This guide will explore some of those and give you specific directions on how to customize them for your studio, as well as suggestions for event planning for holidays.

5 Photos and Print Ads Photos are great to use in all your ads, brochures, social media, monthly s, and your website. CCSA Logo: Great to post on your website and Facebook to show you are a member of an international association. Put your cursor over the photo, right click, click save as, and save into an album on your computer. Photos Put your cursor over the photo, right click, click save as, and save into an album on your computer. Then it s ready to add to flyers, websites, monthly s, and social media. Facebook Cover Photos Use general PYOP cover photos on your own Facebook page. Put your cursor over the photo, right click, click save as, and save into an album on your computer. There are generic paint photos, and cover photos for Scout Troops, Halloween, Fall, Summer, Father s and Mother s Day, 4 th of July, birthdays, camps, bridal showers, corporate parties, camps, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Ladies Night, Easter, Mardi Gras, Rosh Hashanah, PYOP day, Passover, Make and Take projects, and Valentine s Day. Print Ads We ve created many ads that are ready for you to use for the holidays. They can be easily adapted to use your own text. Included on the website: generic print ads, generic creativity ones, mosaic examples, hand prints and babies, painted feet, generic glass projects, slow-month September, ladies nights/girls nights out, clay examples, creating with Grandma, Girl Scouts ones for 4th of July, off-site parties, Mother s and Father s Day, summer camp, Halloween, and Christmas. With a jpg: 1. Copy and save the jpg. 2. Save it in your photos 3. Open a Word document. 4. Click Insert on menu bar and click pictures. 5. Choose a picture. 6. Click Insert, then the arrow under Text Box. 7. Choose Draw Text Box at the bottom. 8. Use the X cursor to put the text box where you want it. 9. Make the box the shape you want. 10. Add your text. 11. To remove the box, right click on the box. 12. Scroll down and click the small box that says Outline. 13. On the drop down, click No Outline.

6 With a pdf: 1. Click under Marketing Tab. 2. Click Customizing Flyer Templates. 3. Follow the easy instructions using Adobe Reader. Flyer Templates These can all be customized for your own events for specific holidays. Use them for your brochures and flyers, or add them to your social media pages and website. Flyer templates include: Art Therapy, Cool Way, Pottery to Go, Pet Flyer, Tweens, Girl Scouts, Home School, Corporate, Education, Family Fun, Ladies Night, Girls Night Out, Feet and Hand examples, Mosaics, Clay, Glass, and Field Trips. UK flyer templates include: Holiday, Pottery to Go, Christmas Ornaments, Cool Way to Have Fun, Corporate, Art Therapy, Pet, and Tweens. In the Flyer Tab click on: Customizing Flyer Templates Insert your own text for events into an already created template! It s easy to do: With a jpg: 1. Copy and save the jpg. 2. Save it in your photos 3. Open a Word Document. 4. Click Insert on menu bar and click Pictures. 5. Choose a picture. 6. Click Insert, then the arrow under Text Box. 7. Choose Draw Text Box at the bottom. 8. Use the X cursor to put the text box where you want it. 9. Make the box the shape you want. 10. Add your text. 11. Stock Photos You can copy and save these to use in your own marketing materials in print, online, monthly s, or on your website.

7 Put your cursor over the photo, right click, click Save as and save into an album on your computer. Stock photos include: ones for all our suppliers, hand and photo prints, adults painting, generic pottery painting, canvas, glass, clay, families painting, kids painting, mosaics, and scouts painting. Under Snap Retail: New Year s Resolutions, Christmas, Thank You, Winter, Holidays, Santa, Engagement, Open House, Hanukkah, Fusing Photos, Families, Tweens, Bridal, and Birthdays. Poster Pictures There are samples of pictures that can be used in posters. Click on an image to view a larger version. You can save this larger version to your hard drive by right clicking it and saving. Included in these poster photos: corporate, bridal showers, and generic pottery painting. Clip Art, Line Art, and Free Gift Tags There are a number of items ready for you to use for your own marketing campaign. Just right click and save any of these to use on brochures, postcards, flyers, monthly s, social media, and your website. Categories include: International, adults, family, pets, holidays (4th of July, Hanukkah, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Scouts, Thanksgiving, Mother s Day, and handprints) kids, babies, glass, and free gift tags for your customers. Marketing Slogans They can be used to market your events by copying them into your brochures, ads, flyers, and on your Facebook page. Marketing slogans are included for: date night, ladies lunching, and generic painting sessions. To download the image, simply choose the image you would like to view, right click on the large image, copy and paste into the programs you work in or save the image as a file. Alternatively, you can right click on the small image on this page and choose Save Target As. This will download the full-size image as a file on your computer. Marketing on a Shoestring Budget See how you can do it it s a cheap and easy list of ways to market your studio and to get your name out there. Marketing Articles There are a huge number of these, offering great advice on everything from summer camp, holiday marketing, and pricing to trends and best practices on Facebook.

8 Marketing Calendar This extensive calendar will help you to schedule your marketing for the month, the quarter, and the year. It includes reminders of what to do. All months are on the website. Check inspirational dates provided. Use the list of things to order. Follow the things to do list. Read through and implement the Marketing and Event Suggestions. Press Releases Click on the How to & sample from Retail Minded under the Press Release tab. This will walk you step by step through how to put together a press release. Press releases can be sent out for any event, class, camp, or party option in your studio. They are a great way to get media attention for your studio through TV, newspaper, magazine, and the Internet. Press releases included on the website: school fundraiser, teacher gifts, PYOP days, handmade gifts, Christmas gifts, kid s birthdays, and fundraisers. All press releases can formatted or reworded for any event or holiday. 1. Find your media sources. Contact newspapers, community papers, local TV news, college papers, blogs, business groups, schools, and private businesses. 2. Type up a draft using the easy-to-follow template from Retail Minded. 3. Cover the 5 Ws about your event: who what, where, when, and why. 4. Keep it simple and to the point. Keep your packet small. The media gets a lot of press releases. 5. your press release along with all your contact information. 6. Always try to address it to a specific individual. 7. Do follow up. , call, and repeat. CCSA Press Releases Directions, examples, and much more are saved as docs so it s easy to make changes. Just click on and type. 9 Studio Events Calendar PowerPoint 1. Open the calendar in PowerPoint. 2. Click on the month you want to use. 3. Click on each box, then type in your own text. 4. Once you ve filled in your entire studio s information, right click and save to your computer to use for your mass s, website, brochures, and social media. Remember where you saved it and call it something easy to remember. Videos Videos make a great marketing tool for all your social media, monthly s, and website. To copy the video to your computer: right click on the video, Save As and save to your computer videos. Halloween Video: Halloween ideas Holiday Handprints: Holiday gift ideas Girl Scout Video: Send to the GS council or post on your social media Ah-Ha Videos These teach you everything from great storage solutions, techniques, and projects to loading a kiln and glazing, to how to stamp a footprint. These webinars are great solutions to studio challenges. TV Commercials The CCSA provides a state-of-the-art TV commercial that can be customized especially for your studio and needs. Webinars Any recorded webinars can found under the Convention/Events tab. Learn about recruiting and hiring, how to be profitable, and much more! Techniques Under Quick Links there are dozens of techniques for pottery painting, glass fusing, clay, canvas, PMC jewelry, glass painting, tie dying, and even guides on all these for your camps.

10 Forms and Templates You can find these and much more under the Studio Operations tab. Field Trip Supplies: List to take with you when you have a party or field trip that involves pottery, clay, and/or canvas. Promotional Rubic: Use this to keep track of which forms of marketing you have used for each event. Check off as you go! Girl Scout Guide You can purchase one (Under Online Store, under Aprons and Misc.) The guide includes: Participating Studio Sponsor Information General Girl Scout & Badge Information Additional Tips Badge Earning Project Guide, Patterns, & Ideas 12 mixed media projects, 7 canvas projects, 1 glass project, 8 pottery, and 14 clay projects Event Planning Follow the easy steps below using the CCSA marketing tools on the website for the best results when planning and executing your events. Just click on the Marketing Tab to find these resources. New Year s 1. Decide what your event will be. 2. Plan the event 5 6 weeks ahead. 3. Make a brochure using the Blank Print Ad or your own brochure using the New Year s Stock Photo. 4. Send out a press release at least 5 weeks ahead, using the samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for any event! 5. Use your Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for cheap and easy ideas to get the word out. 6. Add the event to your customizable December Studio Events Calendar provided in the Marketing tab. Add this to your website and Facebook page and/or print them out for customers! 7. 3 weeks and 1 week before the event: Send out a mass to your customers about the event using your marketing service. 8. Refer to the provided December Marketing Calendar. 9. Use the Promotional Rubic under Forms and Templates to check off marketing as you go!

11 Field Trips (at your studio, at the school) 1. Decide what camp projects you want to offer. Review the 2015 Summer Camp Guide, the 2015 Fall Project Guide, and the 2014 Winter Project Guide for great ideas. 2. Field Trips usually happen in spring, summer, and fall. Plan ahead accordingly. For spring, mail, , or call in November/December. For summer, mail, , or call in February/March. For fall, mail, or call in April/May. 3. Contact area schools. Send them an and a custom-made postcard about field trips (made by DC Graphix) or a custom flyer template from the marketing tab. There s one for offsite parties. 4. Create a flyer template using the Field Trip one. or mail this to area schools. 5. For a list of things to take to the school, use the Field Trip Supply List under Forms and Templates. Super Bowl Event 1. Plan out what your special or event will be at least 5 weeks ahead. 2. Send out a press release at least 5 weeks before the event. 3. Use the Family Fun Flyer Template to make a custom one for the event to pass out. 4. Use a stock photo of families painting in your Mass s, and send out 4 weeks and 1 week in advance. The photos include glass, clay, pottery and canvas examples. 5. Print out the December/January Marketing Calendar for more ideas. 6. Add the event to your customizable Studio Events Calendar provided in the Marketing tab. Add this to your website, Facebook or print them out for customers! 7. Send out a Press Release, at least 5 weeks ahead, using the samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for any event! 8. Use the pottery painting poster pictures to make custom posters for the event and display them in your bathrooms, party room, and any area businesses that would hang them. 9. Send a mass about your event at least 4 weeks and 1 week before. Valentine's Day 1. Plan your events and specials at least 5 weeks ahead. 2. Use the February Marketing Calendar for extra ideas. 3. Use the Handprint and Footprint stock photos on your website, Facebook, and mass to advertise the event. The photos include glass, clay, pottery, and canvas examples. 4. Get a postcard printed by Derick at DC Graphics to pass out to Dad s explaining the hand and foot print gifts you can customize for Mom. 5. Change your Facebook Cover photos to Valentine s and in the description explain your event. 6. Use hand/foot print Clip Art under Families and Pets to create a custom flyer to pass out. 7. Send out a mass about your event at least 4 weeks and 1 week out. 8. Add the event to your customizable Studio Events Calendar provided in the Marketing tab. Add this to your website, Facebook or print them out for customers! 9. Use your Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for cheap and easy ideas to get the word out.

12 Spring Break Camps 1. Decide what camp projects you want to offer. Review the 2015 Summer Camp Guide for inspiration. 2. Plan out the camps in January or February so you can start talking about them. 3. Make a brochure using the flyer templates for Tweens or Cool Way to Spend Your Day or Clay, Glass or Mosaics examples. 4. Use the camp stock photos to post on your Facebook weekly about your upcoming camps. The photos include glass, clay, pottery and canvas examples. 5. Use the stock camp photos in your monthly Mass s. 6. Add the event to your customizable Studio Events Calendar provided in the Marketing tab. Add this to your website, Facebook or print them out for customers! 7. Use the camp Print Ad to make a custom ad to place in local publications or kid s activity books. 8. Use your Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for cheap and easy ideas to get the word out. 9. Refer to the provided appropriate month s marketing calendar. 10. Use the Promotional Rubic under Forms and Templates to check off marketing as you go! Easter 1. 5 weeks prior to the even decide what your Easter focus or class will be. 2. Get a postcard printed by Derick at DC Graphics to pass out to Dad s explaining the hand and foot print gifts you can customize for Mom. 2. Start planning and talking about Mother s Day in March. 3. Create a Print Ad using the Father s Day or hand and Foot templates. Use this on your Facebook page and Mass . Send out s 5 weeks, 3 weeks, and 1 week before. 5. Or use provided clip art for patriotic holidays. 4. Change your Facebook Cover Photo to the Patriotic one provided under Photos. To the photo, add the date, and details of the event. Tell customers how to sign up. 5. Send out a Press Release, at least 5 weeks ahead, using the samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for any event!

14 6. Use your Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for cheap and easy ideas to get the word out. 7. Add the event to your customizable Studio Events Calendar provided in the Marketing tab. Add this to your website, Facebook or print them out for customers! 8. 3 weeks and 1 week before the event, send out a mass to your customers about the event using your Constant Contact. 9. Refer to the provided appropriate month s marketing calendar. 10. Use the Promotional Rubic under Forms and Templates to check off marketing as you go! 11. Make a brochure using the flyer templates for Clay, Mosaics, Glass, Fall or Holidays. 4. Use the camp or holiday stock photos to post on your Facebook weekly about your upcoming Winter camps. The photos include glass, clay, pottery and canvas examples. 5. Use the stock camp or holiday photos in your monthly Mass s. 6. Add the event to your customizable Studio Events Calendar provided in the Marketing tab. Add this to your website, Facebook or print them out for customers! 7. Use the camp Print Ad to make a custom ad to place in local publications or kid s holiday activity books. 8. Use your Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for cheap and easy ideas to get the word out. 9. Refer to the provided appropriate month s marketing calendar. 10. Use the Promotional Rubic under Forms and Templates to check off marketing as you go! 11. Send out a Press Release, at least 5 weeks ahead, using the samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for any event! 12. Change your Facebook cover photo to the provided Fall one and under description; post the details of this camp. Large Scale Events 1. Decide what projects you want to offer. 2. To advertise Large Scale events, use the stock photos for glass, pottery, clay and canvas to create a brochure from Flyer Templates. 3. For a list of things to take to the event: Use the Field Trip Supply List under Forms and Templates. 4. Send out in your mass that you offer and can accommodate large scale events with in studio or off site. 5. Use the Off Site Event print ad to make a custom ad you can use to advertise this offer on your Facebook, and mass s.

15 Birthday Parties 1. Use the Tween party flyer template to create a brochure describing what you offer to hand out to customers and post on your Facebook page. 2. Change your Facebook Cover photo to one of the Birthday examples. Write the details and information of your birthday parties as the description. 3. Use same produced flyer template to post ads on your Facebook, and area publications. 4. Use Birthday party stock photos for posting your birthday information on your website and Facebook page. 5. Utilize your Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for cheap and easy ideas to get the word out. 6. Send out a Press Release, at least 4 times a year, using the birthday party samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for your studio. 7. Use the premade, customizable TV Commercials to advertise your birthday parties in your area. 8. Send out in your mass that you offer Birthday parties in your studio and all the details. Bounce Back Coupons Have Derrick from DC Graphics create your studio's one-of-kind bounce back coupons to pass out at all studio events. Employee Appreciation Day corporate parties 1. Use the Corporate party flyer template to create a brochure describing what you offer to hand out to customers and post on your Facebook page. 2. Change your Facebook Cover photo to the corporate party example. Write the details and information of your corporate parties as the description. 3. Use same produced flyer template to post ads on your Facebook, and area publications. 4. Use adult party stock photos for posting your birthday information on your website and Facebook page. 5. Utilize your Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for cheap and easy ideas to get the word out. 6. Send out a Press Release, at least 4 times a year, using the samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for any event. 7. Use Adult and corporate stock photos in your mass to promote your corporate events. 8. Use a corporate poster picture to create a poster to hang in the studio. Girl Scout Event 1. Either use your copy, or purchase a copy of the CCSA Guide Scout Guide. (Under online Store, under aprons and misc.) 2. Use the guide to plan what projects you want to offer. 3. Use the guide to contact all your local GS chapters via Check the 2015 Summer Camp Guide and the 2015 Fall Project guide for lots of Girls Scout projects too.

16 5. You the Scouts Stock photos to send out a mass about your Girl Scout offerings. 6. Use the Scouts stock photo to create a Facebook post about what you offer. 7. Use the Scout Facebook Cover photo and add in the description what you offer. 8. Order Custom made Girl Scout Patches from Plano Pin Company. 9. Use the Girl Scout Flyer Template examples for glass or pottery to create your own to pass out or mail. 10. Send out a Press Release, at least 4 times a year, using the samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for your studio. 11. Use the Girl Scout video to post on your Facebook, Instagram, Website, Mass , and Pinterest. 12. Send out a Press Release, at least 4 times a year, using the birthday party samples under Marketing. The press releases can be customized for your studio. Paint a Story Time 1. 5 weeks before the event, use the 2015 Summer Camp Guide Paint Me a Story Ideas, or the 2015 Fall Project Guide to plan your projects you ll offer. 2.
