7 What s A Whisper? A Whisper is a short message that plays before the call is connected. Only the person answering the phone hears this message; the caller does NOT hear the whisper message. 8 What s A Call Recording Notification? A Call Recording Notification is a short message that plays to the caller before your client answers the phone; the person answering the phone does NOT hear the message. It s always a good idea to use this! We use it on EVERY single call tracking number we setup. Better safe than sorry. There s a few telephone recording laws that I want to educate you on... By all means this is not legal advice! (my attorney makes me say this)
9 The 2 Types of State Laws That Govern Telephone Recording All-party notification states (CA, CT, FL, IL, MD, MA, MT, NV, NH, PN, WA) All- party notifications means that both parties participating in a phone call are made aware that the call is being recorded. One-party notification states One-party notification means that only one party out of the two on the call are notified that the call is being recorded.
10 The 2 Types of State Laws That Govern Telephone Recording What are the accepted forms of notification for telephone recording? Prior or written consent of all parties to the telephone conversation. Verbal notification before the recording is made. An audible beep tone repeated at regular intervals during the course of the call. What does Federal law require for recording telephone calls? Federal law requires that at least one party taking part in the call must be notified of the recording. The Telephone recording laws in some U.S. states require only one party to be aware of the recording, while other states require both parties to be aware. It is considered better practice to announce at the beginning of a call that the conversation is being recorded. For example, at the beginning of a call you could play a brief message that says something to the effect of; This call will be recorded for quality and training purposes.

12 How s Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI) Work? This Is Done With Javascript Snippet In Place Of Your Phone # Google Doesn't Spider Javascript... So you can use DNI to display tracking numbers that google doesn't see. With DNI you get the full ability to track calls back to: Google Organic, Adwords, Facebook, etc and your local rankings aren't effected. Referrer Unique Tracking #
13 Extra Precaution Marketers that want more assurance can take an extra step and include the NAP in the footer in fine print. While having a trackable number (thats not indexable by google) prominently displayed at the top of the site and throughout your body.
