2 My Housing Self-Service Log in to Inside F&M with your Net ID and password using Google Chrome as the browser. Click on the My Info tab. Select My Housing Self-Service from the left margin.

3 Choosing a Roommate(s) Select the Room Selection tab Click on Roommate Selection from the drop down Type in Last Name/First Name or Address to search for a particular student Click Begin Search

5 SELECTING A ROOMMATE When you add a roommate, the student you request will receive an informing them that you have selected them as a roommate. Until the student accepts you as a roommate, your roommate request will be marked as Does Not Match. You will need to wait for that student to also request you as a roommate in order for you all to be confirmed as Matches. It is required that all of your roommate requests are marked as Matches in order for your roommate group to be complete. If a roommate request s status is Not Eligible or Student Assigned, you should not select this student as a roommate, because he/she will not be able to participate in room selection.

6 Roommate Selection

7 Remove/Remind a Roommate If you accidentally add a roommate in error, simply click the Remove button to the right of the student status. The student will be informed via that they have been removed as a roommate. If a student has not accepted your request you can use the Remind button.

8 Roommate Group Screen will indicate You have an unmatched roommate group until all roommates have accepted. When all requests have been accepted by all parties your screen will indicate, Your roommate group is fully matched. NOTE: If your roommate group is not fully matched, you will NOT be able to select a room when your selection time is activated.

9 Where to Find Your Participation Time You can find your participation time on the My Housing Self- Service Overview screen. This is the first screen you see when you select My Housing Self-Service. Your room selection information will be displayed at the bottom of the screen in the Room Selection section. The lotteries you may participate in will be displayed. For example, you may be in both the Any College House room selection and the Brooks room selection (depending on your College House affiliation). The person with the earliest selection time chooses for the group. Once a student is pulled into a room or unit they do not need to log in at their scheduled participation time. Room Selection Numbers and Selection Times are NOT transferrable.

10 Contingency Plan If your roommate group is made up of 4 people you will only be able to see 4 person spaces available at the time of your selection. If you would like to view 3 person spaces you will need to remove a friend from your group. You will then see available 3 person spaces. The person you removed from the roommate group will receive an that they have been removed from the group.

11 Viewing Available Rooms Once the selection phase has started, you will be able to login to view available rooms. However, you will not be able to SELECT a room until your selection time is ACTIVE. To view available rooms, login to My Housing Self- Service and choose Room Selection then Select a Room or Suite from the Room Selection Menu.

12 Selecting a Room When you have found the room/apartment that you wish to choose, click Select Room. Please review the pricing prior to clicking Select Room. You will then go to the Room Booking Screen. The Room Booking Screen is where you will place you and your roommates in a particular room. You may not place the same student more than once. If you select a multi-person room/unit/suite you may not leave a bed empty. You must fill all beds.

15 Completing the Process Once you have submitted your room booking you will NOT be able to go back and make changes. Requests for changes or errors regarding your room selection should be ed to Lori Foust, Director of Housing, at Please copy all roommates in the group so that all are aware of any changes being requested. Every 3 minutes a new student logs in to make their selection. You may take as long as you wish to make your selection once your participation time has arrived. Offerings change quickly and particular room types are not guaranteed to any student.

16 WAITING LIST If the housing that you prefer is not available when it is your turn to select, please indicate your preference on the wait list. Rooms are based on availability and specific room types are not guaranteed. Lori Foust, Director of Housing, at with questions or concerns.

17 Selecting a Dining Plan Select the Dining tab to choose a dining plan option for Fall NOTE: All sophomores are required to carry either the 225 Block or the new 150 Block meal plan. Junior and Senior students may select from any of the meal plans offered or may opt out altogether and not carry a meal plan. Bens Bucks may be purchased through the Business Office, if desired. Up to two changes to your meal plan can be made online. To cancel a meal plan, please lori.foust@fandm.edu.
