1 Introduction This app is used to lock, unlock and perform other operations for Interface lock function Mamolica-enabled SD memory cards (hereinafter, the card). Preparing the NFC function Use NFC (Near Field Communication) to perform operations on the card. When using a Windows device, prepare a PaSoRi NFC Reader RC-S380 (RC-S380/S) from SONY. Driver software must be installed. For details, see the PaSoRi instruction manual. About Mamolica password Please set Mamolica password for the card. For details on how to set Mamolica password, please see Configure Mamolica Password. The application will record the Mamolica password that you have specified. (The application only stores the most recent Mamolica password that has been configured or registered.) Take care that no one finds out the Mamolica password set for the card. Take care not to forget the Mamolica password set for the card. If you forget the Mamolica password, NFC with the card will no longer be possible, and you will not be able to perform operations such as initializing the card. Note that without the password, data on the card cannot be recovered even by the manufacturer. If using a card for which a Mamolica password other than the one stored by the application, please see Register Mamolica Password. When you register a new Mamolica password, the Mamolica password stored by the application will be re-written. (The application only stores the most recent Mamolica password that has been set or registered.) You may need to register the Mamolica password also in cases when you re-install the application. Basic Use Basic operations are as follows.

2 1. Connect the PaSoRi to the device and launch the app. 2. The main screen will appear. Select the operation you want to perform. 3. Put the card on the PaSoRi connected to the device. NFC may not function properly if metal is nearby. Be sure to keep metal such as desks a few centimeters away. 4. A screen or message giving the results of the operation will appear. 3 Data on a card can be recovered even if the card is formatted or files deleted using a device such as a PC because data is not entirely deleted. When disposing of a card, please discard it according to all local rules and regulations. All other company names, product names, and service names may be trademarks of their respective companies. Configure Mamolica Password Use the Mamolica password to perform operations on the card. The following message automatically appears in the case of cards for which a Mamolica password has not been set. Set a Mamolica password using the procedure described below. Take care that no one finds out the Mamolica password set for the card. Take care not to forget the Mamolica password set for the card. If you forget the Mamolica password, NFC with the card will no longer be possible, and you will not be able to perform operations such as initializing the card. Note that without the password, data on the card cannot be recovered even by the manufacturer. The app will store the Mamolica password you set. (The application only stores the most recent Mamolica password that has been set or registered.) Operating procedure 1. Connect the PaSoRi to the device and launch the app. 2. Press any button.

4 3. A screen showing the message [Connect the PaSoRi to a PC and put the card on the PaSoRi.] will appear. Put the card on the PaSoRi connected to the device. 4. The following message appears in the case of cards for which Mamolica password has not been set. 5. Enter the Mamolica password that you want to set in the [Mamolica Password] field and the [Confirm Mamolica Password] field, and press [OK]. Set 8 to 16 characters for Mamolica password. The following characters can be used in Mamolica passwords: alphabetic characters (a-z, A-Z), numeric characters (0-9) and some symbols (! # $ % & ( ) * +, -.

5 / : ; < = [ \ ] ^ _ ` { } ~, and space). Note that upper and lowercase alphabetic characters are distinguished by case. 6. If the following screen appears, connect the card again as described in Step The following message will appear. To complete setting Mamolica password, insert the card into a camera or PC and turn on the device. Troubleshooting If the following message appears, the card connected in Step 3 is different from the card connected in Step 5. Try again from the beginning.

6 If the following message appears, the card needs to be initialized. After initializing the card, try again. Register Mamolica Password Before using a card for which a Mamolica password has already been set, you need to register the Mamolica password set for that card to the application in advance. When you register a new Mamolica password, the Mamolica

7 password stored by the application will be re-written. (The application only stores the most recent Mamolica password that has been set or registered.) If the following screen appears repeatedly, the [Delete Mamolica Password] operation just performed may have failed. Following the procedure given on this page, try registering the Mamolica password that was set for the card before executing [Delete Mamolica Password] to the app. Operating procedure 1. Open the menu and select [Register Mamolica Password].

8 2. Enter the Mamolica password that you want to register in the [Mamolica Password] field and the [Confirm Mamolica Password] field, and press [OK].

Operating procedure 1. Connect the PaSoRi to the device and launch the app. 2. Press the [UNLOCK] button.

10 3. The following screen will appear. Put the card on the PaSoRi connected to the device. 4. One of the following screens will appear. If the message (A) appears, insert the card into a camera or PC and turn on the device. If you unlocked the card with it was supplied power, remove the card from the device and reinsert it. (A)

11 (B) Troubleshooting If the following message appears, refer to Configure Mamolica Password starting from Step 4, and set the Mamolica password.

12 If the following message appears, refer to Register Mamolica Password starting from Step 2 to register the Mamolica password to the app, and try again. LOCK This locks the card. Operating procedure 1. Connect the PaSoRi to the device and launch the app.

2. Press the [LOCK] button. 3. The following screen will appear. Put the card on the PaSoRi connected to the device. 4. The following message will appear.

Insert the card into a camera or PC and turn on the device. If you locked the card with it was supplied power, remove the card from the device and reinsert it.

14 Troubleshooting If the following message appears, refer to Configure Mamolica Password starting from Step 4, and set the Mamolica password. If the following message appears, refer to Register Mamolica Password starting from Step 2 to register the Mamolica password to the app, and try again.

15 Check Lock Status of Card This checks the lock status of the card. Operating procedure 1. Connect the PaSoRi to the device and launch the app. 2. Press the [Check Lock Status of Card] button. 3. The following screen will appear. Put the card on the PaSoRi connected to the device.

16 4. A screen corresponding to the lock status of the card will appear. * The figure shows the screen representing locked status. The screen shown differs depending on the model of the card. Troubleshooting If the following screen appears, go back to the main screen by pressing [Back] button and perform a [LOCK] or [UNLOCK] operation.

17 If the following message appears, refer to Configure Mamolica Password starting from Step 4, and set the Mamolica password. If the following message appears, refer to Register Mamolica Password starting from Step 2 to register the Mamolica password to the app, and try again.

18 Initialize Card This initializes the card. Executing [Initialize Card] will delete all data stored on the card. Be sure to back up all important data. The Mamolica password set for the card will not be deleted. Be sure to execute [Delete Mamolica Password] after initialization. Operating procedure 1. Connect the PaSoRi to the device and launch the app. 2. Open the menu and select [Initialize Card].

19 3. The following screen will appear. Put the card on the PaSoRi connected to the device.

20 4. The following message will appear. To complete initialization, insert the card into a camera or PC and turn on the device. Troubleshooting If the following message appears, refer to Configure Mamolica Password starting from Step 4, and set the Mamolica password.

If the following message appears, refer to Register Mamolica Password starting from Step 2 to register the Mamolica password to the app, and try again.

21 If the following message appears, refer to Register Mamolica Password starting from Step 2 to register the Mamolica password to the app, and try again. Delete Mamolica Password This deletes the Mamolica password set for the card. To delete the Mamolica password, execute [Initialize Card], insert the card into a camera or PC and turn on the device to complete initialization first. Operating procedure

22 1. Connect the PaSoRi to the device and launch the app. 2. Open the menu and select [Delete Mamolica Password]. 3. The following screen will appear. Put the card on the PaSoRi connected to the device.

23 4. The following message will appear. To complete deleting the Mamolica password, insert the card into a camera or PC and turn on the device. Troubleshooting If the following message appears, initialization has not been completed. Initialize card and try again.
