sign In. Use your TP address and the password that you had created earlier.

10 If a playlist has been assigned to you, it will appear on the homepage once you login. Another way to access your playlist.

11 Click on the course or video in the playlist.

12 Start watching the video(s).

15 Either browse the topics available or do a search:

16 On the left column of the results page, you can refine your results.

18 Mobile apps

19 Android or ios app Install the app from Google Play Store or App Store. The example given is for android devices but will be similar for ios devices. For downloading of the app and Lynda.com courses/videos, you may want to use a WiFi connection.

20 Click on Already a member? Before doing so, make sure you have already registered for an account with your TP address, and finished setting up your account by clicking on the confirmation from Lynda.com. Note: If you watch a video or course using the mobile app, remember to login to so that it can sync your progress. Some lecturers/tutors and SCD will may need to keep track of how much you have watched.

21 Log in to your Lynda account using your TP address and the password that you created.

22 You will reach the homepage. If you have been assigned a playlist by your lecturer, tutor or SCD, they are listed under Assignments. Click on More to see the entire list.

23 If you want to download a course or video, click on the download icon.

24 Either download the entire course or only selected videos.

25 To view the downloaded videos, go to the homepage of the app and click on the menu icon.

26 Then select Downloads.
