POLISHING OF SOLID CARBIDE DRILLS PRECISION AND PILOT DRILLS BASIC PRICE FOR MILLS Reference, pilot, and precision drills, ZOX, COX and ALU silver coatings as well as deep hole drills from 8 D require a surface smoothing after coating. We calculate an additional "polishing" charge. Due to the regrinding and coating process the compliance of pilot bores with accuracies can not be guaranteed. This is particularly true after multiple processing. Cutting off and grinding the end cutting geometry as well as the optimisation of the cutting edge (if necessary) are included in the basic price. SHANK RELIEF GRINDING TORUS MILLING CUTTERS TPC MILLING CUTTERS For GARANT and HOLEX tools the diameter adjustment of existing shank relief is included in the basic price. Upon request, we will extend the shank relief by the shortened length, at most up to the minimum clamping length to DIN For adjustment of shank relief or new relief grinding of third-party tools we calculate an additional "shank relief grinding" charge. POLISH GROUND MILLING CUTTERS All milling cutters with corner radii as well as ball nose milling cutters are reground only at the end face and the corner radius. Peripheral grinding on request. HIGH PERFORMANCE ROUGHING CUTTERS MTC WITH INTERNAL TOOTHING For milling cutters that are only suitable for TPC cutting and marked accordingly in the catalogue, we charge a "basic price solid carbide TPC". ROUGHING CUTTERS WITH KNUCKLE PROFILE In order to regain their full performance, these tools require a surface smoothing after reprocessing. For this we calculate an additional "polishing" charge. Applies to: Roughing end mills No , all yellow ring drills/mills uncoated and with ZOX coating as well as all drills/mills with pink ring. We also restore the original geometry of the latest high performance roughing cutter generation, especially with the internal toothing. These tools should be reprocessed before the whole tool flank shows signs of wear. This is the only way a roughing cutter can be reground several times without cutting off too much. Please always check your reground tools for correctness before use. 10

25 GARANT TopCut interchangeable head milling system PRODUCT GROUP 21 IN THE MAIN CATALOGUE Regrinding of GARANT TopCut Modern interchangeable head systems like GARANT TopCut are high-performance tools which can be applied flexibly and hence save resources. GARANT ToolGrinding gives you the option to have these tools reground in original manufacturer quality, thereby increasing their economic profitability even more. The precision of interchangeable head systems lies in the accuracy of the head and shank connection. Only original grinding sockets ensure that the tool is reground without loss of quality. ORDER INFORMATION: Prices and order numbers for regrinding are identical to the cost for solid carbide milling cutters (see page 24). These comprise the basic price plus the surcharges for corner radii, coatings etc. Limitations for deeper lying applications Shank relief GARANT TopCut arbors feature a shank relief of 0.2 in diameter in proportion to the diameter of the milling head. Due to the regrinding of the circumference of the milling head, it is possible that the head in combination with the arbor is no longer suitable for deeper lying applications requiring this shank relief. As part of reprocessing these heads are marked with a colour code at the end of the thread. These heads are fully usable for other applications.
