3 Accessing the Campaign Manager Menu 1. Mouse over Communications, and then click Manage Campaigns. Other ways to access the Campaign Manager is through the Campaigns link on the left on the Home Page, clicking on the Campaign Analysis item under the Reports/Analysis and clicking on any item in Recent Mobilization widget if added to the Dashboard area of the Home Page. 2. View the Campaign Manager. a. The display defaults to All Issues. b. View the Delete, Move, and Create links, as these allow you to modify the Campaign Manager folders and activities. c. View the Perform button, as this is used to start a new communication task (i.e. an action alert or ). d. View the Key Metrics i. This section is the count of Issues, Campaigns, and Projects which display at each level. ii. View the Activities, which are aggregate totals of the number of various types of activities below.

4 Issue, Campaign, and Project Level Dashboard 1. Click the Generate Dashboard button to see more detailed campaign statistics. 2. The Information Section including the Generate and Perform buttons are still displayed. 3. View the aggregate totals of the activities associated with the Issue, Campaign or Project you selected. a. View the total number of action alerts associated with the Issue, Campaign or Project you selected. i. View the total number of activations associated with the Issue, Campaign or Project you selected. Click the link to display a list of the activations associated with all the corresponding activities. Double-click a record on the result list to display the activation details including the letter text and who it was sent to. ii. View the total number of individuals; click the link to display the list of individuals. iii. View the total number of legislators; click the link to display the list of legislators. iv. View the total number of special recipients; click the link to display the list of special recipients. v. View the total number of media; click the link to display the list of media. b. View the total number of s associated with the issue. Click the tooltip to display status descriptions. i. Hover text will display over the numbers and display the status description. ii. View the statistics of the s associated with the Issue. (Note: The View Details link in the Full Details column displays a complete list of statistics.) c. View the Click Through Tracking associated with the Issue, Campaign or Project you selected. This is the sum of all clicks of all links. Clicking on the number will display the list of those individuals. d. View the offline activities associated with the Issue, Campaign or Project and the individuals and legislators associated with the offline activities. Note: Only those activities that have data under an Issue, Campaign or Project will show up here (i.e., Tell a Friend or PAC Solicitations counts will display only if these features are associated with the Issue, Campaign, or Project you selected.)

5 Activity Level Dashboard (Action Alert) 1. Select the activity from the Campaign Manager. a. The Activity Dashboard is now a series of Tabs. The tabs that display will differ based on the type of activity. For Action Alerts the default tab is Activations. b. The top table is activations by the Communication Type. Click the number associated with the category to display a list of activations. (Note: The Total Individuals column displays the unique number of individuals who took action.) c. View the list of targets contacted by the communication type. Click the number associated with the category to display a list of legislators, media, and special recipients. (Note: The Total Individuals column displays the unique number of individuals associated with the targets;

6 NOTE: Only those categories that have data will appear so each Action Alert can show different data. Activity Level Dashboard ( ) 1. Select the activity from the Campaign Manager. a. The default tab is s. b. View the statistics for the . The example action alert below has three s, but not all action alerts will have multiple s. Hover text for each number and status will appear and clicking the number will display the list of individuals associated with that activity. c. All the Communication Wizard functions are here so you can preview the , make a copy of the , or print the details of the . d. Selecting the View Details link in the Full Details column displays all statistics, including those not on the screen. e. Click the View Status Definitions link for a complete list of all statuses and their definitions. f. Id is now displayed.

7 Generating a Report 1. Click the Generate button. 2. A list of available reports displays. The list will be different depending on where in the Campaign Manager you selected to run Reports. To run the report, click the individual report name. Most reports will run with just the click on the name. A few reports like Activations by State Legislator will require you to select a state or states. 3. Click the Return to Campaigns button to go back to your prior place in the Campaign Manager. Democracy Direct will remember where you navigated from and return you to the same place.
