1 Step-by step guide for MRU students to uploading Master s Thesis to elaba repository

2 Log in the repository Go to Select Submit to repository

3 Select your institutional affiliation from the drop-down menu: Mykolo Romerio universitetas Click the button Toliau (Next) Sign in with your MRU credentials: Username: MRU student name Password: MRU student password

4 Uploading a Master s Thesis Click the button Naujas dokumentas (New document) Step 1 (Žingsnis 1) Bendri duomenys (General data) DB (Database) select ETD Tipas (Document type) select Magistro darbas (Master s Thesis). Aprašo kūrėjo padalinys (Record creator s subunit) filled in automatically. Aprašą sukūręs vartotojas (User who created a record) - filled in automatically. Dokumento kalba (Document language) select the language of a document.

5 Mokslo kryptys ir sritys (Research fields and areas) Click the button Pridėti mokslo kryptį, sritį (Add research field and area) Select your research field and expand the research area by using button down menu, find the research area and mark the right area by clicking, scroll button. Click the button Tęsti (Continue)

6 Step 2 (Žingsnis 2) Antraštė, anotacija, reikšminiai žodžiai (Title, annotation, keywords) Click the button Pridėti (Add) Title, annotation and keywords have to be written in Lithuanian and English languages. Language in which document is written have to be added the first. Titles have to be written in a Sentence case (capitalise only the first letter of the first word in a title). Annotations should be in plain language avoid using symbols or special formatting. Keywords have to be written in a lowercase letters and separated by semicolon. Add the required data and click the button Patvirtinti (Confirm) Autoriai (Authors) Name, surname, the institution and subunit are filled in automatically. Check the address, if you want you may change your student to your personal. If you need to correct your personal data click the button.

7 Bendradarbiavimas su verslu (Collaboration with business) - Optional!!! Click the button Pridėti bendradarbiavimą su verslu (Add a collaboration with business) Įmonės pavadinimas (Company s name) enter a company s name. Šalis* (Country) select a country from the list. Click the button Tęsti (Continue) Step 3 (Žingsnis 3) Fiziniai duomenys (Physical data) Apimtis (Volume) enter the exact number of pages in your PDF file, e.g. 102 p.

8 Darbo gynimas (Master s Thesis defence) Darbas apgintas (MT is defended) insert a check mark to indicate that your MT is already defended. Gynimo data (MT defence date) select from the calendar your MT defence date. Padalinys* (Subunit) click the button Pasirinkti (Select) and select the department where your MT was defended. Kiti atsakingi asmenys (Other responsible persons) As you are uploading already defended MT you have to enter only your MT primary supervisor and reviewer. Click the button Pridėti atsakingą asmenį (Add a responsible person). Enter a person s surname (Pavardė*) in the users search form and click the button Ieškoti (Search). Apibūdinimas (Qualification) select the qualification from the list and click the button Patvirtinti (Confirm). E.g. Darbo vadovas (darbo konsultantas eksteno atveju) - primary supervisor; Recenzentas, kritikas reviewer. Click the button Tęsti (Continue)

9 Step 4 (Žingsnis 4) Pridedami failai (Attachments) Pagrindinis failas (Main document) Upload your MT in it s final PDF format. Title pages, appendixes and the declaration of academic integrity have to be uploaded as a one PDF file. Priedai (Supplemental files) Optional!!! You may upload data sets or other materials not contained in your MT. Files may be any of the following formats:.pdf,.doc,.docx,.jpg, etc. Prieigos sąlygos (Access restrictions) specify access restrictions for the uploaded file(s). You may choose from 3 types of access: 1. Laisvai prieinamas internete (Freely accessible on the Internet) all the uploaded files will be freely available by elaba search system. 2. Prieinamas tik institucijos intranete (Accessible only on the Institution Intranet) all the uploaded files will be available only for the MRU community users. 3. Neprieinamas (Inaccessible) all the uploaded files will be inaccessible by elaba search system, the users may see only the metadata of a document.

10 Galioja iki* (Valid until) In case you choose access restrictions type Laisvai prieinamas internete (Freely accessible on the Internet) or Prieinamas tik institucijos intranete (Accessible only on the Institution Intranet) a field Galioja iki* (Valid until) appears. Here you have to set expiration date (no longer than 3 years). Select date from the calendar. After the expiration date all the uploaded files will be available on the Internet. Click the button Tęsti (Continue) Step 5 (Žingsnis 5) Licencinės sutartys su autoriumi (License agreements) Select a type of license agreement. You may select only Elektroninė (Electronic agreement).

11 Patvirtinu, kad duomenys pateikti licencinėje sutartyje yra teisingi (autorius) (I confirm that the data in the Licence agreement is correct (author)) insert a check mark to indicate that you have read and agree to the Licence agreement terms. Veiksmai (Actions) Select the action Perduoti bibliotekos darbuotojui tvirtinti (Forward to a librarian for a confirmation) and click the button Išsaugoti (Save) In case your uploading is correct you receive confirmation that your MT have been successfully uploaded to elaba repository and becomes available by Primo search gates If you have any problems or questions regarding the MT uploading, contact Danguolė Pivoriūnaitė, tel.: , danguole@mruni.eu
